Lost Apps in IOS5 Transition Cannot be Recovered

Over the past several months I have purchased and downloaded a number of apps directly from the App Store and installed them on my iPad. They were not stored on any other computer, and I did not sync to install them on my iPad. When I transitioned to IOS5 all of these purchased apps disappeared. I was instructed to go back to the Apps store and select Purchased, and I would be able to download them and install them again. I did exactly as instructed, and it appeared to work just fine. However, I now find that all of the apps I reloaded do not work. When I select the icon all of these reloaded apps do not work., Now I am in a real fix. I can't even re-purchase the apps since when I go to the apps store it tells me they are installed. Well, they appear to be installed and yet not a single one is functional. Among others I have lost Pages, Numbers, Garage Band and many more totaling about $150 worth of software. This loss makes my iPad essentailly useless to me.

Try a reset and see if they work after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
You could also try downloading any new free app from the store (as that has appeared to reset something for similar problems in the past) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.
A third option is to try closing all apps completely and then see if they work when you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e.not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.

Its a preinstalled app and therefore cannot be deleted so you may have inadvertently moved it onto a screen or into a folder. Check all screens and folders and do a search in Spotlight, it will tell you in the app it still on your iPhone but unfortunately not where it is. If you find it on one or your screens or in a folder, press until the icon wiggles and then drag it back to where you want it. Alternatively you can reset your home screen in Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components
3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch

By all means get iLife but just for the record you don't HAVE to use Apple's photo application;
there are many more around, quite a lot of them free.

Lost apps...how to recover

Synced my ipad and lost about 12 apps. Unfortunately, I didn't have a backup (no way to backup that I could find) so I'm left with a fraction of my apps. Does ITunes have a list of apps bought by a person? And is there anyway to recover lost apps from ITunes or do I have to buy them all over again?

Once purchased the apps are tied to your iTunes account. You can redownload them as many times as you want. Upgrade your phone? No problem. Just open the App Store app, sign in with your itunes account and go to the updates tab then hit Not in this iPhone to review all your past purchases and to reinstall them. Or you can search for apps you already purchased and just install them.
Newer devices will show you app you've already purchased while older devices will not. If on an older device you find your previous purchased app then hit buy, sign in with the iTunes account that the app was purchased on and go. A message will appear saying you've already bought this app then asking if you want to install it again for free.

I would like to recover lost app I purchased in the past.
I did an OS upgrade to iOS 6.0.1, then I got about 34 update notifications. The system failed to update after I authenticate. Through research online, I was advise to uninstall the apps and the reinstall them. After the apps uninstallation, I found that I am not entitle to the purchased apps that was installed on my phone earlier. In iTunes, I only found apps I installed in the past year.
Is there a way to recover lost apps that I purchased? I used the same apple account for the past 3 years.

Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

Before upgrading have you got your backup on desktop software ?
If yes then can , then connect your device to BB desktop software > On BB Desktop software Click applications>
There you can see all you application List before your upgrade.
Select on the Application that you want to transfer then Click APPLY.
If your Lost Apps are paid APPS. and you are not able get it than look at this thread link reinstalling paid apps

My Iphone is telling me the same thing. I have already removed all unneeded apps, pics, docs, & even saved photo stream and deleted pics from my phone. I have removed all of my music from the itunes sync process and in addition have checked and unchecked the box for the music sync. It has continuously shown that I do have more than enough free space available. After all of this I have 14.75 gigs free. I will now see if I can put music back and sync. Please let me know if you (or anyone else reading this) has found or has a solution. This is extremely frustrating after I worked so hard cleaning my 382 gigs of music with Tune up. Even though I had this app, it was still time consuming. Ugggg! Would love to see my music correctly on my Iphone but now this! Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can give me.
