Lost centralized view..

The first time I used Messages I could see multiple recipients in the list, for whatever reason they've switched to small individual windows, and I can't see an option to switch back to regular view. Mine are stuck like this:
The only way I can switch conversations, is by going to File > Recent Items or Window > Select Next/Previous Conversation
It's really annoying when I have multiple conversations going on at once..
Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

It has to do with Folder customization - a Windows feature.  Windows Explorer will make different views available based on what type of folder the OS has judged it to be, and sometimes it gets this wrong.  And yes, the File - Open dialog from Photoshop is actually coming from Windows Explorer.
Try this:
Open a Windows Explorer window (or the Photoshop File - Open dialog).
Navigate to where you can see the folder that contains your images.
Right-click on the folder in question and choose Properties.
Click the Customize tab.
Choose Photo Album (best for fewer files) or Pictures (best for many files)
Now see if you can see your Filmstrip view.

  • Centralized View for all the Project Document in Solution Manager

    we assign roadmap to our Implementation project and as per roadmap we upload different documents for the project(e.g. business case, project charter) at different phases of roadmap. can we see all the documents related to a project from a single centralized view??

    Hi B_J,
    it is correct, each document has attributes, on the attribute tab in the button bar, there is an icon to generate an url for the selected document. This link is stored in your windows clipboard, so you can past this link in an e-mail or wordfile. The person who gets the e-mail must have access to the Solution Manager via network, he needs no personal user in the system. The link used a service of Solution Manager(check in the Solution Manager IMG at the HTTP services). This service requires a user to read the document. If you have no user, then it is necessary that in the system a default user is assigned to the service or to its alias. Now to your second use case, the approval, you can not bring any information INTO Solution Manager, you can only answer the e-mail, with the info, yes the document is OK, but you can not set a status or an other attribute at the document, that the document is approved.

  • In Forms Central/View Responses/Save as PDF, is it possible to exclude some form fields?

    in Forms Central/View Responses/Save as PDF, is it possible to exclude some form fields from the saved file?

    Hi,
    I would like to inform you that with forms central, you can convert the selected fields to PDF.
    However, your selection should be sequential. Example- You can convert column 1,2,3,4 and not select column 5; but it is not possible to select only column 2 and 3.

    Updated my iPad iOS last night and lost 'street view' on maps.  Is apple ignoring this deletion of streetview on maps and how can I have it restored?

    Streetview is the property of Google. The new application not using Google services anymore (for many reasons you can find around the web), Streetview is gone too. Just download the free streetview app from the appstore

  • Lost thumbnail view in iPhoto Library

    I've been working on a very large iMovie project which is not going so well and somehow I lost my thumbnail views next to the iPhoto Library Source. I have tried everything, and like when I click on "View" I cannot highlight "show thumbnails". I have researched topics and found one that talks about the Pictures Folder & what folders contain what, and nothing on how to get my thumbnails back. It is almost impossible to organize without them. Help please, I don't know what happened.
    Thank You,
    Marge

    Marge,
    In the view menu, "show thumbnails" is only an active option when you are in one of iPhoto's edit modes: it refers to the horizontal strip of thumbnails that can be shown (or hidden) across the top of the iPhoto window. When you are viewing your library or an album, it is normal for this option to be gray.
    That being said, what do you see in the iPhoto window? Are any of your photos visible? Do you have blank gray squares? Have you tried using the slider in the bottom right of the window to change the size of the thumbnails (if this is all the way to the right you will only see one photo at a time).
    Have you ever used the Finder to change anything in your iPhoto Library folder in any way? (This includes renaming and moving files or folders.) This causes big problems, so if you have, post back with some details and we'll try to help you repair the damage.
    If iPhoto is acting quirky you can delete its preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist. Find it inside Home/ Library/ Preferences. Then when you launch iPhoto your preferences will be reset to their defaults, so you may need to reset them back to your liking.
    One more thing to try is a database rebuild. Hold the Command and Option keys while launching iPhoto. Check the first 3 options and let it work. It can take a few minutes. This process allows iPhoto to recreate its database file, which can improve performance and stability if that file was causing problems.
    Post back with some of the above info, and we'll go from there.

