LOST EDIT BUTTON FOR CONTACTS

I cannot edit any contact info as I appear to have lost the edit button that used to appear in the upper right hand corner.

Hi
Settings > iCloud.
Turn Calendar and Contacts off then turn them back on.
if that doesn't work, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > Accounts -  delete the account which is Exchange enabled. Now setup your Mail account again.

I tried to delete some old unnwanted contacts from my I phone. But it does not show the delete or edit option in the contact list page.

My settings are fine.  I believe the issue is because there is a typo in the email address to the person I am trying to send the email to.  I am trying to open the email to correct typo but every time I try to open the email I get a message saying, "Cannot open email, email is being sent."  I also cannot delete this email either.

I am not sure how this works but it seems that it may be all or nothing.
To turn off Facebook events on your device:
    Settings > Facebook > Calendars > Off

Just sync your address book in iTunes and this will fix the problem.  I had the same issue.

    Hey Ninjarette,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues with your Contacts application. To troubleshoot these issues, let’s force the app to close, and then restart your device:

  • I am getting a 6 soon. But need to back up my 4S. I have two problems: one, I cannot get the rest of the videos off my phone.  two, I have no plus or edit button in contacts and cannot delete or fix and bad numbers. Help

Actually, I have three problems. I had to turn off iCloud because every time I turn it on, it wipes out all my contacts.  Thankfully they're on my macbook and I was able to text them back to the phone.  Honestly, this is making me batty.  All I want to do is preserve my information before the new phone comes in. I did do a back-up to iTunes, but will that bring all the problems over to the new phone?!?
First? I tried to edit a contact today. No edit button.  Then I thought, I'll just add her. No plus sign.
Last but not least? I have a LOT of memory being taken up on my 16 G 4s with videos that iTunes and iPhoto refuse to see.  I can't even figure out how to see the folder on my iPhone when it's plugged in.
    Help!

  • I want to add a Saved Mailbox, but I do not have an Edit button for Mailboxes?  Is there a setting that causes the Edit button to display?

The user manual says to go Mailboxes and click the Edit button to add a Mailbox, but I do not have an Edit button displayed in Mailboxes.  Is there a setting for displaying the Edit Button?  I have the latest version of iPad (Model MD328LL).  Thanks.

If you go to your email account in the Mail app and look at the window where your inbox, trash folder and sent folder are - if there is an Edit button at the top of the window - tap that and then tap Add Mailbox at the bottom.
If the Edit button is not there - you cannot create folders on the iPad. Your email account is not IMAP. Only IMAP email accounts can create folders on the iPad. Any folders that you would already have in an IMAP account would sync to the device as well.

  • NO EDIT BUTTON FOR APPLE ID/PRIMARY EMAIL?

I'm trying to change my Primary email for my Apple Id.
I found an Apple 'how to' article where they say to click on Edit next to the Apple ID but THERE'S NO EDIT BUTTON.
So annoying!!  Anyone knows how to change the Apple Primary Email address?
    Thanks

This is a category for Apple Pay, first of all. Second of all, go into https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage to change your email address used for Apple services.

  • Create custom Edit button for list on SharePoint 2013 page

    Hi
I have a custom list which holds contact information such as name, telephone, address.  I am displaying the custom list webpart with using a custom view on the site home page which only shows name and telephone.  It should only
have 1 item so 'New Item' is not needed.  However I still need to be able to edit the item.  If I click 'Edit' on the list view on the home page, it will open a quick edit box only showing name and telephone.
How can I create a custom button on the home page that will open the custom list item form instead?  Therefore all columns will be editable and I can remove the "New and Edit" toolbar from the webpart.
    Marc Collins www.QGate.co.uk

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to open the custom list item form.
Per my knowledge, there is out of box method to achieve it.
After you insert the web part to a page, you need to edit the web part and change List Views as below, then it will remove the "New and Edit" toolbar from the webpart.
In the page, if you click the web part , the ribbon will appear. After you select the item and click Edit Item, the edit form with all fields will be displayed.
    Thanks,

  • Can I bulk edit data for contacts in Maverick?

