Lost disc

I've lost my Dreamweaver CS5 disc, but I still have my serial number and I've registered my copy on adobe.com. As adobe has moved to CS6 if something happens to my digital copy on my PC I have no way of reinstalling Dreamweaver. Can I get a new disc or a digital download even a trial version that I can unlock with my serial?

You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site or else the download will not work properly.

  • New Computer, lost disc, have serial, can I put on new computer

Does anyone know if I can download the software for elements 2.0 from their site. I have my serial number, lost the disc and want to install in n my new computer.
I just got 7.0 and dont like it, it doesnt have the photomerge that 2.0 elements had.
    any help is greatly appreciate
    Les
    [email protected]

PSE 2.0 is long gone from the Adobe site, but you could probably get a cheap copy on eBay. Or, just take this as a chance to upgrade. Photomerge was improved in PSE 3.0, but I don't know whether they made any further enhancements in PSE 4.0 for Windows.

  • Can't reach recovery on 10.6.8 and lost discs

    Hi,
My friend has a Mac which I am guessing is from around 2010 / 2011, which has 10.6.8 installed. It will boot to desktop OK, but hangs shortly after with the rainbow wheel, but you are still able to move the mouse around, but just not click on anything.
I have tried to boot into recovery using CMD + R but it just boots normally, so I am assuming there is no recovery partition. I have also tried to boot into safe mode to access the Disk Utility, but it doesn't really get much further than the desktop.
She is happy for me to wipe the HD clean and do a fresh install as she has all of her documents backed up already (not via Time Machine)
Now we have a problem in that she has lost the discs that came with the Mac, so we can't use those to get to recovery / reinstall. She has a Macbook Pro too, so could she possibly download a copy of Mountain Lion from the App Store on there, create a bootable USB and install this on her Mac. I know that the CDs that come with machines are build specific to the machine, but is the download from the App store also specific to the machine, or is it just like a general retail version that can be installed on any Mac?
    Thanks

    Hi Eric,
Thanks for the response. She does in fact have Mountain Lion available for download on her app store as she bought this for her MacBook pro.
So I guess the only question I have regarding this now, if she presses download on Mountain Lion using her MacBook pro, will this download a macbook pro specific version (like the discs sent with systems), or is it just a general retail release of Mountain Lion that can be installed on a Macbook, Macbook Pro, Mac etc ? If it is just a normal retail version that can be used on any system, I can create a bootable USB and go from there.
    Thanks

  • I need to download CS5 Design Premium, have serial number but lost disc

Awhile ago I purchased the CS5 Design Premium but have recently moved and can't find the discs. I assume they are either still packed up somewhere or got lost during the move. I got a new computer as well and need to be able to download it. I still have my serial number. Is there a download link you can possibly send me? Thanks.

    Hi White-Whiskers,
You can download CS5 from this location and use your serial no to activate it.

  • Lost disc for Photoshop cs5.1 extend

i have lost my installation disc for my copy of photoshop, i still have my serial number. Is it possible to somehow to get a download link, what the best way to install it on another computer.

Not sure about the student edition, which I have never used, if they binaries are different or not, but you could try.
The link, above, is for CS5.0.  If you really have CS5.1, then the download for that is on the CS5.5 page:
    http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs5-5-direct-download-links.html
All recent PS trials are Extended versions, where the serial number determines whether you get the extended features or not.

  • CS6 lost disc. Do I have to buy it again?

I bought the CS6 and promptly lost the disc before I could download it onto my computer. I still have the box, it has a sticker with some codes on the bottom, not sure if those would do anything? So my question is, do I have to buy it again or will the codes on the box help me download it online? Thanks.

You can download it online without anything special.  The part you need to be concerned with is whether or not the number you see on the box is the serial number.  You can install the trial version and use the serial number to activate it to full use.  Here is a link that might help you out as far as identifying the serial number:
    https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html
(do not post your number online for anyone to see)
As far as downloading the software goes, here is a link to a page in the Adobe site:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html
You can also download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site or else the download will not work properly.

  • Lost discs, do I have to buy logic again?

Lost data disc due to fire. I still have the serial numbers via email from apple.
when i buy a new mac mini next friday do i have to buy it again?

    Hey sekhem
I don't know a definite answer to your question but I have some experience with the Apple staff in my country. Apple is very well organized and they know who registered their software digitally after the installation.
I once bought a Logic Pro 9 Upgrade for a colleague as he had Logic Express. It was the wrong upgrade however, it was the upgrade from Logic Pro 8 to Logic Pro 9 and NOT the upgrade from Logic Express to Logic Pro 9. So I tried to bring it back and replace it with the correct upgrade version.
The friendly Apple salesperson looked up if the copy of Logic had been already activated (which was not the case as the colleague realized it was the wrong upgrade version when he tried to install it) and by paying the difference I could get the correct upgrade. Even though the box was opened!
To cut a long story short: Apple knows if you registered the software and I'm sure if you ask in one of the Apple shops and give them your name and your serial number they might organize discs for you. I was pleasantly surprised about the Apple customer care several times so it sure doesn't hurt to ask.