  • A little lost here, view doesn't seem to want to show up

    Hi,
    First of all, let me say that i am not a iPhone or Mac developper although i'm a super good programmer that knows lots of languages (c/c++, java, c#, php, vb, vb.net, etc)
    I was tasked to add a screen to an iphone app that asks for user acceptance of terms and then store the acceptance into the phone. I'm not even at the storage part yet, i'm all lost in that objective C thing... What kind of programming language is that... lol
    Anyway, i tried my best and am able to open a view that was already existant in the system as the application starts. The same view, i duplicated it and renamed all its files, identifiers in the .h and .m file to a new name. I scoured the source code of the app to add the different variables or properties just as the previous view had been added to the app.
    Compile, works, view never shows up... maybe i messed up something, try the older view i tried at first, still works... strange.
    Here is a bit of code:
    - (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(UIApplication *)application {
    [window addSubView:agreementView.view];
    [window makeKeyAndVisible];
    This portion of code doesn't work, but if i change "agreementView" for "hmView" it works fine and shows the view called HmView. The app compiles completly and works in all cases, its just the agreementView that never shows up.
    Can you help me with this at all? Do i need to post anything else. Please keep in mind that i thought it would be super simple to do this and finaly, it's taken me 3h already to simply create a view and recompile the code.

    CDGI Developper wrote:
    this application is already multiview. I'm just trying to add a view in the code that shows an agreement ppl have to accept.
    Ok, understood. It's sounding more and more like a modal view would be the best solution.
    If i use the variable name of another view that was working, it loads up fine as the application starts.
    Although you mentioned creating another view, it seems likely you didn't actually do so, or that the variable you assigned to the new view doesn't actually point to that view. You haven't mentioned Interface Builder yet. IB is the resource editor for Xcode, and is usually where Cocoa developers start when creating a new view (though new views can certainly be created in code without using IB).
    Since you've been focusing on the root view so far (i.e., the view which is added directly to the window in applicationDidFinishLaunching), can we assume that you want the "agreement view" to be reached directly from the root view? Or, do you want agreementView to replace the current root view at start up? For example, do you want agreementView to be the gateway to the app, like a login screen, so that none of the app's functionality can be accessed until the agreement is accepted?
    Once we know exactly how the agreement fits into the view hierarchy, it might be easy to walk you through the steps needed to create it, display it, and dismiss it. Another question that might help clarify your requirements: Could you use an "alert view" instead of a new, full-screen view for your purpose? An instance of the UIAlertView class is used just like a Windows "MessageBox" to display a message and wait for the user to respond. So an alert view would be good for obtaining a "yes" or "no" answer from the user. Of course, if the agreement screen needs to present the text of an agreement, much like the contract presented during an app installation, I guess you'd need a new full-screen view.
    ... if i use the new view i have created (from a copy of the one that works) and i adapt all the identifiers in the different copied files, then the app still compiles, but the reference to the view variable doesn't seem to work.
    Here's an example of how to bring up a modal view that covers the root view at startup:
    - (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(UIApplication *)application {
    // add the root view to the window
    [window addSubview:viewController.view];
    // make a new view controller
    // (this also makes a default view for the new controller)
    UIViewController *myController = [[UIViewController alloc] init];
    myController.view.backgroundColor = [UIColor blueColor];
    // set the modal transition style of the new controller
    myController.modalTransitionStyle = UIModalTransitionStyleCoverVertical;
    // add a text view object to the new view
    UITextView *myTextView = [[UITextView alloc]
    initWithFrame:CGRectMake(36, 50, 248, 228)];
    myTextView.editable = NO;
    myTextView.showsVerticalScrollIndicator = YES;
    [myController.view addSubview:myTextView];
    [myTextView release];
    // add something legal to the text view
    NSString *legalText = [NSString string];
    for (int i = 0; i < 40; i++)
    legalText = [legalText
    stringByAppendingString:@"Whereas, henceforth and notwithstanding.
    myTextView.text = legalText;
    // add a button to the new view
    UIButton *myButton = [UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeRoundedRect];
    myButton.frame = CGRectMake(124, 320, 72, 37);
    [myButton setTitle:@"Agree" forState:UIControlStateNormal];
    [myController.view addSubview:myButton];
    // connect the action of the button to a method in this file
    [myButton addTarget:self action:@selector(dismissAgreement)
    forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
    // bring up the modal view as a child of the root view
    [viewController presentModalViewController:myController animated:NO];
    [myController release];
    [window makeKeyAndVisible];
    - (IBAction)dismissAgreement {
    [viewController dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES];
    To see how the example works, remove the current version of applicationDidFinishLaunching from the app delegate .m file, replace it with the two methods above, save the file and click Build and Go. The example is working, tested code which doesn't require any work in Interface Builder. Be sure to cut and paste directly from the forum to the source file. At this point you don't need to lose a day or two tracking down a syntax error.

