Lost all remnants of my login and passwords

Hi guys. I have belonged to these boards for quite a while, mostly in FCP, but things have become very strange. Yesterday, I purchased a song on Itunes. Today I go on and to burn the song to disc. The computer tells me I am not authorized to play it. So I try and log in to authorize. Won't let me. Tells me that the password or id is not correct. I try a different email address and password and it tells me that is correct and now the machine is authorized. When I go to play it, it tells me I am not authorized. When I went to look at my information, my credit card was an old card from months ago and there was no sign of my new card I purchased the song with. I put the new card on months ago as well. It seems all my info was reverted to old info back in the system. I now have a song I need but can't get because no matter what I do, I can't authorize my machine. Anyone at all...anyone....anyone. Thanks

I agree that this DRM stuff can be a bit confusing, but let me try and clear it up a bit.
Authorizing your computer, and authorizing a song can be 2 different things. If the authorization for the computer (Account/PW) is the same as the song, then it appears to be the same.
However, let me explain how they can be different with an example. I have an iTunes account, and my wife has an iTunes account. We wanted ALL our "purchased" songs on 1 iPod, so I copied the songs from my wife's iTunes Library onto a DVD. I put that DVD into my Powerbook, and added those songs to my library. At this point, my Powerbook is authorized for my iTunes Account, and I can play my purchased songs on my Powerbook. But now! If I try and play songs I imported from my wife's computer - it wants my to Authorize myself.
Here's the important point!! I need to Authorize using my wife's iTunes account NOT mine! After this, my Powerbook is now Authorized for BOTH my iTunes account, and my wife's iTunes account, and everyone is happy.
I belive in your case, you may have authorized your computer using one iTunes account, and the song you are trying to play was purchased by another.

  • How can I force ALL logins and passwords to save/remember

I have upgraded to Firefox 8.0. However I can no longer force force Firefox to remember my logins and passwords for certain sites. I was able to do this with my old version by changing some config setting. However, I can not find anything about 8.0 where I can do that again. I'm running XP Pro. Can anyone help? Thanks.

The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

  • FTP login and password are not saved on some sites

On some of my sites the FTP login and password are not saved
(even though the "saved" box is checked). Dreamweaver 8.0 on XP
SP2. I can export the site information and then import the same
file exported and there still will be no login or password placed
in the login or password window. I opened the exported .ste files
in notepad and found the login correct and the password incorrect.
I uninstalled Dreamveaver and reinstalled still same
    problem.

Ok, I just spent about 3 hours on this. Here's the latest
that I've found. I had looked at the knowledgebase and my registry
matched what was suggested. As this has been an ongoing issue for
me, I thought it was still an issue. Apparently 8.02 did have some
    improvements.
I can only guess that many of the 36 sites I have in the Site
Manager lost info before the .02 update.. or I hope so.
I did however discover that there is still what could be
considered a minor bug. I went in to Manage Sites and selected edit
for all of my sites, fixing the ones that had lost their user/pass
info. I'm not positive, but I think only the last edited site kept
    it's data.
I discovered after many checks on all the sites, over and
over and over, that it appears that they are now holding the data,
but, if I add the user/pass, I must not only click the OK button to
close that particular site, but I must also click the 'Done' button
before only that one will be saved.
So, I thought I was fixing logins when in fact I was only
fixing one at a time.. Completely closing 'Manage Site' seemed to
hold one new set of login data each time. Seems that it shouldn't
    be this way.
But I must say, I am rejoicing at the moment, as I actually
have all my sites set up with FTP info and I am now looking forward
to hopefully adding more and maybe they'll actually be available
    for the next editing session.

  • How to share user login and passwords between blog, forum and Dreamweaver?

