Lost Changes to Script

In this case this is not a huge deal, but obviously it could be and still it's frustrating.
I spent 2 or 3 hours reworking the opening of a sci-fi script - lots of the world to introduce - which part of the solar system - the dwarf planet where the story takes place - the mining base on the planet, etc.etc.etc. all with superimposed text labeling things. Was trying to get it to have flow and not be clunky bouncing back and forth from Action Description to Super's while being as succinct as possible (unlike this post). Not easy.
I'm a cloud subscriber, but was working in ONLINE mode on the desktop version of Story. When I went to save my work and exit the program before Pizza Hutt closed at midnight I -
Tried to "Save" from the pulldown menu. Nothing highlighted or blinked when I clicked save though.
Having auto versioning turned on I thought maybe the lack of feedback when I clicked save was due to the fact that Story had already saved this version.
I clicked Quit from the pulldown menu.
A window came up saying something like "the following have not been saved, do you want to save them?" In a sub-window within the feedback window was my script with a box and a checkmark in the box. Above the sub-window a the box next to "select all" was also checked. I left them checked and clicked -
"yes" to save
The program froze with a little yellow progress bar up. The progress bar was not moving and everything was dimmed out.
I quit all my other applications.
I went back to Story. Tried hitting Escape. Would not work.
I decided to restart my mac. My mac said Story cancelled restart. BUT -
When I did this it got Story unstuck somehow.
I clicked quit again. The same dialogue window came up again. I hit "yes" save again and it just froze again. I hit "Restart" for my mac. Story cancelled restart and unfroze.
Repeated.
Waited 10 minutes. Still frozen.
Force Quit. (The Mac force quit window was not showing Story as "unresponsive" at any point during this)
Restarted Mac.
Opened Story in my browser. Changes gone (and no they were not in the saved versions history)
Opened Story on my computer. Changes gone (and, again, no they were not in the saved versions history)
Said many swear words.
Got to Pizza Hut at 12:05 but they unlocked and gave me my pie.
So there's what happened, hopefully for possible benefit on your end.
Can you get my file back as I've seen in two other threads?
This would be a version from last night sometime between 11:15 and midnight.
Should I email my adobe ID to adbestry(at)adobe(dot)com now?
My adobe ID is the same as my username - jdanstan
Like I said - this time it was just a page, but it was 3 hours of tedious precise work that I'm loathe to start over. Would be nice to get it back if you can / reassuring for my collaborators and mysefl that we can trust Adobe Story with our work.

Hi,
While working in AIR app when you switch from offline to online, the data is synced from offline to online application and when both online and offline documents are modified from the base document a version is created for that document. Please open the document and go to 'view' -> 'history' and you will see some versions for your document. You can double click on any of the versions and see its content. You should be able to find your content there.

How to change the script event?!?

Here I have a small form with two different parts...
The first part is a table containing many checkboxes to be able to show whatever form you want to fill up..
All of the checkboxes create a form into a table which each row represents the form to fill-up.
When you click 1 checkbox, it adds a row to the table with some values needed for the form..
In that form there is a chance to have 2 or 3 radiobuttons, depending on the checkedbox which each do something different..
the 1st one hides a new table to fill up information (under the radiobuttons),
the 2nd one shows up the new table with some values to show instructions into labels...
the 3rd one shows up the new table with some other values to show different instructions into labels.. (This radiobutton is only in half of the forms, so it is hidden)
those labels must be different for each checkbox chosen
instead of making a huge script in my radiobutton change event, and writing all the different possibilites
i'd rather create the script depending on the checkedbox the user have chosen...
Right now I'm using something like : this.resolveNode("...radiobuttonList").event__change.script.value = "--_ Write all the new code here_--";
After this line is written and everything is working... I show up a messageBox to see the result which is all correct..
But when I'm clicking on the radiobuttons nothing is working at all...
the only code working is the initial code written in the event
Anyone have an idea if I'm missing something?!?

Actually this is not what i was looking for, I really need to change the script...
e.g. I have a button in a expandable table and i want each buttons to have a different messagebox....
when the button is created a new script is assigned to the event_click...
This is what im looking for...
Looks like LiveCycle Designer is not able to change the scripts events even though the property is there and is a "get" & "set"
so I should be able to change script event.... but I think i need to reload/recreate the form by using the modified code...