  • Frames lost when viewing in full screen

    I am offering HTTP Dynamic Streaming ( HDS ). I am using Strobe Media Playback out of the box. 8 bit rates are used from 100Kbps - 2000Kbps at 25 fps.
    The problem I am facing is with older pc trying to view the video in fullscreen. cpu on the pc goes near to 100% and therefore frames get dropped and so SMP falls back to a lower bit rate until it reaches the lowest bitrate and stays there.
    I have tried to view the video on such a pc in full screen using only high bitrates. The video is "jumping" but it is a much better user experience than the one viewed at 100Kbps which is very blur.
    I don't want to use  lower frame rates or disable fullscreen.
    Is there any to configure SMP to fallback to a lower bitrate less aggresively, or a parameter stating that SMP should fall back to lower bitrate when the frames lost are x per second or something similar?
    Any other ideas?

    Anyone?

  • I seem to have lost "list view" for my iTunes library.  The option doen't even appear on the view drop down.  Any conncection to iCloud?

    I seem to have lost the ability to select list view for my iTunes library.  The choice for lst view doesn't even appear on the drop down when selectiogn "view".  Any ideas?  I recently enabled the cloud and subscribed to iTunes Match/  Any connection?  Thanks/

    See this thread for background on why iTunes can end up with duplicates and how they can be systematically removed. The script there is for Windows users and the "show duplicates" menus have moved around in iTunes 11,  but the advice on clearing recently made duplicates should still hold.
    As given in my older post "Reorganize library" is meant as a one time command to change the structure of a pre-iTunes 9 library into the newer layout that places music in its own subfolder of the media folder. Once used, if the option becomes available again that suggests that a file called .iTunes Preferences.plist in the media folder has been deleted or editied.

  • Lost a view

    I have my Mail setup so that all received emails are visible at the top of the screen and whatever email is highlighted is visable below the received emails. I know that this is an easy fix, but I cannot find it. Someone got on my computer and changed a setting and the only thing visible is the received emails and if I want to view a particular email, I have to double click it and it opens in a newe window. I've looked in Prefs and under "View" in the title bar, but cannot findhow to get my view back to the way it was.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks.

    You can make the preview pane visible again by either (1) dragging up from the bottom of the window the bar that separates the preview pane from the message list, or (2) double-clicking on that bar (it has a tiny hole in the middle).

  • Lost Thumbnail View of library suddenly!

    I was transferring a photo that was misdated as a 2005 photo and when I went to look for it in the 2005 folder, I hit "organize" which usually brings me back to my preferred thumbnail view of all my shots in chronilogical order. Well, they are still in chron order from new to old but only full view is available. I have checked all the options on the toolbar, looked in preferences to see if there was an option to "view thumbnails". NOTHING. Any help?

    Hi, Kristin. Your mistake was thinking it would be OK to move anything around inside your iPhoto Library folder. It isn't. Stay out of there at all times. Only iPhoto itself should ever arrange, rearrange, move, edit or rename anything inside that folder, as this quote from iPhoto Help indicates:
    "Don't tamper with files in the iPhoto Library folder
    If you move, delete, rename, or otherwise tamper with files or folders in the iPhoto Library folder, you may be unable to see your pictures in iPhoto."
    This is a real annoyance, and it flies in the face of a core principle that all long-time Mac users take for granted: that they're in charge of where things are filed on their computers. But it's a fact, and you ignore it at your peril.
    You may be able to regain access to your photo library by rebuilding it. To do so, hold down the Shift and Option keys while you open iPhoto, and click OK when you're asked if you want to rebuild the library.

