i had a podcast -personal from a company- and i plugged it into the car charger and i had all sorts of problems with it, i used the original ipod cord with the usb car charger a/c adapter, i lost the data and is there any way of getting it back without going to my pc and putting it back onto it??? email me back the answer @ [email protected]

GPS runs down battery while plugged into car charger

Hello,
I have a Fascinate with the 2.2.1 and the Samsung car charger. When I run Google Navigation or Bing Map while the phone is plugged into the car charger, the phone battery drains and does not charge until I exit navigation. If I walk out to the car with a full battery and plug it in, the icon will indicate charging while I am driving to my destination but when I arrive and unplug the phone after about an hour's drive time, the battery immediately shows red and the phone shuts itself off. The phone will charge normally when plugged into the car charger but only if navigation is turned off.
I don't know if it does this also with the VZW navigation app, I don't use it.
There are no other apps running other than the pre-installed bloatware. Wifi and Bluetooth are turned off.
The phone does this with two different Samsung chargers and also a generic charger. There is only about 6 months on the battery. It did the same thing before the last system update (I first thought I had a bad charger, which is how I ended up with two).
Anyone else?

I have checked my references here and I am not showing that this is a known issue with the Fascinate. Since you mentioned that this was occurring before the update and is still occurring after the update, this tells me that the root cause of the issue may be with the device itself.

With the 3GS Apple dropped support for charging over the firwire pin on the dock connector. Some older chargers will only supply power over the firewire pin, and thus will not work. There are adapters that will fix this, here's one example:

Keeping zen micro backlight on when using the car charg

Is there any way to keep the backlight on, when using the car charger. I have my zen micro hooked up the my car stereo. It would be nice to be able to see the screen at night. The lights for the buttons stay lit, but not for the screen.

RMSkater: There's no "always on" setting. This is for good reason I think as the type of light Creative use will wear out with a few thousand hours of use, which will get eaten up relati'vely quickly if "always on". At least I believe that's what Creative have said in the past.

Problem on date while using gui_upload

I'm not getting date properly while using GUI_UPLOAD.
I see the parameter DAT_MODE in the exporting parameters.
But I'm unable to give the exact value for that parameter.
Can anyone let me know how to upload the date exactly?

Do you really need to use this parameter? You can just coment this line and it will work properly.

I upgraded to iPhone 4s from 3g, can I use the car charger for the 3g with the 4s?

I have a new 4s and wish to use my existing car charger with the phone. The cables that came with the 4s look like the cables for the 3g and ipod I have, but appearances can be deceptive. Just wish to know if I have to buy a new charger or will my existing one work?

Using 3G car charger

Does anyone know if it is possible to use a basic car charger originally intended for a 3G model on the new iPhone 4? It plugs in properly but I want make sure that it wouldn't damage the new phone.

It won't do any harm to try. Some older chargers will work, others won't. With the 3GS Apple dropped support for charging on the firewire pins, which some car chargers use. If its a USB charger it should work.

White screen of death after using with car charger

I plugged my iphone into a brand new belkin car charger and it instantly caused the screen to go white. I unplugged it immediately and then reset it.
The next day I charged it and it booted up ok, but would not acquire the cell network and then would not respond to touch.
I then rebooted again and rather than getting pure white screen, I got lines of different colour vertically up and down the screen. Eventually it then created a white screen again. Everytime I reset or touched any button, the same sequence would occur - flicker of coloured lines on the screen and then fill out to a white screen. Plugging it into a mac made no difference, it was not recognised by the computer.
It is now completely bricked and does not respond to anything.
Anyone seen anything similar ?

Yes!!! After the 1.1.1 update, I had the exact same thing happen with my Belkin Auto Kit. A real bummer, because until I updated, I was happy as a clam listening to music in my car off my iPhone.
Anyway, I had the same thing happen- white screen with flashing colored lines and then a whole bunch of problems. Eventually, my iPhone became completely unresponsive. An Apple Genius took one look at it and gave me a new phone.

Berkeley db lost data when using autocommit

I has written an app which uses berkeley db 4.5.20(libdb_cxx-4.5.so). There are serveral threads reading and writing the same db using autocommit. All the reading threads share one db handle and All writing threads have their own db handles. In reading threads, cursor and explicit transaction are used to retrieve data. In write thread, the db->put method is used to write data. In the app, the return value of put is checked to see whether success.
After serveral days running, the app definitely lost some data(there is a thread to dump the imcomming data to disk for comparison), and the return value of put method seems all ok. Can someone point out the possible reason or how to debug this from log files or something else?

Cover that will work on touch while using tomtom car kit

Hi,
JUst got a Tomtom car kit, and trying to find if there is a cover that will fit the touch while its in the tomtom dock, as don't really want to have to keep taking my cover of every time I want to use the tomtom.

I tried the suggestions and they do work for Tom Tom car kit.
I had to close the car kit application and restart it until it showed as docked but then worked fine in navfree.
I also disabled wifi on the iPod touch so that it had to use gps
I have now purchased uk Ireland tomtom application.
The palm Bluetooth GPS does not appear in the devices list still though.
Are there any applications that can be bought to support this as car kit is not any good when on foot?
I do have a USB power pack but that means carrying power pack and car kit with iPod docked in it.

Hi All, Now we are using the datetime in a dialog, but the requirement for us is the date before today should not be chose anymore, should be set it disable. I look the doc Here, I know there is a way for the textfield to use the regular expression to verify the data. but i cannot find this (or other way) to do this.

Looking at your use case. The value is dynamic. What you can do is create a listener node under your 'datetime' xtype node and create a property 'beforerender" (which is basically an event) of type string and add the code like [1] to set min date

Can I use my home WiFi's data while using Personal Hotspot

at the moment I'm using my personal hotspot at home, as I have no ethernet cord to run from my router to PC
Is there someway that I can connect my phone to WiFi and then use that through my computer? or is the only way to use my own data that comes with my phone?

It should be using your data. The hotspot connection is via 3G and is supported by your carrier. It can use wifi to connect to your computer, but it cannot use the wifi to provide the data.
How can you connect your computer to wifi anyway. You talk about the inability to connect your computer to the router, but then you want to connect the comptuer to wifi from your router, but still want to use the Personal Hotspot. This does not make any sense. Does the router have the ability to do wifi? If so, you don't need the hotspot, just connect the PC to the router via wifi.