  • Want to reinstall OS10.4 but lost disc

I'm selling my Mac and wanted to do a complete reinstall of OS10.4 but I've lost the discs. I have the original 10.3 discs. Is there a way I can find out the serial No. for 10.4 from my computer and download the OS from Apple? Any other wipe clean answers welcome.

You can boot from the original Panther 10.3.x installer disc (hold C key on startup with
disc in optical drive bay) and in the Installer's Menu bar at top of the first full window
you should be able to find some options, one of these would be Disk Utility on that disc.
This can do an erase and install; you can also use options in Disk Utility to have it
over-write the hard disk drive at least one pass and it will put zeros over everything.
Then you can choose to format the hard disk drive and then run the Installer's full
installation process. If you do go that far, you may be able to stop the process just
before the computer would require your personal info on the new OSX. That way,
a new owner could personalize it on first-run startup, as a new computer system.
If not, you could make a super user admin account (not of your name, if you don't
put in your own info, you can have an installation a new owner can use, and they
can later change the password or make other daily user accounts and leave the
original Admin you'd create mostly intact. If you do this and make the system ready
to use (and also show the computer is working correctly) you could also go online
and get the Combo 10.3.9 update file and last security updates; and maybe get a
recent browser that can still run well and secure in Panther 10.3.9.
Be sure to use the Disk Utility's 'repair disk permissions' button and run this between
software installations and updates; to be sure they're working correctly in the system.
If you have any other related Panther questions, there are many answers available.
Also, with Panther installed, a new owner can still update or upgrade to Tiger. Some
of the overpriced Tiger discs out there are only updater discs and won't boot the Mac.
These are sometimes of questionable worth; but they are out there and sometimes
get sold with the impression they are full retail equivalents; but they don't boot and
cannot reinstall a full system (less update Combo, etc) like a retail boot disc can.
Hopefully this helps, in any event...
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Lost Disc 2 of OSX 10.5 to finish installation, need help

    Hi,
I have a Mac that has bee sitting in my room for a few about a year, I decided to see if it still runs and give it to my daughter. I turned it own and nothing showed up as a hard drive except that a disc was left installed on the computer. I finally got it out and tried to install it. The first disc went well and then it asked for disc 2. I don't have disc 2. I found a single disc of Snow Leopard or Lion and tried to install that, but when I try to install it, the only option it gives me is to install it on the first disc of 10.5, no hard drive.
So how to I get it to let me see the hard drive to install it on? Is there a way to wipe the drive of the attempt of installing 10.5 so I can install the next operating version that I have the disc's for?
    Really confused.
    Thanks
    Tim

    Hi,
Thats what I thought. I did that and nothing happened different, it said it is loading it all up and when finished went back to installer mode. I got the wifi working and downloaded all the updates it said it needed but it wouldn't load them on to run them. I am learning alot but not really making progress. I was thinking of running the two machines in Target mode. I have all the latest OSX on my own machine and the other one has nothing installed it said, is it possible for me to dump this operating system onto the other one. If this was your machine what would you do. The closet place that does mac repairs is about 100 miles away.
Thanks so much for your patience.
    Tim

  • P/w's lost disc drive broken ibook g4

I have an old ibook g4 that has been in a drawer for a while and I suddenly wanted some information from it that I hadn't migrated to my new macbook pro. I haven't got a clue what the passwords are, even with the hints I gave to myself, it's three years since I looked at it. I did my student dissertation (conservation of historical objects) on this machine and I now have a studio and there are some recipes on there that I need on how to clean leather and a recipe for an airbrush medium (museum standard) and it's on this machine!!!! towards the end of my degree I ended up in hospital for 8 months, now recovered can't remember these passwords. The disc drive is broken on this g4 (which is why I got a new macbook pro) so I can't put the start-up disc in to reset by pressing the 'C' key. HELP please, I bet there's loads of other info on there that I've forgotten about like photos that I haven't seen in ages etc................... The charger lead's a bit loose but have managed to get it charged up but how do I get past this first screen????????? Hopeful that something can be done....... Can't remember what operating system exactly but know its O X

Hello, Welcome to the support community
You could try using your iBook as a FireWire drive to access your content. It would require a FireFire 400 to 800 lead, which will go between your iBook and MacBook This is called FireFire Target Disk Mode
Here is some information to help you
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1661
The only other way would be to remove the iBook's Hard Drive and place it into an external casing, allowing the drive to become an external USB drive.
    Such as this http://www.amazon.com/HDE-Hard-Drive-Case-Enclosure/dp/B001AAVC2E/ref=sr_1_1?ie= UTF8&qid=1348662507&sr=8-1&keywords=2.5+ide+usb+hard+drive+caddy
They can be ordered from, places like Amazon or any good electronic retailer.
    Best of Luck

  • How to re-install PSE7? [was: lost disc]

Hi, I can't find my PS Elements 7 disc (yes, I know it's old but good enough for me) and tried unsuccessfully to use my serial number to activate a downloaded copy.  Is there a way around this without having to pay for another copy?

Thanks, but when I enter the correct serial number (as per that found on the back of the DVD case) a red cross appears and, after selecting 'submit', I'm told that the code is incorrect.
Is this anything to do with having used it on my previous PC? If so, how do I reset it (that PC no longer exists)?