  • Lost design view in all site pages - multiples sites

    Hi,
    I have read through the FAQ's about loss of design view in Dreamweaver but still haven't found a pre-answered post so was hoping for some help.
    I opened Dreamweaver CS3 this morning and could view pages in design view no problem in more than one page and project.  I then looked at a page in full code view, then back in design view and now I cannot view ANY project or site page in design view mode at all.  I can view the code in split and in code views and I can preview the pages in a browser.  But for none of my pages in different sites to be able to view I find odd.
    My style rendering is set to screen media and the display styles option is ticked.
    Thanks for any suggestions

    Go to 'view' checkbox 'noscript content'.  Refresh the page.

  • Just installed 10.4. and lost 'process viewer' -

    what, where, how do I use to see system processes? thanks

    On your hard drive, in applications/utilities, run activity monitor. In the window, you can choose 7 or 8 different views of processes running on your system. I typically use 'active processes'.

  • Cf# file, lost help viewer, & mouse tracking speed very fast...

    Yes really ! - I do believe it all happened at once.
    No recent system changes/updates/hacks - OS has latest updates - all worked splendidly...until:
    put the mac to sleep, back 1/2 hr later & changed mouse batteries - woke it up & mouse speed is superfast,help viewer wasn't working & files starting with cf# keep appearing momentarily in ~/library/preferences/ . the format seems to be cf#xxxxx - a different one each time
    maybe the file thing is nothing to do with it? - but would be interested in what it is.
    Help viewer fixed by trashing cache & plists - now fine
    Mouse speed can be slowed to a crawl using sys prefs-mouse & keyboard-tracking speed but just one step up from that; it's superfast again. The speed does increase even more if the slider is moved higher.
    So Question - finally! - is this lot related in any way?
    what's the cf#7zgE1 file about?
    what other files might compromise the mouse tracking speed ( I have no mouse-enhancing software )
    Thankyou

    re: cf#xxxx files, you wrote:"I'd love to, but they appear/disappear in an instant - took 7 attempts with grab to get a shot that included one. Nothing in console, no startup/login items at all."The information macjack provided in the link you cited isn't particularly relevant. All that document describes is the Mac OS X facilities for creating and managing preferences files, part of Core Foundation Framework. It doesn't explain the cf#xxxx files, it merely discusses preferences from a programmer's perspective.
    Since the appearance of these, and their mention on the Discussions, is a relatively new phenomenon, I'd be more inclined to suspect they are the side effect of some third-party application you may have installed recently, e.g. some bit of new shareware, a widget, etc. Such an app may be temporarily writing and removing those files, but the fact that they begin with "cf" may have been a developer's choice. The file names don't even correspond to the standard for preferences files. Just because they're in the Preferences folder does not make them preferences.
    I don't see them on my system. You'll have to monitor apps you launch, running widgets, third-party menu extras, etc. to see if the creation of the files begins after some such process is launched.
    If they show up, as you noted, with just Mail and Safari running (assuming you did not open Dashboard, which results in all widgets being launched), then they could be the result of either an Internet plug-in or a Mail plug-in you might have installed.
    Good luck!

  • Acrobat portfolio pdf wrapper lost when viewed in tablets (ipad,android)

    Hello,
    Is there a way to keep the acrobat portfolio pdf wrapper when you view it in a tablet?. I just can see the list of pdf´s but loose the nice wrapping.
    Thanks for your advice,
    Paloma

    The Portfolio navigators in a PDF are written in Flash, which does not work on the iPad, and which Adobe has recently stopped developing for Android. So we will not be able to add support for PDF Portfolio nagivators in the future. We may be able to make a nicer way to list the documents than we currently do, however.
