Lost connection to Previously published Flickr Pics

I recently upgraded to a new mac from a macBook. My LR library was on an external HDD so I thought there would be few if any problems copying it to my new bigger HDD and reinstalling LR. I was right to an extent but my new install of LR on the desktop couldn't connect to my Flickr account using the supplied plugin. I de and reauthorised access and was prompted to update the 167 photos it found but it didn't actually do anything and I kept getting the update message. Though LR had inherited info about the Flickr account it couldn't log in (I guess the actual log-in details were stored securely in the actual original install and there seemed to be no way to add log in details. The "change account" button was greyed out). I tried adding a new photo to the account and this seemed to work (it finally logged in) but to my dismay it had lost the links to the existing photos. Current situation is I have 15 or so photos linked to my flickr account that I can update etc. from my current LR install and my flickr account has an additonal 167 or so that came from the old install. The images still exist in exactly the same state in my library but they are no longer linked to the ones on my flickr account.
Is there any way I can relink the flickr photos to the originals in my LR library so i can update them, watermark them etc.?

Import the music and photos from the memory card with your computer and place the music in your iTunes library.
Place the photos in a folder to be designated for transfer to your iPhone.
Select Sync Music under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes to transfer this music and any other music in your iTunes library and select Sync Photos under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes selecting the folder where these photos are located followed by a sync.

Catalog pics & real pics lost connection PS7

I changed the place of my catalog and the place of the stored fotos.
Now I have to connect the pics from the catalog with the real pictures again.
There is a nice function wich connect automatically the small catalog pics with the real pic.
My question, is it possible to give this automatic function a start folder? Where is the option?

The easiest way to reconnect things is to move your photos back to where they were before.

In the future, never move photos using Windows. Only move photos using PSE commands or PSE's Folder Location View.

Hi,
There can be many reasons why the Login is "up the creek".
Any break in the network at your end whilst logged in will cause an issue.
A sort of discrepancy between what iChat thinks the state should be and what the server thinks.
If they don't agree the server will refuse to accept.
A Crash at the server end which does not log you out properly will also do it.
Any file at any time can be come corrupted.
Luckily with the iChat .plists they are recreated if removed with an iChat Restart.
If it were AIM you can also get your Account Suspended and this will not log you in.
(It tends to happen from Chat rooms where people notify AIM about bad behaviour (as they see it) and you have to apply to get Un-suspended).
Most of the big IM services use multiple servers.
Sometimes these go out of Sync.
In the case of AIM this happens when they remove Old unused Screen Names from people's Buddy List prior to making them available for re-registration. I am not sure if this happens at Google.
You seem to be talking about an account that has worked at Work and having new computer at home.
As I mentioned the Priority thing you have not said that it has coincided with the new computer logging in (this will kick the work Computer out of Google whether you are logged in on the Web Mail page or in iChat)
IN addition to that iChat stays partially logged in for Off Line IMs
This is done in the background by a support app called iChatAgent
If your Computer is ON but ichat is not started people can still send you Messages.
Instead of saving these on the server until you login iChat will start up.
Depending if the home Mac is effecting the Work Login it may be holding sway over your Login.
Using your girlfriend's login may have booted her Off Line where she normally uses the name/login.
The AIM Side can be specifically set to allow Multiple Logins and therefore NOT allow them. If this happens you get a warning and messages to do something about it.
You do not get these in any Jabber or Google Login as the Priority setting is supposed to take care of it.
If the Login works at the Web Mail Login and on one computer then the .plist on the work computer is the most likely issue.
There is a small chance that a Corrupt Buddy Pic (Home Folder/Library/Caches/com.apple.iChat/Pictures) may be the cause.
Set this folder to icon view and also use the Finder's View Menu > Show View Options and select icon view.
This should show all pics as their icon.
Check that all display properly.
At this point I would try a COMBO version update install of the last Update you did over what you have.
This often corrects hard to trace things

5 months has passed and many hours on the phone to Nokia. The phone has been completely reset /reboot by Nokia time and time again and still the phone gets this message when trying to update software..."Nokia Ovi Suite has lost connection with your device"....We were optimistic that the software upgrade would solve the other problems we are having with all the Nokia phones at work. Having the same issue currently with an E72 software version is 054.005.266.02 and Ovi Suite 3.1.1.80
Actually I had connection lost all the time with all previous versions of Ovi Suite too... it has never been reliable.
Using original Nokia USB cable, connected securely. Tried different PCs, different USB ports, same issue.
Just now I'm trying software update and it looses connection during the backup process all the time... very disappointing. Screenshot attached if anybody is interested.

E5: Ovi Suite has lost connection with your device...

