Lost Customize Toolbar Ability in v2, v3.6 Still Won't Open Customize

Lost the ability to Customize the Toolbar '''altogether''', after a FF or Add-on upgrade I think, never to return. Selecting the option simply does nothing. No window opens, nothing. Hoped to shed problem on v3 upgrade, but no.
Ashamed to say I no longer know exactly when it started. Been too long. My Disability demanded I not take time trying to remedy problem, other than no hit Help Forum searches.
But thought I'd ask anyway. Might just get lucky - any ideas? Thanks.

Check to see if an add-on is causing this. To do that follow the procedure in the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article.
If that does not help, you can try creating a new profile to see if the new profile works. Firefox stores user data in the profile folder, creating a new profile will show if the problem is in your current profile folder. i have google as home page, but seemed to have lost the toolbar at top of my screen which has bookmarks and other info stored up there to make it easier for me to get to frequently used sites. Iam not real computer savvy so all this has been set up for me to make it easier to operrate on my behalf

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Command+Shift+F).

I've been taking screen shots for years and opening them from my desktiop. Suddenly, today, I've lost the ability to open them. I can right click on the picture and do "quicklook", but that's it. They just won't open.
Similary, if I scan an image and save it as a PDF file in pictures, I'm suddenly not able to open it either!
Why?

Move the com.apple.screencapture.plist file out of /username/Library/Preferences/ to the Desktop, log out and back in, and try again.
BTW, use the default 10 point setting for text. Your choice just wastes screen space.

Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.
Hit the '''Alt''' key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark. <br />
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.

I seemed to have lost multi clip ability...
I have a multi clip in timeline, i dbl click its in the viewer showin two feeds.
Yesterday when I synced I could play the timeline and the viewer would follow.
I cannot do this today, not sure why also my (play multi clip) from the RT drop down is not there. I do not know if I have done something that has change the settings.
Is there something I am missing?
I need to somehow get this working as it was before, any ideas?
Please any help would be grateful

Hi,
When you set your monitor to a screen resolution that it won't support, the screen will go black for a few seconds while the monitor reverts back to the original resolution.
Regarding screen resolution, we may follow the below two articles to change it:

Follow the steps below:
1. Open Screen Resolution by clicking the Start button, clicking
Control Panel, and then, under Appearance and Personalization, clicking Adjust screen resolution.
2.Click the drop-down list next to Resolution. Check for the resolution marked (recommended). This is your LCD monitor's native resolution—usually the highest resolution your monitor can support.
And if the monitor is LCD monitor, The monitor's manufacturer or reseller should also be able to tell you the native resolution for your LCD monitor. Or we may check the monitor's manual to adjust.

Nope, i was able to download it in the Middle East...
Apple always releases updates to everyone in the same time... (unlike Android and Nokia)
Something is wrong...
What ou can do is unplug the appletv from the electricity and the hdmi, plug it ony to your laptop using a mini usb plug (the one used by many cameras and tech devices)...
Open itunes, find the apple tv, click on restore and let it download from laptop...
That oughta update the firmware to 4.4.1...

Lost pdf viewing ability

By accident I deleted my Applications folder . I reinstalled it from backup. Now when I use Safari and click on a site with a PDF, Safari won't open the PDF in the Safari window.
I reinstalled Adobe and downloaded the Safari application, then reinstalled the OS 10.4.3 upgrade, but these didn't help.

I use Adobe Reader 7 with the web browser plug in which opens pdf in the Safari browser. It should be somewhat similar as far as expanding and collapsing the toolbar. You should have a box somewhere to expand and collapse the toolbar.
If you're not using Acrobat Reader, you may want to download the free latest version 7 with the web browser plugin and install it. It works great with Safari.
