Lost CME GUI

Was working, now is not. I get auth prompt and can login, then window goes blank. I'm running CME 4.0(1), CUE 2.3, Using IE 6. Tried several workstations. I've re-installed the CME-Basic and CME-GUI files, still same thing. CUE GUI works ok, but links to CME within CUE GUI fails. IOS - c2800nm-adventerprisek9-mz.124-4.XC2

Thanks for the response, I'm working with TAC on this one. Apparently certain characters in the name or lable fields is what's causing it, such as * ( ) '. I've removed those characters and the CME Extensions works within the CUE GUI, but the CME GUI itself still does not work.

  • Downgrade cme gui

if i uploaded cme-gui-4.1.0.2 on my 2801 and decided to load cme-basic-3.4.0.0, do i still require to load a 3.4.0.0 gui?
if it realy requires, can i upload the new gui without deleting the previous gui's?
    thanks

Example for 4.1. But as I said before, you copy the other files in a different directory, no need to delete anything, and easier to switch back.

  • 8.6 CME gui not working on Internet explorer but displays on other browsers

The strangest thing is happening I cannot access the CME 8.6 GUI on internet explorer but it works on firefox and chrome.  It just suddenly started to happen no changes were made.  When I open the gui on internet explorer after I sign in it just says View Window but never gets passed that.  I have a test router with the same version and files and it works on internet explorer.  I compared the files on both routers and both have the same files.  I'm stumped any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there anything in version 15.1 that can cause the issue I'm having? I have ip http server and no ip http secure-server in my config is there anything with that I have to add?  I just downgraded back to 12.4 and it works after a hard reset.  I want to attribute the problem to version advip 15.1.  I have the gui files from 15.1 loaded on flash.

  • CME with Unity Express GUI Java problem

Running IOS 12.4(22)T with CME 7.0(1) and CUE 7.1.5 on a 2821 ISR.
The GUI had been working fine after the initial system install (used it provision phones). Got back into the system to add another phone and when clicking on either Configure->Extensions, Configure->Users or Configure->System Parameters we get the following text in the browser (IE, Firefox doesn't matter):
    var maxButtonMode = 10 var ringTypeName=new Array(maxButtonMode) ringTypeName[0]= "Normal Ring" ringTypeName[1]= "Silent" ringTypeName[2]= "Silent w/CW Beep" ringTypeName[3]= "Feature Ring" ringTypeName[4]= "Monitor" ringTypeName[5]= "Overlay" //ringTypeName[6]= "Expand" //ringTypeName[7]= "Overlay w/CW" //ringTypeName[8]= "Speed Dial" ringTypeName[9]= "Watch" document.write("<" + "SCRIPT LANGUAGE='JavaScript' SRC='admin_user.js'><" + "/SCRIPT>");
The other pages load up fine. Same behaviour from Windows 7 32-bit or inside a Windows XP SP3 VM environment. Two different versions of Java running: 1.6.0_17 and 1.6.0_20.
Thanks for your help, ideas or suggestions.
    Jason

Ended up taking these steps to fix the gui issue:
    Reloaded the integrated CUE module service module no effect;
    Reloaded the router - no effect;
Upgraded to IOS 12.4(24)T3 and extracted cme-gui-124-24T.tar to flash (had been using files from cme-gui-7.1.0.0.tar).
    Working fine now.

  • CME Version Different to the GUI

    Hi
Currently I have a CME Router that is running the following -
    IOS - 12.4(4)XC4
    CME - 4.0(3)
    GUI - 4.0.0.0
Looking at the Cisco website the GUI version is incorrect as I need to upgrade to 4.0.3.0. But I can't find how to just upgrade the GUI.
Is it possible to just upgrade the GUI or will I need to re-install the CME version?
    Can anyone assist?
    Thanks
    Nicola

    Hi!
    Login to
    http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/ip-iostsp
And look for the following file:
    cme-gui-4.0.3.1.tar
CME 4.0(3) GUI files for IOS 12.4(4)XC4 with updated GUI
Download this to your TFTP root directory.
Then, go into your router and copy them to the flash with a copy tftp flash command and give the correct values:
Address or name of remote host []?
    Source filename []? cme-gui-4.0.3.1.tar
    Destination filename cme-gui-4.0.3.1.tar
    If this helps, please rate!

