Lost CD for WRT54GS

Linksys router helper thingy was installed on my old computer which is broken beyond repair. I have my router connected to my new comp but I wanna get that linksys helper thing on it because i have reason to believe that somebody is using my connection and want to kick them off.
If there is a way, how can I install that linksys helper thingy without the CD and how can I kick a person off who is using my connection?

Apparently you can make your router faster with a cable. Anybody wanna tell me how this is done?

Are you talking about Linksys Easy Link Advisor(LELA) ? If you want to install LELA then, you can download it from the linksys website. Go to www.linksysbycisco.com/downloads and type LELA in the search box to download it.

Lost username for WRT54GS, resetting router doesn't seem to restore defaults

I lost username for WRT54GS so I tried resetting as per instructions, holding down reset key for 30 seconds, but can't log in using 'admin' and blank password, which I understand is factory default, and which should have been restored on reset--right? I have reset the router at least 3 times, always making sure I push reset key in for 30 seconds. That's the simplest to explain of two related problems.
On a second computer on same network, I have no Internet access at all, and if I try to get to the router it says it can't find 192.168.1.1. Since I can access the Internet on computer #1, and also have a voice over IP device hooked up to router that is also working, I assume this problem is on computer #2 and not the router EXCEPT--how does this relate to the problem stated for computer #1?
Before this particular way of acting, computer #2 was announcing that there was an IP address conflict. It doesn't say that now, it just can't connect to anything. What's odd is that if I display network connections on computer #2, the Linksys connection shows and displays strong signal exactly as it does on computer #1, so obviously computer #2 can 'see' the router, but clicking 'Connect' on the wireless network connections window doesn't work, it simply won't connect. I tried setting up network again but that didn't clear the problem.
I have a great suspicion this has to do, at least in part, with IP addresses but don't know where to go from here.
I appreciate detailed step by step instructions because I am a novice at this. Brave but ignernt.

Actually, its the other way around, blank username and admin for the password.

is there no firmware upgrade for WRT54G v7? i didn't even find version7 as listed in linksys page for routers....

Click on Download and save the file on your Desktop..
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on a computer hard wired to the router...In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1...Leave the Username blank & in Password use dmin in lower case...Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab-Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful" After the firmware
upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
Now reset your router :
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

What is it you need - Windows installer disc or something else? Your question is unclear. Could you be more specific?

Lost Opportunity for Account not displayed

Hi all,
In the view Accounts, we can see the assigned Opportunities for the Account (in the view Opportunities). So all opportunities for the Account are displayed here.
The problem is, when the opportunity status is set to closed or lost, the opportunity dissapear from this view. So we are not able to see the lost opportunities for the Account anymore in this view.
But on another system, we are able to see also the lost opportunities for the Account in this view, so it should be some customizing setting I think.
Please, can anyone help me, how to configure displaying also of the lost and closed opportunities for the Account ?

I guess that this is standard behaviour and on the other system you probably don't use the same status shema. The behaviour must be related with sytem status I1028 (lost). So if you want to show also lost opportunities you must either uses some other system status or doa modification of code for displaying opportunities.

Trying to upgrade firmware for WRT54G V6 on Windows 7

Since buying a windows 7 PC, my WRT54G V6 is dropping connection a lot more than it should (1/hr). Because of this i thought to update the firmware. I have downloaded the new .bin and accessed 192.168.1.1, but when i try to move to the ADMINISTRATION page all i get is ascii chars and no admin page, the only pages that actually work are the basic setup and DDNS setup. For info i'm currently running Firmware Version: v1.00.9
Asked for help online and got as far as downloading Tftp,0, but that onlyworks to the point where it tells me ''unable to get responses from the servers''
can anyone help or do i just get a new router ???

Try to upgrade the router's firmware using TFTP utility..Download the TFTP utility and save it on the desktop.Also Download the firmware for WRT54G v6 and save it on the desktop.
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Double click the TFTP.exe file and click run.
For Server- Enter the IP Address of the router that you assigned. By default, the router is 192.168.1.1...
For Password- Enter the password you assigned the router. By default, the router’s password is “admin”.
For File- Click the triple “…” button and browse for the .bin firmware file...
Click Upgrade button to start upgrading. A progress bar should show up to show the progress.
Once the Upgrade is done press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...
**Make sure your modem is connected to the router on internet port and the computer on the ethernet port of the router while you run the TFTP program.

New Firmware for WRT54G ver6 Posted

Saw new firmware posted on the download page for wrt54g ver6 dated 7/2/07, the new version is 1.02.2 good luck people.

I get "Bandwidth value is out of range 64--10000" when enabling QoS. When I set to Upstream Bandwidth to Manual, the problem goes away. But when I switch back to Auto, I am able to save the settings initially. But when I try again, the problem comes back.
Wonder what's wrong... this is no issue with firmware 1.00.9.

Sorry, Glor, you are correct - right numbers, wrong terminology. In fact, I'm not even sure that it possible (yet) to purchase an iPhone at that unsubsidized price in the US.
Thomas, yes, $499 to replace your 16 GB phone. You are correct in that you should try to do that at an AT&T Store, rather than an Apple Store (they have enough difficulties with non-standard activations).
