Lost contacts using iCloud

Hi guys,
At the first, I have synced the contacts to iCloud using my MacBook from iPhone4. Some months back, I deleted some of my contacts in MacBook's Address Book that were synced. But, did not deleted contacts in iPhone. I guess, Mac & iPhone got synced while in Internet and I can't figure out those deleted contacts in iPhone.
Please help to retrieve those deleted contacts!

I still remember I back up using iTunes in MacBook. I think, it was 2 months back. Is there any chances of losing apps if I restore the back up?

  • How do I restore my lost contacts using icloud?

I tried turning off contacts but no msg pops up like I've read in other posts.

When you restore your phone using the settings > general > reset options, you will be given the opportunity to restore from a previous iCloud backup.

  • Lost Contacts, used iCloud but nothing.

Last night before I fell asleep my iphone asked me to input my icloud apple info, so I did and everything seems fine. I get a text this morning and it just shows their number. I go to my contacts and see that everything is gone. I try syncing it with itunes but nothing, I go to iCloud.com to see my contacts online and they are still there which means they are still in iCloud.
How do I get them back onto my phone then?

Is Contact syncing enabled under the iCloud account?
Is the iCloud account actually setup on the device?

  • HELP! LOST CONTACTS! ICLOUD!

Okay, I lost all of my contacts and I need help on how to get it back. This is what I did. For the first time, I turned on icloud for the contacts. So once that's done. I checked my contacts and it was all missing. I turned off icloud contacts now and the contacts are still missing. I don't know what to do. Help.... OMG, I can't breathe...

Using a computer's browser, log into icloud.com and go to the Contacts page.  Are they there?  If missing, then you missed a step in setting up contacts on icloud.  You could always restore from an itunes backup to get them back.

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  This will erase your device.  Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

  • Retrieving pictures of lost phone using icloud

I have just lost my ipod5 and wanted to retrieve my pictures off of it that were just taken before it was lost. I used icloud and was able to retrieve some of the pictures, but not all of them. Why is this happening? how do i get all of them?

Many users have lost photos while preforming a restore from backup or upgrading the iOS.   Recall, only photos in the camera roll are backed up to iCloud.  There is a way to turn backups for camera roll on/off, perhaps these users had camera roll turned off.
    See:
Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage,  tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned on.
    IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream.  If using Photo stream, but sure to move the received photos to a permanent album.  If you have been doing that, then you can sync those photos back to your device.
Or, you can fiind other apps in the app store that send camera roll photos to a service like Dropbox.
If you haven't been saving photos except relying on iCloud to store them in a backup, then that is risky, as many users have discovered.  I'm afraid I have no advice in this case - there is no "cure".

  • How do I recover lost contacts in iCloud?

Today, a portion of contacts disappeared from iCloud. It is like I time-traveled back 3 or 4 years. They are gone across all my devices.  Posts about recovering contacts using i-tunes do not apply to my version of the OS.  I have OSX 10.9.5. How do I recover? I had to change my AppleID password this weekend because someone tried to access my account via a browser. However, the contacts disappeared today. I noticed it first on my phone, then my desktop and confirmed they were gone on my iPad.

access by going to www.icloud.com you could try restore from cloud to get it back if its gone

  • Find lost Mac using iCloud

Hello, friends someone broke into my house n stole my  iPads and Mac laptop I'm trying to locate it using iCloud any advise please. Thnx

What To Do If Your iDevice Is Lost Or Stolen
If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if Wi-Fi is enabled on the device. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. You cannot expect Apple or anyone else to find your device for you. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.
If your iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, or iPad is lost or stolen what do you do? There are things you should have done in advance - before you lost it or it was stolen - and some things to do after the fact. Here are some suggestions:

  • Syncing Contacts using iCLoud

Why is it that I can see all my contacts on my iPad2 but I can't see them on my iPhone 4Gs?  Both running iOS 5.01 and using iCloud to sync.

On the iPhone tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Contacts off then back on then reset the iPhone.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • Lost Contacts Through iCloud Sync. Please Help!

    Hi Everyone,
I've had an iPhone 4 for a while. The wife just took delivery of an iPhone 4S. We both use the same MacBook. We also both share the same Apple ID Account. I Sync'd my contacts with the Macbook sometime ago. When my wife changed over from her old iPhone 3G to her new 4S she sync'd contacts. Then she set up her new 4S and sync'd again. She got all her contacts and my old contacts! We both had iCloud Contacts enabled. The wife then went into her contacts on her iPhone and deleted all the unwanted contacts (My Contacts!). Now all I have left on my iPhone are her contacts! I've lost all mine!!! They Don't even appear in the Contacts App on the Macbook! Please help!
    Many thanks.

    Paul,
I just got off of the phone with Apple support.  The one option they identified was to see if there was device back-up in iTunes.  Here is how:
    Open iTunes
Click on the iTunes in toolbar (top left of computer)
    Open preferences
    Open Devices
This should show the back-up compressed files by date
I had one from my original sync with the new 4S.  Now, we did not go through the process as I may have another option to obtain my contacts through the Exchange server as this is my business phone.  You can contact support and work with them as they were extremely helpful, and it was easy to schedule a meeting time.
    I hope this helps.

  • Lost Contacts, Use iPhone to Recover?

On the assumption that Backup was setup and that .Mac Sync was turned on, my girlfriend recently lost all of her Contacts, Calendars, and Safari Bookmarks when installing Leopard. All of her other data was backed up to an external HD, however, we both assumed that the .Mac items were already saved. Obviously a pivotal learning lesson for us both, however, can we use the iPhone to recover any data?
    Thanks!

Contacts and calendars will sync back to your PC from the phone
When you sync contacts though make sure you create at least a contact in your PC's address book so that the information will merge between PC and phone

  • Searching contacts using iCloud contacts on windows 7

Have installed icloud control panel on my windows 7 operation system.  Now syncing outlook calendar and contacts, but can no longer search my contacts by city, state or zipcode.  If possible please reply to [email protected]  Thanks.

Sorry, I should have said there does NOT seem to be an option to select multiple files and download from iCloud using iTunes Match.

  • Recovering lost contacts from icloud

I recently made my own Apple Id and switched off my parents to be on my own account. When switching over on my phone it asked me if I wanted to keep my contact data from my iphone. Mindlessly reading I accidentally hit delete, thus deleting all of my contacts. I did not have my contacts saved in the cloud I don't think. Just wondering if there's anyway I could recover them?

    Hi Drew,
When you say you were on your parents' account, do you mean that your iPhone had the AppleID that your parents use on it? How much have you done using your new ID? Are you still using the same iTunes library that your parents use?
Can you give us a better idea of how you were set up on both the phone and on iTunes and how you are set up now?
What about iCloud? Before and after?
