Lost Effects Tab In The Browser !

I have seen this problem mentioned in the past but never taken any notice.
I have got the Effects tab and window back in FCE 4 by trashing the preferences but wondered if there was a less drastic way of doing it?

I managed to find a 3 year old answer by VJK.
Window>Effects and drag the tab into the Browser.

You cannot drag the effects themselves to the timeline. You add them to a clip in the Viewer, just as you have done.
If the clip was already in the timeline when you opened it in the Viewer (by double-clicking it in the timeline to open it in the Viewer) and then added the reverb effect, there is nothing further to do, you have added the effect to the clip. You don't drag it back to the timeline.
You only have to drag the clip to the timeline if the clip was not already in the timeline (for example, if you opened the clip from the FCE Browser; or set different In and Out points in a master clip to use a different portion of the master clip in a different location in your timeline).
Depending on the effect you add, you may have to render the timeline after adding the effect. But I don't think reverb requires immediate rendering. One other note, you said you were working with an audio clip ... audio clips need to be AIFF (not MP3 or something else) and preferably 16-bit stereo.

Theres no effects in effects tab at the top

There arent any effects in the effect tab at the top of affter effects it just has matte,last effect,remove effect and effect controls.

Well in my menu effects there is only effect controls,Last effect,remove all and matte. And whats the Render engine?

There are also 2 warning when i open up after effects:
Metadata browser is missing
You have at least one output module template that refers to a missing output plug-in. Please check your Output Module Templates.
It also try to install "file formats and effects" but never finishes and tell me to restart after effects for it to take effect but nothing happens and it start the process above again.

How to remove the "Image Mask" labels under the effects tab in the Inspector window

I'm still trying to find my way round Final Cut Pro X after using Final Cut Express for many years. I don't know how I have manage to finish up with two Image Masks being set under the effects tab in the Inspector window. The Image Mask effects are not active (the box adjacent to the label is not blue) How can I remove the Image Mask label from the Effects tab in the Inspector window?

Opening new tabs makes the browser window wider

when opening a new tab in safari
it makes the browser window bigger (at the bottom)
but not only at the bottom actually
after a few close-open's it also starts growing at the top
and for me it's unacceptable cause there are folders that i need fulltime access to (at the top)
is there a way (a script) to prevent safari "grow" and make the browser window bigger in a while ?
i don't really know why is it happening because if you press cmd+t it opens a new tab and the browser window kinda slides bigger at the bottom but then if you press cmd+w it does the opposite and the browser window stays the same size after those actions
i can't follow but after some time it starts to be bigger not only at the bottom
it grows til the dock and then starts growing at the top
is there a way to prevent that ?
i mean take opera for example. it always stays the same size and new opened tabs take the "inside space" if you know what i mean. the browser window doesn't get bigger. there is space allocated especially for tabs
i like safari but it is very important for me that it stays the same size all the time
i have all windows and folders situated exactly where i want them and if something moves and covers other items, it gets uncomfortable

Yes, it sounds like this is the cause.
Some pop-up window code forces the new window to be a certain size. Since it's intended to open in a new window, that normally wouldn't cause problems. But you're forcing the pop-up to open as a new tab in the current window, which causes the current window to be resized to that new page's defined size.

Firefox closes when i close the first tab of the browser using latest version 10.0 release.

I open many tabs on firefox, many times when I close the first tab, the entire window closes, and I have to reopen the browser. When I try that many times I get a message saying something like "Firefox is running Cannot open another window". When I checked the Task Manager I see firefox.exe and plugin-container.exe running. but the firefox is nowhere to be seen. Once I "End Task" these two, I can start firefox. This thing happens many times

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

How to open the url in a new tab of the Browser

Am using jdev 11.1.1.2.1
I have a commandLink in a jsff page and on click of that i want to open a new tab with the url given in the action listener.
I have the action listener code below:
FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
ExternalContext ectx = fctx.getExternalContext();
Url="/faces/Home.jspx";
ectx.redirect(Url);
For now it is redirecting in the same window and so wen i press the back button in the browser the session gets invalidated ,
so i want to open it in a new tab.