    Tere.

  • Really Need Some Help with CME 8.6 using IOS as Firewall and Anyconnect VPN on Phones

    Hello,
I have a 2911 Router with IOS Security and Voice enabled and we are using CME 8.6.  I am using a built-in Anyconnect VPN on 3 phones that are for remote users and thus I needed to enable security zones on the router which works because the remote phones will boot up, get their phone configs and I am able to call those remote phones from an outside line.
The issue I am having is that when I try to dial a remote phone connected via the VPN through port g0/0 from and internal office phone, i.e., NOT involving the PSTN then there is no audio.  It's as if no audio is going back and forth.  When I take off the security zones from the virtual-template interface and the g0/0 interface then the audio works great and I can reach the phone from internal as I am supposed to.
Could someone take a peek at my security config and see why audio would not be traveling through the VPN when I have my security zones turned on?

I think your ACL could be the culprit.
    ip access-list extended router-access
permit tcp any host 66.111.111.111 eq 443
Would you be able to change the entry to permit ip any any (just for testing purpose) and then test to see if the calls function properly.  If they work fine then we know that we need to open som ports there.

  • CME and user services

Can someone please tell me if CME allows users to configure their own speed dials and services using a url like on the CCM? If possible, can you please let me know what I would have to configure to allow this functionality? Thank you.

    Hi Rose,
    My understanding is that the "Personal" Speed dials can only be changed via the User's IP Phone except for User's who are running Extension Mobility (who can use the GUI interface). There is some excellent info in the last doc attached below;
To use a phone user account in the Cisco Unified CME GUI to configure speed dials on a phone that is enabled for Extension Mobility, Cisco Unified CME GUI 4.2.1 or a later version must be installed on the Cisco router.
    Cisco Unified CME GUI Support
The Cisco Unified CME GUI provides a web-based interface to manage most system-level and phone-based features. In particular, the GUI facilitates the routine additions and changes associated with employee turnover, allowing these changes to be performed by nontechnical staff. The GUI provides three levels of access to support the following user classes:
•System administrator-Able to configure all system-level and phone-based features. This person is familiar with Cisco IOS software and VoIP network configuration.
•Customer administrator-Able to perform routine phone additions and changes without having access to system-level features. This person does not have to be familiar with Cisco IOS software.
•Phone user-Able to program a small set of features on his or her own phone and search the Cisco Unified CME directory. In Cisco Unified CME GUI 4.2.1 and later versions, phone users can use the GUI to set up personal speed dials for an Extension Mobility phone. The same credential for logging into an Extension Mobility phone can be used to log into the Cisco Unified CME GUI.
The user name parameter of any authentication credential must be unique. Do not use the same value for a user name when you configure any two or more authentication credentials in Cisco Unified CME, such as the username for any Cisco United CME GUI account and the user name in a logout or user profile for Extension Mobility.
The Cisco Unified CME GUI uses HTTP to transfer information from the router to the PC of an administrator or phone user. The router must be configured as an HTTP server, and an initial system administrator username and password must be defined from the router command-line interface (CLI). Additional accounts for customer administrators and phone users can be added from the Cisco Unified CME router using Cisco IOS software commands or from a PC using GUI screens.

  • CME 4.0 to 4.2

    Hi All
Currently  i am using CME 4.0 on my 2821 ISR Router with IOS 12.4(9)T7.
I want to change the CME version to 4.2.
    What i need to do??
Kindly need your help in this.
    Thanks

You will need to upgrade your IOS to below:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/requirements/guide/33matrix.html
    12.4(11)XW9
    4.2
    4.2.0.4
    Cisco Unified CME 4.2 Specifications
Also review my recent post here: https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12435376/ios-upgrade-and-cme
IOS upgrade would upgrade your CME, if you need to you can upgrade phone loads and CME GUI according to the instructions in above link. Also confirm CUE complatability, that your CUE version is compatible with CME 4.2.
