Lost edit function in Music with iOS 8 (iPad 2)?

Have downloaded iOS 8 on iPad 2 and amongst other annoying bugs, this one is a BIG problem. I can no longer edit my playlists in Music. The Edit option is there, but it is greyed out. I teach Zumba & often need to do a last minute edit to a playlist for teaching & can't do it via my computer if I'm on site.
Have done all the regular stuff - complete reboot, checked all settings I could find related to Music, searched here for an answer. No joy. Anyone else having this problem?

UPDATE: Ok, so have discovered that the playlists stored directly in 'Playlists' can be edited as normal. But the ones where I have created a folder of playlists cannot be edited (eg. Playlists/Classes/List 2014 vs Playlists/List 2014).

It appears to be working in my Safari 5.1.7 on Windows 7 64-bit.
What computer are you using and which version of Safari?
Also, what's the text of the "JavaScript" error?

I've just upgraded my iPad 2 to iOS 6.0 and have lost the YouTube that came with iOS 5.1 Help?

I have only had my iPad2 with ios 5.1 a few months but already had several videos stored with the YouTube app that came with iOS 5.1.
I have just upgraded to ios 6 and appear to have lost this App.
What has happened?
Can I get it back, along with my stored videos?
I did sync my iPad with my PC and so there may be copies there, but not being computer literate, I would not want to transfer them from the PC to the iPad with any risk of losing them, assuming that the YouTube App transfers with it or that I can download a YouTube aPp for ios 6.
Any advice on this aspect of the problem would be much appreciated.

IPhone 5 not syncing music with iOS 7.

ok. so i have 12000 songs on my itunes. most are CD burns or mp3/m4a files and equals about 50GB of music. they have fully synced and worked on my iphone 5 with iOS 6 and my ipod classic 120GB in the past without fail. however, since upgrading to itunes 11.1 and iOS 7, it will sync all songs but gets stuck saying "waiting for items to be copied." i has done this over night (ie: begun sync process at 8pm. all songs synced by 11pm. waiting for items to be copied still displayed at 7 am following morning.) i then clicked cancel sync as i had to go to work. in my music library on the phone it has about 75% of the songs there. the rest are greyed out.
after this i got home and plugged the phone into itunes and it showed the 50GB of music as other (meaning corrupted files on the phone) so i removed all music from itunes library then put it all back in plus rwstored the iphone and did a resync. same issue. gets stuck on either "waiting for items to be copied" or "waiting for changes to be applied." checked next morning and still stuck on that message.
any suggestions on how to fix?

Yes. I seem to have fixed it, but not really. I erased all music from phone, and then manually managed a resynced eveything I wanted back on there. Interstingly, it didn't work the first two time and said (waiting to make changes) so I was freaking out. But the third time was the ticket and now we are good. Unfortunately, there is a bug, and until there is a real fix, my music that I have in itunes on my computer is not easy to get to the phone. It seems that many people have had the exact same issue since the updates. Hopefully it will fix itself in the next update. Thanks for help though.

Why am I forced to be connected to internet in order to listen to purchased music with iTunes on iPad? I have wifi only iPad.

I tried listening to my music with my wi-fi only ipad on iTunes while driving my car. iTunes said I needed to be connected to the Internet in order to find the iTunes store. I don't want the iTunes store, I just want to listen to my music on iPad. Can I bypass the need to be connected and just get to the music? If not..... WHY NOT????

You don't need the internet to listen to your music. You're probably trying to access the iTunes store app, you need to go to the iPod app, and that is where your music will be if you have synced it over from your computer or purchased it directly.

Thanks for the question. With the introduction of iOS 7 we introduced a new "Show All Music" feature. Utilizing this feature, you can view all of your past iTunes Store purchases right from your Music application. These songs are not locally stored on your device, but are available for re-download from iTunes in the Cloud.
If you wish to turn off this feature, you can do so from your Settings application:
Just show music that’s been downloaded from iCloud. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music.

Playing music with iOS 7

When I was using the ios 6, when I open a playlist, I put it on shuffle and when i play it on the lock screen, it will continue the shuffle in that playlist. But, when i upgraded my iphone to ios 7, when i play the music on the lock screen, it plays music on shuffle of ALL the songs in my phone. Is there a way to change it so I can play songs on shuffle from a particular playlist from my lock screen?

I will also confirm the behavior, valeriefromperth and steveholroyd - music play from the lockscreen keeps defaulting to playing across the entire library. It's a huge step backwards in iOS7.
What I am seeing in the lockscreen control center when I play a song from my desired playlist is the song title, artist, and album. But, if I stop playing music for a while, somehow the OS or music app seems to forget what was playing. Then, the lock screen control center does not show any song title/artist/album information, and starting music playing at that point results in a selection from across all the songs on the phone, rather than the previously-played playlist.
I had fully up-to-date iOS 6 on my phone before the upgrade; this behavior did not occur before the upgrade to iOS 7.

So apparently that function has died with iOS 7.

Edit function in instant client ?

I've installed the Instant Client on my Fedora Core 3 pc,
but I can't seem to get the edit function to work with an external editor, or load files i created using vi. Where do I put my files, or what config file do I have to change to be able to use the edit function?
PS: I'm connecting to an oracle server located at my school

Apparently I hit the tiny tabs in the top left that collapse/expand all the options.
Have all the functions back now. But, where do you explain that stuff ??

Internal server error while connecting SAP's customer financial fact sheet with iOS device

I am trying to connect SAP's customer financial fact sheet latest ( version 3.7) with iOS phone/iPAD (version 7.1) but it shows internal server error,
when trying to connect Neither "Gateway (direct)" nor "SMP Cloud" enabled with port 80/443.
On other hand my android devices with this app is working ok.

are these LUNs shared or standalone?
I don't think it's really wise to have more than one DSM on the same server, so you're mixing the EVA and 3par DSMs and on 2003...
other than ensuring that HBA firmware and drivers are all up to date and DMS drivers are at the latest, not much else you can do from the host side...maybe update the storport.sys driver to the latest for that OS
are you sure that the HBAs are in fact supported/compatible with both storage back-ends? what about their driver/firmware/DSM versions - some SANs are very picky when it comes to this stuff, check the interop matrixes to find out
overall, if you don't need SAN connection to one of these storage back-ends, I suggest you get rid of it and its DSM

Now remove all your info and update the old AppleiD/iTunes account and use only that account.
You cannot transfer items between iTunes accounts.
You can redownload all the content.