Hi,
You can try using "goLiink" and then use the property targetFrame set to "_blank"; below are some for ur references:
targetFrame
_blank: The link opens the document in a new window.
_parent: The link opens the document in the window of the parent. For example, if the link appeared in a dialog window, the resulting page would render in the parent window.
_self: The link opens the document in the same page or region.
_top: The link opens the document in a full window, replacing the entire page.

Portal cookie timeout issue in Tabs within the Browser IE

Hi Experts,
We have Portal and Backend configured as SSO.
Once I logged with Quality Portal ,a ticket is generated, and when I open another tab to login to production portal my quality portal ticket is inconsistent and I get the login screen on applications.
If I open in a new browser window the issue is not there.
Hope the cookie generated has the uniqueness for the system but why it is not controlled within TABS of the brower (internet explorer 7).
Let me know how to override this.

In question to your suggestion, as per note 701205, I'm going to test this parameter 'ume.logon.security.relax_domain.level' to cut which should carry the uniqueness of the system.
Let me know you tried that parameter and any suggestions on this.

I've just installed Cisco Jabber 10.5.1 and I don't want the drop-down tab option showing at the top of my screen. It blocks tabs in the browser window and is simply in the way. Is there a way to remove or move this elsewhere?

I have lost my tabs for the umpteenth time. Session restore only works if your kids hit the restore button. Otherwise, a new session gets started. FRUSTRATED!!!

Even though I have my settings set to the "correct" settings to hopefully prevent the lost tabs problem, you still have to be careful in order to prevent the loss of tabs. I have lost all my research again and again... If for whatever reason FF gets closed the wrong way, and then the "restore session" button doesn't get clicked when you re-open, and then you happen to open any further tabs, suddenly you can never get back to all your previous tabs.
I have scoured the internet for solutions to this problem, looked for ways to get them back, and ways to prevent this from occurring. I Have set my browser to the recommended settings. I have tried to restore my sessions. I don't understand WHY cannot the tab feature be made easy to save????
I get all these tabs set up... and then, WHAM! suddenly they evaporate, never to be seen again.
love the Tab system. It's visual. It's relatively easy to navigate. I don't forget they are there, and they are effortless to create...unlike bookmarks.
Why in the world can't I give a tab group a name and then have it be permanently available, like a group of bookmarks that I can create and access at will?
Why must it be that I have to search the internet for ways to restore them, and then the recommendations are geared only to computer literate people able to extract them from the bowels of their computer memory in some obscure and confusing procedure?!?
I have looked at and installed numerous add-ons in the hopes of solving this problem and have not found a satisfactory solution. It seems like there are tons of other people out there who wish for this exact same thing, What is the hang-up with this???

Firefox has the ability to bookmark all open tabs, in each window separately. It's not a "session manager", but if it's the same set of tabs you want opened at the same time all the time, you might consider using that feature. 
Right-click a tab and select '''Bookmark All Tabs...''' and then give the folder a name. When you want to open all those tabs simply middle-click that folder or right-click that folder and select '''Open All in Tabs'''.

Creating a new tab on the browser, how can i it isn't working now?

Before mozilla changing their browser, I could click the + sign at the top of the page and a new tab would appear. Now I do that and nothing appears. I do not want several browsers on my screen, I like the multi-tab option. That way I can switch back and forth from the different screens and complete my work much easier. Someone mentioned clicking on a link and right clicking but I dont always have a link to click to do that and that option doesn't always appear when I right click. Please help. Hi and good afternoon. Since I upgraded to FF4, the tear-off tab feature has been driving me INSANE. I don't want the feature at all and have no use for it, and it is especially irritating not only because it is so sensitive--it is literally making it nigh impossible for me to work--but because there seems to be nothing I can do about it. I'm stuck with it by default with no option to disable it. It's even opening the tabs I have set as app tabs in new windows, and constantly.
I never had this problem with previous browser versions, and '''I have tried installing the bug489729 add-on''', but it's not working, perhaps because I also use Tab Mix Plus (I saw a post from someone suggesting they may be incompatible).
I implore you to fix this. It's horrible and maddening. Please.
