Lost Cell Numbers of All Facebook Contacts on my Contact List

A large number of contacts on my Blackberry Z10 had both cell numbers and Facebook info on them.  Last week something happened and all of the cell numbers I had for my contacts that also were Facebook contacts disappeared and therefore I can't text them.
Their Facebook profiles are still there but the cell numbers are gone.  The contacts that are not Facebook related or connected still have the cell numbers and I can text them.
When a contact that is Facebook related texts me, only their cell number, not their name comes up.  When a non-Facebook related contact texts me their name comes up.
Does anyone know what I did wrong?  And can anyone help me get my contact info back?  I have a slight suspicion that it has something to do with some type account info I didn't update but I can't figure it out.

You might be saving your contacts in different address books.
Try this:  Go to your contacts, press the icon at the bottom left of the screen (it may say, favorites, SIM, twitter, or your work contacts), this will take you to a menue, select ALL.  This will display all your contacts across all address books into a single list.
You may consder saving all your new contacts in your device memory.
Hope this helps.

Since I joined iCloud, I have lost all my "Contact" list, i.e. all my telephone numbers. How can I recover them?

Are you using iCloud as well as manually synchronizing via iTunes?
    And, do you have backup?

That number is for an apple server in the UK that is used for iMessage activation.  A hidden SMS is snet to that number when you turn iMessage on and is used to verify your phone number.  I suggest you turn iMessage off.  In settings/phone turn on dial assist.  Check with your carrier to see if you can send an international SMS as you end that possibility to activate iMessage.  Rest your phone (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).) then turn iMessage back on.

What you can do is, go to Settings-> facebook-> Your name-> delete account-> delete-> remove facebook info.
This will remove all the fb contacts. but before you again sign your fb account into your iOS, have the option of contacts set to off.

    - What is the source of the videos? If taken by the iPod you can transfer them to the new computer by:
Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer
    - If they were iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
    - If they were synced to the iPod and not iTunes purchases then you need a third-party program like TouchCopy or PhoneView.

I tried to sync my iphone 4, all my contact list got messed up, all of them got douplicated. And plus I got some of my old deleted contact lists back to my iphone!!what should I do?

iTunes only keeps one backup, every new backup replaces the old one, only backups used to restore from are not overwritten and marked with a time stamp.
If you can't find any other backup in iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices, your contact info's are gone. Only if you included the backup folder in your computer backup routine, you would be able to restore the old backup folder containing the latest backup at that time.
The location of the backup folder is described in this article: iPhone and iPod touch: About backups

  • How do I get facebook phone numbers into my iphone contacts list?

I switched from a droid to an iPhone recently and with the droid all of my facebook contacts with phone numbers were synced into my phone and I can't figure out how to do that with my iPhone. I know that you can sync exsisting contacts with their facebook pictures, birthdays, etc but I want my facebook contacts into my phone without having to type in each number individually.

  • Mac OS X Mavericks do not sync all Facebook contacts

I'm using OS X (10.9.1) on a MacBook Air and I have added my Facebook account to the OS settings. The Contacts app did sync with Facebook but it didn't get all my Facebook contacts. Do I need to make any special configuration for that?

    Hi,
Those messages seem to refer to this http://www.wondershare.net/mac-android-manager/
I presume you have installed this ?
Whilst these sort of error notifications can marginally slow things, depending on the number of them and the frequency of them it is difficult to say how they might effect another app.
I doubt this one is effecting Messages directly.
It might and I stress might have some involvement with the Contacts App which Messages also looks at for the iMessages account and possibly for "Real Names"  in the Buddy list and Messages main window during chats and conversations.
    Lets try a different tack.
Navigate to ~/Library/Preferences again as in the earlier reply.
    Find com.apple.imagent.plist
    Drag this to the Trash.
It will need you to restart this App. However it starts up when the computer does.
This means you can stop it using Activity Monitor (Open the app in Applications/Utilities find the imagent item and use the Quit Button top left then confirm a Force Quit) Or Restart the computer.
This is a support app to Messages and FaceTime.
It holds some of the Account info so that the computer (those apps specifically) can "Listen" for incoming "calls" or Chat invites.
At this point they will start the apps up - without intervention from you -  if the apps settings allow it.
FaceTime just has to be set to On but not launched.
Messages has a setting in the General Section of the Preferences about being set to Off Line on Quit.

  • Extract all "business fax" phone numbers from all users contacts and public folders

    Hello,
I'm looking for any method to be able to extract "business fax" phone numbers from every user's contact list and public folders contacts.
Is this possible, perhaps with PowerShell?
We are using Exchange 2010, but this forum posting site only lets me choose Exchange 2013.   Is Exchange 2010 still supported?

I recevied a reply from the Script Center, telling me to post in the Exchange Developer forums.
From the Exchange Developer forums I received replies that basically told me I need to figure this out myself and they are not a free consulting service.   Here are the exact words....
    Reply:
You need to understand that either you have to try to learn Exchange and scripting or you need to search for solutions.
In most cases with EX2010 there are many utilities build into the EMS that can do almost anything you need however, you need to learn Exchange to be able to even know what to ask for,  This is not a free consulting forum.  It is a forum for
professionals who use scripting in their work or who are currently learning how to use scripts.
If you are basically versed in Exchange you wil know that the EX2010 home site has all of the resource links.  You should always start there.
You need to either get a good book on Exchange administration or sign up for a class in Exchange.  It is not possible to guess at how to manage an Exchange installation.  Exchange is one of the most complex system Microsoft has ever created.
It may even be more complex that MSSQLServer.  You must be trained at some minimum level to work effectively with Exchange.

