Lost contacts now has wifes contacts
my co-worker plugged in his iphone 4s for the first time into his computer at home , after downloading a few tunes and after his contacts where gone . now his wifes cotacts are in his phone , how can he get his contacts back ?
I did a complete restore as a "new phone" and this seems to resolve the problem (except today when I lost contacts for 1 hour but then they suddenly appeared again.)

Contacts now has random new entries
I am not sure if this is a migration issue from MobileMe to iCloud or an iOS 5 issue, but my new iPhone 4S now has a bunch of random entries in Contacts. For example an email adddress that I never had assigned to a contact is now listed in Contacts as it's own contact (not by full name but rather just the email address shows up as the entry). This phenomena has cluttered up my contacts.
Any idea on how to rememdy other than going in one by one and deleting? This issue has not been replicated back on my MacBook Pro in Address Book, though.

Inherited state: 4 systems, 1 08 R2 STD server, printer, TP link WIFI router linked to 10/100 16PT Netgear prosafe switch which linked to a Linksys wired router the WAN linked to the charter cable modem.
The Initial issue was some reason they let him run the old server as a desktop and when shut off the network crashed. The issue was that DHCP was never loaded on new server and old one still pointed to itself for DNS. I loaded DHCP on the new server, pointed the DHCP DNS to the new server and all was fine.Later he wanted a dual WIFI setup the TP-link didn't support this, so I went with an open mesh OM-2P WAP and plugged this in the wired router. No issuesHe decides to add 4 systems and 6 drops to the network...

Phone said call failed and lost service now has barley any service
I was on the phone and the call failed and then told me I had no service and now has barley any service and im in a normally high sevice area.
And what have you done thus far to troubelshoot?

While synching my iPhone, a box popped up and said that so many of my contacts are going to change. That happened before and my contacts and my wifes contacts ended up in each others phones. So we just had to go through and delete the ones we didnt want. When I did it this time, half of my contacts are gone and I have all of my wifes. Any way I can get my contacts back?
You should have been sycning them with your computer all along. Sync them from your computer back to the iphone.

Looks like you restored your backup file to her phone. If you didn't back up your wife's phone first, then the data is gone, sorry.

I suggest creating a separate AppleID for iCloud for each individual and using the same one for iTunes. By having a separate one for iCloud you can keep your contacts separated, have more iCloud storage (5 gigs each instead of sharing 5 gigs) and each have your own iMessage contact. Otherwise you both will be able to see each others imessages. You can still use the same AppleID for the iTunes Store to share music and app purchases. The iPhone "Settings" has different location for inputting your iCloud and iTunes AppleID.

My wife bought an iPad Air and synced contact from our PC (Outlook), now all our contacts in Outlook have gone and we have to go to iCloud to get them, and even then they are a bit jumbled. How do I get my data back onto my PC?
If you can see the iCloud contacts in Outlook, you can copy them back to your PC by selecting all the contacts (click one, then press Control-A), then drag and drop the selected contacts to Contacts under My Contacts on the left sidebar of Outlook.
If you want to copy your calendar back to Outlook, select your iCloud calendar on the left sidebar of Outlook, switch to the list view (select View from the ribbon, then click Change View>List), select your events (click on a single event, then press Control-A), then control drag and drop them to Calendar under My Calendars on the left sidebar.
Then you can sign out of iCloud on the iCloud control panel and your local copies will still be there. If you want to add your iCloud email account back to iCloud, you can do this with these settings: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864. -
can i use a 2nd iphone if i install itunes on another user account.when i tried to create a second library i messed up both phones, the second one now has all my contacts and when it sends txts it either says its my other phone or email address. i can cope with the first phone and getting it back on itunes but dont want to syn the 2nd phone until i know it is independant of the other one. Does it matter that both phones use the same itunes store account?
Deleting the account on your phone only removes if from your phone. The account and it's data remain intact and doing so will not effect your daughter's phone.
To do this, first go to Settings>iCloud on your phone and turn any synced data (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off, and when prompted, choose to keep the data on the phone. When finished, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Then set up a new iCloud account with a different Apple ID and turn any data you want to sync with iCloud (contact, calendars, etc.) back to On. This will upload your data to your new iCloud account. -

Deleting an account from a device will not delete the information from the account, if that is what you are asking. -
I am using my Apple ID for me and for my wife. when I sync. the phones i lost all my wife contact. how do i recover the contact from i cloud?

My teenage daughter and i share an apple id on both of our iphones (2 phones both are 5s) . She now has an ipad with a her own apple id. How can we change the apple id on her phone so that is the same as the ipad and not loose any contacts or songs?
Did you take a look at the new feature Apple - iOS 8 - Family Sharing ?
Apple - iCloud - Family Sharing
Up to now, songs bought from iTunes could only be played by the Apple ID that has been used to buy them.
If you set up Family Sharing, your daughter can also play your songs and use the same contact info as before.
If you don't want to do that, sync the contact info to the address book on your computer, and sync the info back, using iTunes:
Sync your iPhone, iPad and iPod with iTunes using USB
If the iPad already has her Apple ID and contact info on it, restore the phone from the latest iPad backup. -
My mom updated her iPhone to iOS7, and now she has my contacts. Does this mean that she has access to all of my photos as well? How can she 'unlink' our phones? Or, is there anyway that I can get my stuff to disappear from her phone? We share iTunes account so I think we are both on the same iCloud.

If you are using the same ID as a primary iCloud login, then yes she can see your photos in photostream if you have it enabled.
You can use the same ID for iTunes so you can share all your purchases, but you need different ID's for iCloud.
Unfortunately, the mess caused by sharing the ID, will need to be sorted manually, once you both have your own ID's. -

I had trouble with a iTunes download. Two songs of an album were not complete. I contacted iTunes and they redownloaded the tunes. My iTunes now has the complete copies. The trouble is my iPhone will not accept/sync the complete copies. It will only play the original incomplete copies of these songs. I've made new playlists and made sure I had the correct items checked to backup/sync. Still only the incomplete copies are played via the iPhone. What's up? What can I do to get to the iPhone to sync the correct version?

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
- Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
- Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck
If they are still available and listed in your Puchase History then contact iTunes