Hello Community - First time poster!  This seems like a common problem, but I can't find any info on the boards.
A company moved and I need to change the phone and address for all of the employees there in my contacts. However, it's a big company and there are hundreds of employees so doing this one-by-one isn't feasible.
Is there a way - perhaps with Automator? Or Apple Script?  To change them all at once?
Also, my contacts are saved on gmail, not on my hard drive but I can import/export them in/out if that solves the problem.
Does anyone have a quick fix for such a simple problem?
    Many thanks!
    - Grace

Here's what I came up with. Tested a little, so make sure you have a backup.
It will ask you for the new address, then change all the work addresses of the selected contacts.
Open Applescript Editor and create a new Application.
Paste in this script and save it. When you need to change a company address, select all the contacts that need to be changed and run the application.
    -- get new address
set newStreet to text returned of (display dialog "Enter new Street Address" default answer "" buttons {"Cancel", "Enter"} default button "Enter")
if newStreet is not "" then
set newCity to text returned of (display dialog "Enter new City" default answer "" buttons {"Cancel", "Enter"} default button "Enter")
if newCity is not "" then
set newState to text returned of (display dialog "Enter new State" default answer "" buttons {"Cancel", "Enter"} default button "Enter")
if newState is not "" then
set newZip to text returned of (display dialog "Enter new Zip" default answer "" buttons {"Cancel", "Enter"} default button "Enter")
if newZip is not "" then
-- all values entered, but not validated
                                            tell application "Contacts"
                                                      set thePeople to selection
                                                      repeat with aPerson in thePeople
                                                                set workAddress to {}
set theAddresses to (the addresses of aPerson)
                                                                repeat with anAddress in theAddresses
-- if there are multiple work addresses, this will change the last
if the label of anAddress is "work" then
                                                                                    set workAddress to anAddress
                                                                          end if
                                                                end repeat
                                                                if workAddress is {} then
-- no work address found, create new
                                                                          set workAddress to make new address at end of addresses of aPerson with properties {label:"work", street:newStreet, city:newCity, state:newState, zip:newZip}
                                                                else
      -- change existing work address
                                                                          set properties of workAddress to {label:"work", street:newStreet, city:newCity, state:newState, zip:newZip}
                                                                end if
                                                      end repeat
                                                      save
                                            end tell
                                  end if
                        end if
              end if
    end if

  • Restore an earlier document version -- Cannot see "my last edits" button for documents

    Dear all,
My environment is Sharepoint 2013 Standard.  On a test document library I have versioning turned off. According to this article, I should be able to restore my modified document back to previous version:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/office365-sharepoint-online-enterprise-help/manage-document-versions-in-skydrive-pro-HA103158256.aspx
I just follow the instruction but I just cannot see the button "my last edits" or "UNDO CHANGES" anywhere. I am not sure what went wrong ...
    Thanks for any input.
    Mark

    Victoria,
    Thanks for your reply.
I am testing in an internal environment so I did not deploy any 3rd party app. Just in case I installed the SP2013 sp1 released last month.
On step 2, user B entered his OneDrive but there is no "Shared with Me" only "Followed documents".  (I think it is a feature not yet released. By search "Shared with me" in this forum I can see a number of people have same
    problem with me, e.g.
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/2735e683-2cc2-4c33-beb3-2f27daa97698/sharepoint-sharing-shared-with-me-missing-in-skydrive-and-shared-files-are-inaccessible?forum=sharepointadmin)
Anyway, it is not important here. User B browse to user A's OneDrive by type in URL like
http://mysitehost/my/userA/Documents/ and able to see and edit the document shared at step 1. User B edit it.
On step 3, user A entered his OneDrive but he cannot preview it (I think it is because I did not deploy OWA for my environment?). In the prompt up box, I cannot see "undo changes" as previous trials.
I am thinking "undo changes" actually not ready? Just like "Shared with me".  Maybe the article have missed some configuration requirement. Thanks for follow up!

  • Still no edit button in Contacts

I have tried reinstalling, to no avail... the edit options are greyed out as well... so no command key workaround... though my wife's contact app works correctly on her account... something with the install or a preference... just don't know where to look... did the get info thing...

Try this: After Lion upgrade, my addressbook does not work++
Also, it is extremely rare that an Application will get corrupted, so trying to re-install it to fix problems will likely fail.
It is usually the data that causes the problems, and it is not stored in the Application.

  • Cancel button for contact & calendar

If I begin to make changes to a calendar or contact entry, and decide that I don't want to continue with the changes, there appears to be no way to cancel/discard the edits. I've tried backswipe & throw card away, but both save the changes.
Anyone know how to do this?
If not, Palm, do you have any plan to add this functionality?
Post relates to: Pre Plus p101vzw (Verizon)

To edit a calendar event you have to tap to open it, this places you in edit mode, from this view (edit) you would tap the drop-down menu and select delete event. I am not sure what more you would want to do with an canledar event.
