Can I show todays date on iPad mini?
                                                             W.W.

Easy ways to see the current date on most iOS devices:
When turning the device on, view the date on the lock screen below the time.
Open the Calendar app and press the "Today" button.
If you mean showing the date next to the time at the topof the screen most of the time, then the answer seems to be "no." If I need to confirm the date for some reason, I just tap the top button twice to get back to the lock screen.

  • Lost, then found ipad mini has no data, settings, etc

I have an ipad and an ipad mini setup with same id, different apps. Mini was lost, I used find my phone to activate lost mode and display a phone number. I did not try to erase the iPad remotely. After the iPad mini was returned to me, it started up and restored with a copy of my other iPads data and applications. Is there anyway to find the set up, and restore it, that was on the mini? This includes apps, photos, etc.

If you have backed up your device before losing it, you can restore it again and choose to restore from backup when going through the first boot setup from either an iCloud or an iTunes backup.

  • Problem with cellular data on ipad mini

The problem is that I cannot turn off cellular data for some apps. Earlier I was turning on/off cellular data for each app. Now its turning on cellular data for apps by himself.

If you go to Settings->Cellular Data you can turn off the cellular functionality of your iPad there.

  • "Your software is up to date" on iPad mini w/ 6.1.3

    Oh cruel fate!
Why does my iPad not want iOS 7? It acknowledged the available update just minutes ago. But then I deleted a few apps and rebooted; now, nothing.

I had the iOS 7 update available at ~10:45 am Pacific time for my iPhone 5. I did not update then and checked just now again on my iPhone (over the air update) and the update available to me has been backdated from iOS 7 to iOS 6.1.4 (note that I'm still running iOS 6.1.0). Wait and try again later.

  • I was setting up an iPad Mini and it updated my iMac's OS. It reverted to 2011 and I have lost emails, desktop data and Adobe won't let me in to software. Help!

I was setting up an iPad Mini and it updated my iMac's OS. It reverted to 2011 and I have lost emails, desktop data and Adobe won't let me in to software. Help!

The iPad was plugged into the iMac to transfer apps etc and asked to update the macs OS. The result is that the last 12 months of emails have gone ( emails not working) as have whatever files were on the desktop. The calendar has also reverted to 2011.
Worse still is adobe software I use for work won't let me open.
    Any ideas?

  • Win7 64-bit "lost" device driver for Ipad mini-can't charge/transfer data

I have had no trouble up till now with plugging my ipad mini into my PC and moving music, photos etc. etc. A couple of days ago came the update to IOS 6.1.2. Yesterday I tried connecting the Ipad. The first thing that happened was that Itunes updated to the latest version. Now every time I try and connect, I get the message "device driver not installed successfully". I get a message that it is synching photos, music etc. but (a) I can't see the Ipad in windows explorer, (b) it won't charge.
Windows device manager says I have the latest driver.
I have uninstalled itunes (3 times now). I have uninstalled all other apple software and all the bits left behind when the uninstaller didn't do it's job properly.
I have followed all the instructions in the various KBs on the support site including rebooting the PC and turning the Ipad off and on again (numerous times). I've run everything as administrator.
I still have no success in acessing my stuff on windows - including some more music which I want to transfer. I wanted to put some documents on the Ipad to take to an exhibition today, but because of this c**p I couldn't.
If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.
    thanks for looking

  • Any way to recover Pages documents on disabled, never-synced iPad Mini or connect it to network so Lost message will appear?

    Hi,
Apologies for the long post. For my three questions, please skip to the bold copy below. The first couple paragraphs are preamble.
Yesterday I unwittingly--and dimwittedly--disabled my 2012 iPad Mini by entering my password too many times. (Or rather my coat pocket and Bluetooth keyboard did it as I walked all over town, unaware of what they were up to. The activated keyboard in one pocket continually woke the sleeping iPad in my other pocket, the iPad kept demanding a password, and in the jostling I must have entered password after password. Finally it disabled because I'd set it to do so. I didn't know it was permanent though. I thought it would ask me to try again in a few hours. My oversight.)
I'm desperate to get my Pages documents off the iPad, which I've never backed up on iCloud or synced with iTunes. (My Macbook went belly up in July and I couldn't afford both a new computer and the more portable iPad--so I just bought the iPad and the Pages app.) Until December I was emailing myself the Pages manuscripts I was working on, but a few weeks ago I got lazy about this, and now I've lost a month's worth of work. I couldn't be madder at myself.
The Genius Bar gave me only the Erase/Restore option, which I can't bring myself to do. So I tried a couple third-party apps (Dr. Fone and Phone Unlocker) on my office iMac. But both require me to tell the iPad to "Trust this Mac" when the iPad shows the prompt--which the iPad doesn't do because it's completely disabled. The only words that ever appear onscreen are "iPad is disabled" and "Connect to iTunes."
So I'm scouring my brain for solutions:
    1) Is there any hope of re-enabling the iPad while preserving the data, maybe by starting a restore process in iTunes and aborting before data is erased? Then maybe the password field will show up again and I can type in the correct one?
    2) Or, even better, is there a way to connect the iPad to a network via the Lightning connector or even by taking it apart and hooking it up to something or other? (WiFi was on when I last used the iPad, though I don't have a cellular plan.) I ask because if I can get it online, then it will get the Lost iPad message I sent via Find My iPhone (in iCloud), and presumably the password field will show up on the iPad (along with my phone number), allowing me to enter the password once I've marked it as Found. But the iPad will only receive my message to it if it's connected to a network--which it can't do while disabled.
    3) Is there any chance that in the next few months or years someone will figure out a solution (maybe a better recovery software) that will let me access my documents again? I just can't delete them, even if it means putting it in a drawer and saving up for a new iPad.
Many, many thanks for any suggestions, no matter how outlandish. I'm desperate!

    Hi Brian
I had the same exact thing happen to me - except it was my wireless keyboard that disabled my ipad.  I also have documents on Pages that I did not want t to lose.  This worked for me!  Found it on another help site....I was able reactivate my ipad - nothing lost - all is good!
    1. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    2. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    3. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    4. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    5. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    6. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    7. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

    Recovery Mode
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
    2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
    3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
    5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost.

While trying to update my Ipad mini to iOS8.0.2 , I lost my net connection and Ipad just hung up with iTunes logo, what to do now?

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
