Lost connection to printer and can't reinstall driver
My LaserJet Pro 400 color M451dw was printing fine and suddenly claimed it wasn't connected. Tried numerous things including purchasing a new USB cord, installing the driver and connecting on a laptop computer (which worked fine), and uninstalling the printer and reinstalling which is where I currently am stuck as the install fails every time. I've tried to install the HP LaserJet Pro 300/400 color M351/M451 Series PCL6 Print Driver the HP LaserJet Pro 300/400 color M351/M451 Series Software and Drivers and HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PostScript (64-bit). None have been successful.
I am on a PC Windows 7 (64-bit)
The M451 driver install message says: "Error...An install operation took too long to execute. This is a fatal error preventing product use. Please retart your computer and run this installer again. (Which I've done to no avail)
I've tried disabling antivirus software, rebooting numerous times, and I'm getting nowhere.
Suggestions?
Are you connecting to your own home wireless network? If so, are you able to connect any other devices to it?

The HP PhotoSmart 5514 is on Apple's list of AirPrint printers, so it should work. <iOS: AirPrint 101>
One problem might be that your WiFi router does not correctly handle Bonjour data required by AirPrint. Contact the router's manufacturer to see if there is a change to its setup or a firmware update that will solve the problem.
I had a printing problem several months ago, where the WiFi had jumped to a neighbor's WiFi that happened to have the same name. There are a LOT of WiFi routers out there named "Linksys"!

Lost serial number for microsoft office and can't reinstall on new hard drive
I recentlyt had to replace the hard drive on MacBook Pro and can't reinstall Microsoft Office because I don't have the required serial #. I think it was originally installed when I bought the computeer at an Apple store. Any ideas about how to solve this problem?
Try contacting MS and see if they have the registration code since they had to activate it originally.
Do you have the receipt from your original purchase? That will itemize what was installed beyond the packaged operating system material. That will add proof of purchase. -
MFP M127fn connected, test printing OK, can't print from applications
Hello Everyone!
I have just set up my M127fn via USB on a Windows 8 system. The set up went fine. I have a small stack of test pages from the HP software, but it won't print anything from any applications like MSOffice. The HP diagnostic software (Print and Scan Doctor 4.6) can communicate with the printer and everything checks out OK.
Any suggestions?

LPug and play was introduced with Windows 95 and this HP product has not lived up to that 20 year old technological standard. My previous replies are copied below.

I haven't heard a response to my most recent reply. Is there anything you can suggest before I give up and return this HP product to the store? I would like a quick resolution to this. As an update to my previous email (copied below), printing is no longer working through Adobe Reader.

If you set up the Find My iPhone service prior to your iPhone going missing, then there is a chance that can be tracked and locked, though it depends on a number of factors: the iPhone is turned on, connected to either the 3G or a WiFi network, or has not had the Find My iPhone service disabled or the iPhone been completely restored. Log into icloud.com and go to the Find My iPhone section. If you did not set up Find My iPhone, check with your cell carrier. Start with trying to put in your iPhone into recovery mode and then plug it in to iTunes and then follow the steps to restore it. If in recovery mode and still not getting anywhere, check with the article that you came from to troubleshoot it further.

the disc is spinning and I see the apple on the screen with the spinning gear and after a while it just turns off OR the few times it does get past that point when I go into disc utility it tells me that it can not install on this machine!

I'm not entirely sure I follow you here, home sharing comes with iTunes 10.2, so far as I am aware even iTunes 10.6.1 only requires OS X 10.5.8 or better. On that basis I'm not sure why you think you have a problem. -

If you are saying that you both have iCloud accounts and use the same icloud ID, then yes, the contacts will be deleted. The idea is that all devices using the same icloud ID are kept in sync. You need to use different IDs. You can keep the same iTunes ID so you can share the songs and apps. But use different icloud IDs.

Can not connect to printer and internet at the same time
I use my airport to connect to the internet via the ethernet port. Internet was working fine until I connected my printer to airport via its USB port. Now the printer works fine but I can't connect to the internet using the same connection.
I can still connect to the same server using its wireless service, but I have to keep hitting the drop down list in the menu bar to select that connection. Can't I just keep connected to the same connection without having to switch back and forth? I thought these mac products were supposed to be all user friendly... I don't have time for this.The only way to print and use the internet (or university network) at the same time is to do one of the following:
(1) Connect the printer via USB to your computer.
(2) Connect the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) via Ethernet to the university's network and then configure the AEBS to act as a bridge (not sharing a single IP address).
The AEBS can NOT wirelessly join the network.
