Lost an ipod 4th generation but its offline

the ipod has a passcode but has no way to connect to the interent to be found, what should we do?

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

i try to charge my ipod 4th generation but can not see the battary been charge and also cannot connect to itunes on my computer

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

You may be in possession of stolen property.
Take the phone to an AT&T store and report that you found it.
If anyone tries to register it, even with a current AT&T account, that they will not be able to since the account info is basically tied with the iphone Serial #, and IMEI #s.

  • I lost My iPod 4th Generation 32GB in my house and i havnt truned on iCloud or downloaded any apps that locate a lost iOS product. Is their any alternative to find it? Please help!

I lost my Ipod 4th gen in my house. i havnt activated iCloud or downloaded any apps to help find it. PLEASE HELP! Is there any alternative?!

The only alternative is to search for it, at least you know it is in your house so that narrows down the search area and keeps it under your control.

  • If I restore my iPod 4th generation to its factory settings, will iOS 6 still be installed?

I mistakenly updated my iPod to iOS 6 and I wanted to restore it hoping it would downgrade back to iOS 5. Soo if I restore my iPod 4th genartion, will iOS 6 still be installed?

No, it would not revert to iOS 5. Restoring only means removing your personal settings, apps and other things. it would not downgrade the iOS version.

  • I restored my ipod 4th generation but i lost all of my photos. I used iCloud but i have never synced with itunes. Is there any way I can get my pictures back?

On the settings I went to iCloud then went to storage and backup and it saus total storage 5.0 gb and avaible storage is 2.7 gb but all of my photos arent there. Then when I click manage storage it says camera roll 2.0 gb is there any way i can get my photos back? please help

If you use the same iCloud ID and before you will get your contact, calendar and notes and other iCloud things back. If your previously has PhotoStream one you will also get back the last 30 days of photos.
It appears you do not use the same iCloud ID.
What do you see for Contacts, Calendar and Notes when you go to icloud.com and sing in with the same ID. You need a computer browser.

  • I found an ipod 4th gen but its disabled.how do i unlock it?

    I need help unlocking it

An Apple Store w/ Genius bar may be able to help someone unlock
their own Apple iDevice, however since it was found & belongs to
another, about the only reason to unlock it would be to find original
owner and return it. A 'lost-and-found' department may exist at a
local police station or somewhere near where it was found.
Lost items taken to an Apple Store would be handled according to
any policies and procedures they have in place. Whether or not
those unclaimed have any further disposition would be something
to discuss with someone at the Apple Store representing retail
Apple. They may have some process to help return it to an owner.
If you buy an iPod, iPad, or other device and lose the Apple ID one
used to set up the iDevice, an Apple Store could likely be of help if
the person who owns it has proof of purchase in their possession.

Restore, if iTunes will let you.  Everything except the password will be restored.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  Be forewarned that it takes a long time.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

  • HT5622 i lost my ipod 4th generation how can i find it?

    please help

If it's an iPod touch, click here for information.
If it's a different iPod model, there's no special way of finding it; treat it as any other lost item.

  • How do i reset ipod 4th generation when i am putting in the right password

I am putting in the right password on my ipod 4th generation but it keeps saying it is wrong & saying to wait certain amounts of time unitil i can try again.

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup).
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.
You may have to force iPad/iPod into Recovery Mode
