Lost audio and startup is really slow.
Hi! I installed the latest upgrades and the restart was really slow. I shut down for a few hours and the start up time is a bit better, however I no longer have audio. Everything else seems to be working fine. I'm using a 2008 Black MacBook. Any ideas on what's wrong and how I can fix it?

Hmm it seems my internal speakers are no longer in the sound pane. Just something called "soundflower" which has no output controls. Am I going to need to do a reinstall? I hope not

Hi my name is Timothy and I have had my iPod Touch 4th Generation 32 GB for about 8 months and when I got it, it was fast but now i updated it to 6.1.6 and it goes really slow i have only used 6.8 GB of space on it and there is 21.7 GB left on it.
Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.
The try
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

I have windows on my mac which was installed at the apple store. I have lost audio and cannot connect to the internet on the windows side. Mac is ok. apple genius and tech support can't help me and say I need to go to microsoft. In fact the tech support was unaware that windows was loaded on by the apple retail store. Has anyone else had this problem?I recently bought fusion thinking this would help bridge between the two( as told by the genius bar) but it didn't help.Any ideas?
hey mate i used to have the same problem and i got computers maintenance guys out to fix it in the end and all it was, was the router.. got a new one and it was all good after that! i think some routers just arent compatible for some reason or another.

IMac slow startups but really slow shutdowns.
Had a problem with slow startups and shutdowns which continued to get worse. Stumbled onto resolution. Shutdowns and startups continued to slow down. Found in Activity Monitor that HP scheduler kept running. computer log showed several "halt" at shutdown. Went into Accounts-Login Tab- Found 3 HP programs which loaded when I had a HP printer driver update. They should have uninstalled after the driver update but continued to run. Deleting the HP files from this tab did not cause any problems with my printer. My iMac is back to its normal "fast" startups and shutdowns. Anyone with a HP printer may want to look here if they are having problems.

Hi There, I have just started using ps and lr today after downloading it. It is going really slow and taking a long to do one thing.
I us a Mac and I keep getting the spinning rainbow ball. I also had an error come up saying 3D features require a minimum of 512mb of vRAM. PS has detected less than that on your system. Updating the diver of your graphics card may resolve the issue. ...
Then it sends me a link to adobe..
What does this mean? Is this causing the slowness? I don't think I am using anything to do with 3D..

MacBook Pro can't recognize battery, fan is at high speed and computer functions really slow
My MacBook Pro suddenly won't recognize it's battery so I tried rmoving it's battery and put it back again. I can use it but there is still an (X) sign instead of the battery percentage on the upper right corner of my desktop. After this I turned on my laptop and all of a sudden the fan turned on on high speed and it became slow (by slow I mean really slow) even if I don't open/use anything on my computer because of this I went to an Apple Service Center and they tried to check if its because of the hard drive, RAM and all that stuff. They told me it's not because of those things but they also told me that maybe the wiring or the cable of the battery that connects to the computer is not working so I have to replace it. But for the fan and the slowing of my computer they don't know what's happening.

Lost audio and rooms disappearing
I'm checking to see if anyone else is having increased issues in a couple of areas (it has gotten so bad, we're having to look at alternatives):
1. We had multiple recorded classes last week. When we went back to listen to playbacks, only half had the audio track. (We do a lot of these, so we're sure it wasn't user error.)
2. We scheduled a multi-day class. When we went in to start the calss, the whole room and all setup had disappeared.
3. During a class, we suddenly lost some of our pods, and could not bring them back.We did report these cases to Adobe.
The response on the disappearing room - "no clue"
No response after 5 days on the lost audio. We've had to reschedule classes at significant lost revenue to our company. -
Lost audio and slowed video after changing to WIN 8
Apparently there were drivers to correct this issue from conexant high defintion audio 220. Is there any chance that drivers will be updated? And video has slowed down by 4 times.
Did you use the Microsoft Compatibility Center for Windows 8 . before you upgraded to Win 8?

You may have to go back to Win 7, on the other hand you can try to load Win 7 drivers on Win 8, does not always work though.

Garageband error messages and it's really slow
When I try to open Garageband I get the message:
"GarageBand has detected a possible conflict between one or more third party MIDI or audio drivers."
Then I click OK a couple of times and it opens but it's super slow. This is only been since I upgraded to iLife'09. It worked fine before. PLEASE HELP!what audio interface and MIDI keyboards and/or Controllers are connected or have been connected to your Mac?

Lost audio and video in existing projects
In already finished HD-projects parts of video and audio clips (MXF-files, Motion- and MP4 files) can't be viewed and played in the viewer and canvas anymore. Video became black (thumbnails are visible) and audio is not audible while the waveform is available.
The problem seemed to be influenced by the rendered content of the timeline in the sequence.
So I removed all the rendered files in the Render folder with Render Manager and re-rendered the sequence with no positive results. Moving everything to a new project, reconnecting or re-importing the files into the same project make no difference at all.
Only when I'm importing the files into a new project the clips can fully be played.

AntonI think I could solve my problem:
The CalibratedSoftware application CalibratedMXFOptions seemed to be switched back to the Demo license (it's not clear why?), which terminated the duration of the imported files to 30 seconds. Re-activating the proper license and using the QuickRefresh for FCP application updated these files and made FCP recognizing the proper duration of the MXF an MP4 files.
That was not enough. I opened a new project, saved it and opened parallel the 'damaged' project.
That was all!

10.9.2 lost audio and no core audio process present
This is a 2 month old MBP with the 512GB SSD and 16GB of RAM.
I've tried rebooting and reseting the PRAM as well as invoking the command in terminal to kill and start core audio process. Nothing. If I look in the Activity monitor there is no core audio process running. Right now I have no audio.
The problem presented itself after attemtping to plug in a pair of earphones. I've inspected the phone jack and it is clear of dust / debris.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Ok, I found the core audio process - I didn't have "All Processes" selected in the View. I tried killing it but still no luck. I also tried resetting my SMC.
