Lost and not found?

For the last 4yrs I have been purchasing tracks from itunes but for some reason only 21 of those purchases shows on my purchase history can anyone help me
find those lost tracks?

3rd network interface unknown and not found - udev renaming

I have an Arch linux based firewall with 3 wired network interfaces, one on the mobo.
In a thunderstorm one of the pci-based interfaces died.
Upon changing that one to another with the same chipset (realtek 8139) as the one on the mobo, udev hangs a long time on boot and the latter (eth2) becomes unknown and not found.
Looking at the kernel log I find the following before change:
kernel: udev[435]: renamed network interface eth1 to eth1-eth2
kernel: udev[426]: renamed network interface eth2 to eth1
kernel: udev[435]: renamed network interface eth1-eth2 to eth2
And after the change just this:
kernel: udev[426]: renamed network interface eth2 to eth2-eth1
What is going on and how can I avoid this?

Could you post the output of sudo lspci -v ?? I am wondering if the chipsets are conflicting with each other's resources. They shouldn't, but it sounds like one of them might have been a little traumatized and may be a little brain damaged. (Pardon my anthropomorphisms)

You got it.
Notes - if notes are created in icloud notes (you may have multiple notes accounts) - icloud notes and only icloud are synced over all your devices and icloud server, so if you want to see those on the server you can go and manage (edit) on www.icloud.com.
Since notes synchronize by using same IMAP email server - turning them "ON" will prompt you to create mail address.
To add to that you do not have 10.8 that has it's own notes app, so your notes go to Notes folder in your icloud/me/mac mail and synched by your mail server.

Muse lost and not possible to install it again

After installing Creative Cload on my laptop I also installed Creatiev Cloud Muse cc, But I dont find this program on my compueter and I can't install it again. When I open the window of Creative Cload on mu computer, Lightroom 5 and Muse CC are on the top with a green checkmark. But I can't find Muse CC on my computer. Also the church egine can't find this program.
Hope someone can help me.

Lost and then found the Settings icon on iPad 2. Can I prevent this?

I just got an iPad2 several weeks ago and love it. Today I discovered that the settings icon was gone from the Home Page. Not on the second page either.
I found some suggestions on this forum (by searching "google" which is much easier and takes you right to the thread you need),that I needed to reset the home page, but not how to do that. I had taken "iPad2 The Missing Manual" out from the Library and was able to easily find how to use spotlight to find the settings and then how to reset the home page from there, and the icon came right back. I couldn't find anything in the User Guide about how to do that. Only the statement that Setting>General has a place where you can choose what you want to reset. I'm glad I had the Missing Manual. Is there somewhere else I should have looked for this? And did I do something to cause it? The only things I am aware of that changed was that I synched the iPad to my mac yesterday and also downloaded the Xfinity Mobile App so that I can get my Comcast emails. If I know why I lost the Settings icon, maybe I can prevent it. If there isn't any reason, I'll just chalk it up as one of those "technical things" and be glad that I know now how to fix it.

I don't think that you did anything wrong. Unless you were moving apps around and lost track of what you were putting where - that would be the only thing that you could consciously do to cause the app to move to another screen.
I have the Xfinity mobile app and never lost any app icons. I would simply chalk it up to one of those wierd things that happens from time to time when you sync.
You can download the User Guide as a free book in the iBookstore and the user guide is available as a bookmark in Safari as well. Frankly, I've not seen anything that answers every question that can come up when you are using the iPad. Google has been a great friend to me as well as has this discussion site.

Records lost and not transferable/playable

Now I am quite angry
Have just come back from 2 days with interviews and found that none of the recordings were possible to transfer either by using Itunes or by using iPod as a harddisk.
In the iPod in the memolist, all memos were there and every memo also showed the exakt time and date. The size of the memos was also detectable in Explorer.
When I tried to listen to each memo from the memolist I could listen for 1 to approx 4 minutes before I was "kicked" back to memo list. The same symptom happened when trying to copy the memos to my computer, the transfer seemed to work for a while, and then stoped. I got an error message.
It seems like the recording doesn't have been stored correctly?!?
Have an 4th gen iPod 20GB with color display, The latest iPod software and iTunes 5.01. and uses an iTalk.
Any one got any suggestion, what the problem might be? It seems like the recording stops after a while, but the iPod does not indicate any such thing. When I try to copy the files or uses iTunes to transfer the memos, it sounds like the HD works really hard, just as a HD do when it does not find the file they are looking for.
Now I am only angry and sad, though these interviews were really important.
I bought my iPod mainly for the recording function and now it seems like it was wasted money.

I am having the same problem. I could use the record function with iTunes 4.7. When I upgraded to version 5 it would not work so I upgraded to version 6 but it still does not work. It did not work with automatic upload, it just gets stuck and the application stops responding. It worked once with a manual upload but now that does not work either. These are large files I am talking about 30 to 40 MB. I have not tried it with smaller recently. I bought Quicktime 7 Pro but the same thing happened when I tried to save, the application froze.
Is any one else having these problems. I am a speech therapist and record interviews and would like to be able to do this.

Movie dowloaded and not found on my apple tv on downloads or settings or my movies, What happened and where is it?

My apple tv first generation downloaded a movie. The apple tv stopped working and then had to restart apple tv and the movie is now not any where to be found. When go back to top movies it says I have already downloaded the movie and do I want to rent again. What is going on and how can I find the movie?

Firstly, try unpowering and restarting AppleTV - this may just be a glitch.