  • Missing Contact Names - Only Numbers Showing - All Yahoo Contact Data Gone

The other day I did a sync and afterward in the phone tab, all my Favorites and Recents are displaying numbers and NOT the names of my contacts as they had always done before.
Further, if I click on the "Contacts" tab, there are only 10 contacts listed when before there were several hundred!
This was just a sync, no software update. I have tried several troubleshooting steps including:
    1. Checked my Yahoo account online to make sure all contact info still exists there, it does.
    2. Re-entered my Yahoo credentials in iTunes to make sure contact info was syncing. It accepted credentials as expected.
    3. I restored my iPhone using the latest backup (from a few days prior) with no luck.
    4. I restored my iPhone from a backup several months ago (July) and my contact names were back...but all my music, apps, photos, video, etc. was gone so I restored back to the most recent backup.
    5. I then imported all my Yahoo contacts into my Gmail account and then added my Gmail account to the phone in the hope that it would grab the contact names. Nope.
So now I'm stuck and looking for assistance from anyone who can offer my advice on what else I may try if anything. This seems to be a reoccurring issue with Yahoo contacts on the forums here as of late with different people experiencing slightly different behavior (like me having all numbers but missing names and other people having names but no numbers).
What's going Yahoo? What's going on Apple?
What's the fix, or at least a workaround???

    Update on the Gmail workaround:
Importing all my Yahoo contacts to Gmail and then choosing to sync Google/Gmail contacts in iTunes before syncing seemed to do the trick.
I think this is definitely a Yahoo contacts problem and not necessarily iPhone.
    Any thoughts?

  • I lost all my contact list after i deleted the me accout from my mail list. How can i recover the contact list ?

Hi, kindly let me know if i can recovered my contact list after i deleted "mobile Me (which has been expired) account form my I-phone list

The contacts should be available in a supported address book app for syncing contacts with a former MobileMe and now with an iCloud account. This has been in the works for a year and you should have received an email - several emails about MobileMe going away and how to make the switch to a freeiCloud account.

  • Iphone 4 automatically sending nuisance/ viral e-mail messages from my yahoo account to members of my phone/ e-mail/ facebook contact list. What can I do to stop this?

This has occurred on 2 different occassions. In both cases, I can not identify a viral email that I would have opened that could have started this as we are very cautious about opening unknown emails, and definately NEVER double click on links that come through in nuisance/ spam type e-mails.
This morning was the second time that it appears my iphone was somehow involved in automatically sending out a mass nuisance message to all my contacts (phone contacts/ facebook contacts/ yahoo contacts).  The email contained no message - except for a single link to an unknown destination of course since I refuse to dbl click on it to see what I have sent out to my friends.
This is the second time it has happened. I have posted on facebook to all my friends to not open the message. I have deleted ALL my contacts from both my phone and from yahoo contact list. I even deleted facebook and all it's info. from my phone to remove their contact lists. I don't want this to keep happening to my friends. The only thing I haven't deleted is my phone contacts (phone numbers) but I am assuming it may very well happen again since the automatic message was also sent to my phone contacts. (Not sure how that even happens - an auto email to a phone number?)
I have been reading on this site that it is nearly impossible to get a virus on your iphone - however, what other explanation is there? I don't have a PC - I don't have any Windows products in my home. We own 1 ipad and 2 iphones at the moment. I never access my yahoo account from anywhere but my MAC products.  What is happening and how can it be resolved?
    Thanx!

if it's a message coming from your yahoo account, it means that your account has been compromised, not your phone itself. i would suggest changing the password for your email account

  • New upgrade...lost ability to keep forwarding from contact list

    Hello,
I'm not too thrilled with a few things in the update. I have has my iPad since day 1 and love it. Since upgrading, when forwarding an email to multiple people in my contacts, each time I enter the contact, the + closes (as before), but reopens at the top of the contact list rather than at the last person I forwarded to. Any ideas on how to go back to the old way where when you hit the + you were taken back to the last contact you forwarded to?
Also, the key sensitivity on email is REALLY touchy. When adding contacts to forward to, I have hit the + key and evidently just a tad too much above center and sent an email before I intended to.
Finally, I have looked through all the new keyboards. I was hoping for one with arrow keys because I am an extremely poor typist. Does anyone know is there is such a thing?
Thanks to all of you for the wonderful answers and insights you so often provide.
    Sue

I failed to inform you in my previous reply that there is a button available that you can add to the navigation toolbar to open or close the sidebar. An illustration is below. Note that the Bookmark Sidebar button has no drop-down indicator. Both unfortunately display the same "tooltip" ("Display your bookmarks") when you mouse-over the button

  • Blackberry Z10 does not display all Facebook Contacts or PIctures

    Hello,
I am having an issue with my new Z10 where it isn't displaying all of my FB contacts or any display pictures for the contacts that are actually displayed.
I have tried wiping the phone and starting over (re-syncing accounts and info, etc) but nothing works.
Some contacts are displayed, but not all. And the ones that are displayed have no display pictures.
    Please help.

    Hey browneyedpetal,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
If you connect via Wi-Fi, do the contacts load up?  Also just to clarify are you looking at the contacts in the Facebook application or the synchronization with your current contacts on the BlackBerry Z10?
I look forward to your reply.
    Cheers.