I am trying to update the software on my E5 using OVI suite but I keep getting an error during the install phase (after backup). The following error and instructions are displayed in the OVI suite window but makes no difference when I follow these instructions (just end up back with the same error).
"Nokia Ovi Suite has lost connection with your device. Follow these steps to help reconnect your device:
1. Remove USB cable from your device.
2. Restart the device (turn off and on again).
3. Re-insert the USB cable.
4. Click 'Ok' below to continue updating."
Current E5 software version is 042.007.
I am trying to update to E5 software v. 043.115

Yep having the same issue. Just got a replacement handset due to the random restarting issue, soon after setting up the new handset I get a message on phone saying software update is available. Both OVI suite and Nokia software updater say version 43.115 is available (about 200mb in size), I currently have the same version as you 42.007. It claims to do a lot of improvements to the handset. The update downloads fine but when it comes to installing I keep getting the same issue. Phone simply will not restart automatically and the update restarts then fails at the same point over and over. Had the same problem with my previous handset.
I spoke with my network provider to see if it was an issue with the handset needing firmware specific to them but they said no it is an issue with the firmware itself and has been happening to everyone since its release!!! They said I should not download it until Nokia has resolved the issues with it. But how do I know when that will happen as I cannot find anything put out by Nokia stating there is an issue or anywhere on web forums saying there is actually a problem.

"iChat Update" (2.1)
Went to repair disk permissions
I get this error:
Disk Utitlity has "Lost Connection" with Disk Management tool" Please quit Disk Utility.
then it says quitting Disk Utility may render the disk useless. Stopping the scan just gives a "stopped by User" red text message in the DU screen.
Had to Quit. No other way out.
Now it will not repair "or" verify Disk permissions at all.
What to do?

Getting the same results booting off of the install CD. I even ran fsck -y after a soft boot(command S). Note I also installed the iPod updater and iChat update.

I recently put on a PowerPoint presentation at DU, in Denver Colorado; signed on as DU guest to access Internet link. SInce then I haven't been able to get e-mail on my Iphone - Cannot Get Mail, Server Stopped Responding. I tried all previous suggestions, such as rebooting phone, updating software etc. I went to MacBook Pro and tried logging on to yahoo e-mail. Apparently there was a security risk to my e-mail account so Yahoo locked up my account. I reset my password, it was verified through text message, and Voila it worked. Don't forget you also have to change this on your Iphone: go into settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; click on your e-mail browser, then account and enter your new password, click done and it will verify on you phone as well. What can I do simply to keep all my previous contents, (own pics, videos, etc.) on my previously authorized iPad on PC, but get a new authorisation and a right syncronization, without data loss with a new iTunes on my new Mac?

I already had an iPad(1) and its full contents (not only the purchased items, applications from Apple, but my all own pics, videos, songs etc.) is normally syncronized with an authorized PC (Windows) computer.
Now, I've bought a new MacBook Air computer, and want to sell my PC. But I don't know how to transfer (or syncronize) all of the contents from my previous iTunes on PC to the new one on the Mac.
When I connected my iPad to my new MacBook Air, I promted, if I want to change authorization of my iPad to the MacBook.
But also got a warning, that the new iTunes will delete from my iPad all my previously syncronized items, pics, videos and music, with the previously authorized iTunes on the previous computer, expect the saved pics from the net.
What can I do just like that, simply to keep all my previous contents on my iPad, but have a new authorisation and a right syncronization, without data loss with the new iTunes on my new Mac?

Here are some instructions that I have posted several times that may be helpful to you as they have been to others. You can simply ignore anything that does not apply or that you have already done.
As Alan stated above - transferring the iTunes library is the best first step. If you can transfer the iTunes library to the Mac, most of this will be unecessary for you to do.
Very Important ....
1. Authorize the computer.
2. Turn off auto sync in iTunes
3. Transfer purchases

1) Without connecting your iPad to your new computer, start iTunes. Click on iTunes. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
2) Now connect your iPad to your computer and start iTunes.
3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your computer, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
5) After it finishes backing up your iPad, right click on your iPad and select Restore etc.
6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on iTunes / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources.
Read this thread and the support links as well. There are apps that you can purchase that will allow you to transfer photos from the iPad to your computer. Look at Photo Transfer App in the App store and you can search for others as well.

One final note - you may want to leave auto sync turned off - but that is totally up to you. I never did use auto sync.

Suddenly lost connection to my wifi and my phone can't find it again?

I was just using my iphone 4s normally and it suddenly lost connection to my home's wifi. I have been trying for hours, reset the wifi modem and turned it on and off, put my phone through recovery mode- the whole lot. Please help!!!

It sounds like you are unable to either connect to, or see your home Wi-Fi network. I would first, update your router, then reset your network settings. Assuming you restored from a backup, my thought is that the backed up network settings may need to be refreshed:
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including:
previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords
recently used Bluetooth accessories
VPN and APN settings

Lost Connection to C&C Generals Zero Hour Online using the WRT54G v5 Wireless Network

I have this problem playing Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour online. I'm using the WRT54G v5 Wireless Network & when I'm in the game lobby, it kicks me off saying, "Lost connection to C&C Generals Zero Hour Online". This happens quite often variing on me entering & exiting rooms or other players entering & exiting rooms that I'm in. But it doesn't occur when I'm accually play a game with someone. It also does not happen at all when I'm connected directly to the internet connection so I know the network is causing it.
I've never had any problem with this game on any other wireless network types before. I've tried port forwarding with a static IP address, disabling firewalls, upgrading firmware, etc... No good. I've done some google research & found that varios other people on other forum sites have the same problem, it also occurs on another computer of mine.
Is there some kind of feature on this network that isn't on any others? One wireless network specificly that I've found that the game works on is the WRT54GS.
Any replies will be greatly appriecitated.