Sad iPod and not found on computer -tred all relevant articles

My iPod was working fine until I finally decided to update the software. After i did this, it told me to update my firmware by plugging it in. I did, and then when I unplugged it later on, every song on my iPod was gone. A few days later, I plugged the iPod into my computer and all the songs magically came back on it, even the ones that were not backed up on the computer I plugged it into. It worked fine for a couple of days, but this morning when I tried to play a song, it kept lagging and would struggle, making some clicking sounds (not continuous ones like when a harddrive crashes, just occasional ones like it was having trouble reading), so I reset it. When I started up again, I got the sad iPod icon. I have since tried everything in every relevant support article I could find. I tried the 5 R's, and I also put it into disk mode (which it finally did, after much lagging), but still my computer would not recognize it, even after reinstalling iTunes.
Basically, what it comes down to, is I cannot restore it, because I cannot get my computer to recognize it. It has always worked fine on this computer -- in fact, I never had a single problem with my iPod until I tried to update the software. I guess I learned, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' - but how can I ever get my iPod to work again? Please help me!
PS: Somehow I accidentally put this topic in the wrong thread at first... I never even clicked on any fourm, so I don't know how it got there, and I cannot figure out how to delete my post either. For an award-winning site, it just doesn't seem very user-friendly to me >.<

The Sad iPods icon or folder with an exclamation mark are the toughest problems to deal with, and must do a Restore in order to fix it. However, when your iPod is showing this icon, it is probably too late for your computer to recognize the iPod.
1. Try these five steps (known as the five Rs) and it would conquer most iPod issues.

Still can't see your iPod?
Several things could keep iPod from appearing in iTunes or in the Desktop/Finder when you connect it to your PC/Mac. The most likely causes are listed below in logical order. Check from the top of the list to see if that is what's keeping iPod from appearing.
3. Try to wait 30 minutes while iPod is charging.
4. Try another known-good FireWire or USB through Dock Connector cable.
5. Try another known-good FireWire or USB port on your computer .
6. Try to disconnect all devices from your computer's FireWire and USB ports.
7. Windows users having trouble with their iPods should locate a Mac user. We've found that in many cases when an iPod won't show up on a PC that it will show up on the Mac. Then it can be restored. When the PC user returns to his computer the iPod will be recognized by the PC, reformatted for the PC, and usable again. By the way, it works in reverse too. A Mac user often can get his iPod back by connecting it to a PC and restoring it.
8. Try to do an Erase (Disk Utility) on a Mac computer or a format with a PC (Disk Management tool) but ensure you choose the right Drive (your iPod not your Hard Disk of your computer). You may need to plug and unplug your iPod with the computer for several attempts, and switching around Format and Restore, and hope out of sudden, it will get recognized.
9. Diagnostic mode solution – which I copied from a thread of a post from thinktwice
“Then I cam across this special Diganostics Mode that you can get to by resetting and then while the Apple is showing pressing the Select and backwards keys simultaneously. It bring up and weird Diagnostic utility witha a abunch of tests. Here is what I did
- I tried the 5in1 test and got and error on Firewire.
- I did the HDD R/W and surprisingly it passed.
- I went on to the HDD scan. This supposedly tkaes acouple of minute so I waited. I think 4-5 dots appeared then nothing. The iPod started to get hot. THe disk was spinning away. After a while the battery got very low. THis test chews up the battery. So I escaped out by resetting and went to connect it to a power source.
My USB was dangling out of my computer and I was too lazy to get the Firewire AC adapter thing going so I connected expecting the whole lockup thing with iTunes. Surprise. IT was recognized immediately and has been working like a champ. So go figure.

Yeah, the computer will treat it as a fresh external hard disk, which will get force mounted, the computer will ask you to format the iPod. It does not really matter the format is completed or not, the key is to erase (or partly) the corrupted iPod software on the iPod, after that the computer will recognize it.
Once it has been completed, eject your iPod, open the iPod updater and interestingly, you will able to do the Restore this time.
Base on the above, that's why I suggest Windows users who experience trouble with their iPods should locate a Mac machine or vice versa. PC computer will not recognize a Mac formatted iPod, but it will get mounted in an attempt to format your iPod.
But, if none of these steps address the issue, your iPod may need to be repaired. You can arrange for service at the iPod Service Website.
I have just read an interesting solution about the Sad iPod, it does make sense but the warranty will be waived once you open the iPod, I would not do it myself as I am not good on doing this

When downloading Itunes I get error messages that say Error 2 and not found.

Itunes goes through the download process and it will not open. I get the error messages listed above. Have been on the phone with Apple for hours. Getting frustrated cause I want to use my want to use my new IPOd. Any proven suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you trying to download some sort of iTunes program for installation on your Windows computer?

Lost app not found in appworld

Hello. Following the latest desktop software update crashing at the backup process, my blackberry curve 8530 was reset to out-of-the-box condition, except that it wiped out all the user apps. I have recovered the ones (both purchased and free) that I could reinstall through appworld, but the ones that are available there.
Question: is it possible to reinstall apps such as Notes and Maps and the ToGo productivity sampler?
These do not appear to be available on AppWorld, and do not show on the uninstalled list there. Thanks in advance!

With iOS 8 iBooks comes with the OS, there's no need to download it anymore (and you can no longer delete it from the iPad either). If you are running an earlier release of iOS than 8 the app is still available for download from the store.

I lost my iPhone 5 recently and it recently resurfaced again... in Algeria. The guy who bought it in the black market contacted me to try and see if I can give him my password. Is there anyways that my iPhone can be returned to me?

Ask the person that bought it. I'm guessing he won't. You could always make contact with the law enforcement agency that you reported your missing phone to and see if they will deal with it. Otherwise, I don't know of anything else. We are users like you, so no one here can do anything.