PAGE SETUP LOST/CHANGED ON DUPLICATION

Using Pages '09 (v4.3) to produce a custom envelope for printing, discovered a problem of Page Setup info being lost/changed when you Duplicate a file or when trying to print from a template produced from that file.
I set up the file using Merge Fields for the recipients, working from a Master and using the File>Duplicate command to make a copy of the file for examining the output. Everything looked good in the Print Dialogue displays, and also when checking by, for example, Saving PDF to Preview. On running an actual test print, however, it came out a total mess; text on the envelope in the wrong place and the wrong orientation, totally unuseable.
On examination I found that the Master's Page Setup info had been changed in the duplication:
"Format for ....." changed from <My printer> to "Any Printer"
"Paper Size" changed from <My custom size & name> to "Other", although dimensions were retained
"Orientation" changed from Vertical/Portrait to Horizontal/Landscape
This happened each and every time I duplicated the file,and I learned to simply go in and change the Page Setup info before printing. Once happy with the design, I saved the last good Master off as a Template so I could call it up from My Templates for future use. Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that the same thing happens from there. Drag the vcards into the displayed file, set up the Mail Merge, and go to Print and all will look well but, once again, actual printouts will be messed up and, on examination, for the exact same reasons.
Page Setup is being messed up in a way that isn't visible on any of the visual displays before actually printing; there, all looks as you think it should and it appears that the printing should go well. The info actually being sent to the printer, however, is incorrect. So, there seem to be two errors here, both linked:
The Page Setup info is not being reflected in the images or icons showing what the printed output will look like, and
The output produced at the printer is not what is shown before you print.
I'm far from a Pages expert so I can't help but wonder: Is there some essential step I've been missing here? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Slight correction to the above: The corruption/change of the Page Setup information occurs as the template is selected, i.e, the new "Untitled.." window opens. If you go ahead and change the info back to what it should have been, what it was saved as when the template was created, then all works normally.
Same is true of the duplication: The setup info changes as soon as you dupe the file. The original will still have the correct info, but the copy now shows the same stale default values (terms used might not be appropriate).

I have a customer who has had unauthourised modifications made to some scripts which have caused operational difficulties and we need to find out how made these changes pronto.

yes, there's a database table named Config_Message_Log. It contains all the information that might be useful in such cases: the date and time, the user's login name and what information (more precisely: which database table) has been changed. It must be noted, however, that the "what has been changed" is not stored in a human readable form, you need to extract it using the Log viewer functionality of icmdba tool (which is a friendly GUI alternative/wrapper to the dumpcfg command line tool).
Issue the icmdba command on the command line of your AW machine. Expand Servers > [the server where a Logger resides]. Click [instancename]_sideA (or [instancename]_sideB). From the menu bar, select View > Log. A new window appears. Set the from and to dates to a desired value, then click View. It might take some time while a new window appears, containing the list of changes.

This means on 1st November 2011 at 7:49 somebody with the IPCC\administrator login on the AWSA machine removed three agents (with SkillTargetID 5138, 5385 and 5066) from the Agent Team with AgentTeamID 5000.
Script changes are not so easy to explain, however, since each save generates a new version of a script, you'll see a new record in the t_Script table. Feel free to post the output here, I might be able to help you or at least show you the right direction.
It must be noted, however, that the Config_Message_Log table can be truncated (erased) with the icmdba tool too. So if the customer knows this, they might just perform an unauthorized change and then destroy all traces, unfortunately.

P.S.: you can also use the dumpcfg tool from the command line, it's faster - just make sure you read the instructions (do dumpcfg /?) and redirect the output to a text file.

Before I upgraded my system from Mac OS 10.4.11 to Mac OS 10.6.8 - I a had personalized the script for a voice iChat Alert when my husband logged off from work. I had the ichat voice warn me "OH, Crap! he's coming home now! Hurry clean house!" This personalized voice alert did not survive the upgrade. Now, I need step by step instructions to walk me through the process. Please help! I mis my machine shouting funny profane alerts.