Maybe I would if I hadn't stopped playing the game 3.5 years ago. You may want to check the date on those previous message. But here's what I remember:
Turns out nothing worked the fix the problem. Not turning of a firewall, not port forwarding, not updating fireware, nothing. There must be a jitter on the routher that triggers the game into thinking it gets disconnected.
Many other users on the forums posted the same problem with this one router too & no one ever figured out a solution. Eventually that router broke & my family bought the WRT54GS2, which worked perfectly.

Connect a blank powered external drive to the PC.
Right click on the Disk in the File manager and choose format: exFAT
(if it's a XP machine, first install exFAT from Microsoft and reboot)
navigate to your user account folders on the PC and drag and drop copy (or copy and paste) to the external drive.
(if a program has your files, then export them out first)
Hook up the drive to the Mac, and transfer files to the desktop or to their same appropritate folders.
Import photo's into iPhoto program, import music into iTunes etc and they will manage those files.
You can continue to use the external exFAT drive between Mac's and PC's
Do not format the drive NTFS or FAT, NTFS can't be written too by the Mac and FAT can't hold over 4GB sized files.
If you format exFAT on the Mac, it likely won't work correctly on the PC.
"Migration" type programs are a utter waste of time and effort between PC's and Mac's for the fact that only certain files (and no programs or anything else) will work between them, also it's a hassle and takes too long. So don't even bother with it.

Lost connection in Adobe Flash Player Installer

Everytime I try and install flash player, the Adobe Fash Player Installer runs fine until i get to the "downloading" part. It always gets stuck at 7% on this step and then says "lost connection. trying to reconnect", then it says "connection failed. Unable to complete Install". I have tried power cycling the device, using multiple browsers, uninstalling flash and downloading the newest version installer, nothing in trouble shooting has helped. Screenshots below. Please help!

I was experiencing this issue with watching videos using the flash player on my MAc. When i was trying to install the update i ran into another issue which i explained to you in the previous email. you were able to resolve that issue and i have updated flash player. After updating flash player, i am still having the issue. you can see that i have replicated the issue in two different browsers in the screenshots below. Do you have any suggestions on how to watch videos using the flash player??

SGE2010: stack member reboots with 'Lost connection with unit x reason 0x20097'

Hi All,
Over the last 2 months we've had repeated issues with SGE2010 units in a stacking configuration rebooting randomly.
Prior to a member reboot occuring we see the following logging message via SNMP Trap on on the unit's internal logging via the GUI:
'Lost connection with unit x reason 0x20097'
We've made attempts at consulting Linksys/Cisco support regarding this 'feature' but aren't really getting anywhere with 1st level support who don't seem to understand much about supporting the device.
The layout is thus:
* 3 x SGE2010 units all of the same firmware version (3.0.1.0)
* Stack configured in a ring topology
* Cat6 cabling used on the stacking ports
* 7 VLAN's
* Mixture of trunking + VLAN tagging & standard ports configured
We've tried the following:
* Swapping out the member that reboots with another, but we get the same behaviour even with a new unit after about three weeks of running
* Changing the cabling between the members, same behaviour
* Upgrading the firmware from a previous version to the current 3.0.1.0
I'm not really keen on factory resetting the whole show & reconfiguring 144 ports by hand (the downtime will cost my users dearly, not to mention carpal tunnel from overuse of the web GUI)
Is anyone able to clarify what a reason code of 0x20097 is?
At least understanding what the error is may allow us to better understand the condition in which the switch decides it must reboot.

The small Business support center (SBSC) is the place to get this problem resolved. If the technician needs to get the error code looked at by a Product Engineer, then they have to escalate your call into the bowels of Cisco development.
Please call into the SBSC again, and try to reopen or open a new case. This call has to be resolved or escalated.
You have the ability to say to the technician ,
1. "I want this call escalated" or
2. " I want to speak to the Manager On Duty to esclatate the call"
If you have any issues, please let me know.

Evolution: lost connection to Evolution Exchange backend process

I use Evolution to fetch my email from the company exchange servers, which worked fine until tuesday. I updated a few packages (most notably was a new version of jre) and when I started Evolution, I got the error

I've been troubleshooting this problem, but no luck so far. Even Installing my previous version of jre did not work (I upgraded from 6u3-2 to 6u5-1 on tuesday).
Does anyone know how to either solve this problem or how I could troubleshoot my way towards a possible solution?