I have a site created with Dreamweaver. I want to allow
visitors to create a username and password which will allow them to
post blog feedback to many pages on my site, post in a forum, and
provide their own comments into a database I can show the results
for on certain pages. The trick is I want this to all work with one
username and password so they don't have to use 3 different logins.
I'm not sure if this is too technical, but I thought I'd ask before
getting into it and realizing it won't work or I don't have a clue
    what I'm doing.
I want to allow blog data to be added to a page with CSS
content by both admin and visitors (to create an active discussion
based on the data on that page). I've seen it on some sites, but
don't know how to do it myself:
    http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/19/ea-extends-take-two-purchase-offer-deadline-a-third-time /
I can see they are using Weblogs Inc. software, but it
appears the company only collaborates with people they see a fit
    with.
I also want a forum and I know phpp is recommended. I like
the interface, but am unsure if the login data can be shared with a
    blog.
Lastly, I wanted to allow users to write their own reviews
and then show the results and average them for display on the site.
I have read and know how to create the database for the site. I
just don't know how to share the usernames and password information
    with the blog and forum.
Also, how do I force Dreamweaver to validate that the
usernames and passwords are exactly correct before letting people
    post under that identity?
I'm loving Dreamweaver and making sites so far. Just trying
to take it to the next level.
    Thanks very much!

What you want is a CMS, but your not going to get one for
    Dreamweaver,
well, not the kind you want. Something like Joomla can do
    this, you can
add phpBB3 to it, and then using the JFusion extension allow
    them to
share the user database, but I warn you now, its a steep
    learning curve.
I ended up buying a book just to get to grips with the key
    concepts.

  • Saving login and password of the server in MD5-Challenge

I want to authenticate the server automatically using MD5-Challenge with Cisco Secure ACS4.1.
When I unplugged and plugged the network cable, it always prompt for login and password.
How can I avoid this process?
What can I do if I want to have authentication automatically at the start-up of my server.
Note: All the fonctionnality of the ACS server is OK

This is a function of the server. How this will work, if at all, depends on which type of server you have.
Which server, which network device and what scenario are you using with MD5?

  • How to get safari to remember login and password after I said do not remember

I went to a website through Safari and logged in and accidentally hit Never remember for this site and now I cannot get safari to remember the login and password. I have gone through preferences/passwords and the site is not listed and it will not allow me to add a site.  I would love help with this since I log on to this site just about every day! Any suggestions?

It might be a corrupted keychain ...
Open Keychain Access located in HD > Applications > Utilities
Open Keychain Access then select Passwords on the left.
Right or control click a keychain then click Delete.
Back to Safari. Login to the website you want the password autofilled.
Click Yes when prompted to save that data to a new keychain.
Keep in mind, not all websites espcially financial institutions allow the autofill feature.

  • Conference link with login and password included

    Hi,
I have been trying to find a way to make Adobe Connect send meeting invitation e-mails with login and password included in the link - unfortunately to no avail.
Does anyone know, if it's at all possible to do it and if so, how it's done?
I'm still on a trial version, but I've been assured, that it shoudn't be a problem.
Thanks in advance for any hints!
    Kamil

OK, I played with it and here is how I got it to work:
    Appending the URL:
The URL would need to be appended with /?login=username&password=password. The "api/xml?action=" string was incorrect. I verified that this does work.
The full URL would look similar to this: http://realeyesconnect.adobeconnect.com/bestroomever/?login=myusername&password=drowssap
The login can also be done programmatically. You would need to do the following steps to get the log-in to be automatic.
Log the individual into the server:http://YourServerURL/api/xml?action=login&login=username&password=password
Should return a value of OK
Get the BREEZESESSION cookie for the user:
    http://YourServerURL/api/xml?action=common-infoShould show a value similar to this:<cookie>na3breezr59qzu2pp2qy4zdm</cookie>
Log the user in to the room with the cookie:http://YourServerURL/RoomLink/?session=na3breezr59qzu2pp2qy3zdm
Guest names can also be added to the url link. These options are described here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/connect/9.0/webservices/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d11a171dd2d4-7 ff4_SP1.html

  • Captive Wi-Fi network not saving login and password

Since yesterday my iPhone 5S stopped asking if I want to save the login and password information when start a session on a captive Wi-Fi network. The settings Safari>Passwords & Autofill is on and Safari isn't in Private mode. It was working until yesterday and had the option to automatically fill in when I touched the login field.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
    iPhone 5S - iOS 8.0.2

Well, I tried to duplicate what you talked about. I have my wireless here at home, and I chose, "Forget this network" and when I went to rejoin, it asked for a password. Many public networks take their username and password through the browser. Have you tried to open Safari to see if it will default to the username/password screen? I've used mine at hotels that change their access every 24 hours and if I try to log back on after the time, it defaults back to the login screen. That is the only solution that I can think of. And yes, if you go to settings and reset network settings, it will clear all of them.

You can, if logged in using the same Apple ID for all.