In iChat 3 (OS 10.4.x) there was Line at the Bottom of iChat > Preferences > Alerts that you could enter text to and it would speak that Text.
(you could set something against Individual Buddies as well).
This Setting is not there in iChat 4 or 5 (I presume iChat 6 as well).
Now it is possible to write AppleScripts that can Speak.
It is alos possible in iChat 4 upwards to link an AppleScript to an Action/Alert
At this point my lack of AppleScript knowledge lets me down on what to tell you to do next.
An Alternative would be to Record a sound with said alert.
Place this sound in your Home Folder/Library/Sounds
Then in the Alert opton for youe husband select the Log off option and link that Sound

Lost bash startup script

I am afraid I have a stupid question to post here...
I have lost a startup script that is invoked everytime I run my bash shell. This script starts a licence manager I no longer require or have, so everytime I run terminal an error message occurs. I could ignore this, as I get normal operation of the shell of course, however it is really annoying so I need to track down this file. I have tried using the grep command to recursively search through my harddrive for the appropriate invoking string. However to no avail.
When I login as another user then the script doesn't run, leading me to believe it is in my own home directory. However the usual ~/.bash_profile or ~/.bashrc are not present in my home directory.
Any tips would be appreciated.

Open the Terminal app then type the following:
grep ExecutionString ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Terminal.plist
If grep returns <key>ExecutionString</key> then the script is run by the Terminal's preference- com.apple.Terminal.plist. You can edit the preference removing the key and string value or trash your com.apple.Terminal.plist.

To copy the standard script into customized, Please follow following steps:
Go to SE 71 transaction.
Click on Utilities -> Copy From Client.
Enter Standard form name you want to copy and client number (May be 100).
Enter z form name.
Execute or press F 8.
Your form will be copied.
Now go back and enter the z form name that you have entered in previous screen
Click on change.
Now you will be able to change the script.

On my Office 365 Sharepoint Developer site, I have a custom edit form page (editform2.aspx) created for a list and have added a script reference in the additionalpagehead like this

Whenever I edit the file at /JavaScripts/angular/angular-formly-master/dist/formly.js using VS2013 and save it SharePoint replaces my script tag with this:

I thought maybe it had something to do with versioning on my Javascripts library , but versioning is not even enabled there.
What's with that? How can I prevent it?

Font on highlighted link changes to script text in Google.

When I go to only one sight that I know of (Google) . The Font on the highlighted word/link changes to script text and the little "more" on the right side is also in script style.
The user said " i didn't do anything"! I can't find where one would change the way highlighted links display. Any Ideas greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know where I can find a listing of possible exit values for Change Management scripts. I have a change management "Change Plan" script to copy objects from one instance into another. The script gets created with no ERRORS. However when I try to run it, it simply stops with the following in the Execution Log.

How can I add a new vaiable to the file loaded by Property Loader without changing my script

I have an input file to my script that I load via Property Loader. The number of parameters in the input file may change from test to test.. Is it possible in some way to add a new parameter without changing the sequence file?
Is there for example a way to make the Property loader read parameters until end of file, and put the parameter into a temporary variable in my script?
Hope there is a way to resolve this.

Claus,
The solution you have is a valid one.
Basically you have a variable (global or local) and you import the expected parameter to this variable before you pass it to the hardware.
You use that variable as the input parameter you pass to your hardware of course.
You have to modify your source file depending on the test type you want to execute every time you want to change the test type though.
Another solution would be to use Data Markers in your file to separate the variable values corresponding to each test type.
Check the example I am attaching.
At the beginning I prompt the user for the Test Type (Type I or Type II).
Based on the type, I import the corresponding variables from the source file using Data Markers.

Error while changing a script / UCCX 8.5

Hi,
While trying to change scripts last night I got the following error DBMgr:delete:failed: file name java.sql.SQL.Exception: Could not position within a table (informix.scriptsfiletbl)
I have never encounterd this error. This morning it seemed to have work fine. Anyone know what that error means?

Hope you already tried: ls -l /export/home/tools/solaris/env/mainsoft/../mwver/mwversion.ini If ls returns the file name, try running the script under truss to find some clues.
% truss -f -vall -rall -wall -o /tmp/mwpatch.log sh vmw502_sunos5_HF*
