Lost emails after iCloud move

after my move to iCloud I have lost all my .mac/.me emails on my powerbook that were not stored in folders yet how can i get them back??? HELP

Here is my last suggetion... you said you have TimeMachine... (and if you want you can ichat with me, my email is in my profile)...Open your time machine... according to this...  http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=384972 your mail is stored in this file... I am thinking if your able to look... look only... looking.... not actually doing any restoring from this location.... just looking.... and if it is there.. (before consider to restore).then restore this folder from before you lost the email... that means you would have to first make a backup of this file, before actually recovering this file from timemachine. I am not comfortable with you restoring it, because if it not the correct thing, then this will make matters worse... wait to some one who knows more answeres.... but if your able to look with timemachine.... look only... then do that (not restore).

  • How to restore lost emails after iphone iOS 5.0 upgrade

iOS5.0 upgrade f***ed up everything on my phone and all text messages, emails, & apps are gone.  restored apps manually, but no obvious way to restore txt messages & emails.  could care less about the messages, but need the emails.
    How?

Emails from iCloud cannot be lost.
Emails from other accounts are not backed up via iCloud, only the settings for those accounts.

  • TS4002 Lost email on iCloud

I have been losing various pieces of email on my IOS devices and my iMac. Yesterday, I received an important message on my iPhone. I did not read it, and it is possible it was accidentally deleted, however, my email on iCloud does not permanently delete for 1 month, so it, at least, should have been in my trash folder.
Has anyone experienced this? Is there anyway to recover missing mail?

If you mean to change your default email address to @icloud.com, read here under "In iOS 6": http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5441.

  • Outlook 2010 won't send email after a move of the .pst file.

I moved the pst file from an external drive to C:. When I restarted outlook, it asked where the file was located. After selecting the pst file in the new location, it all appeared fine. The mail was there and could be read and new mail was received. However,
it was soon discovered that the outbox was piling up and no mail could be sent. I have tried creating a new profile as suggested in other help articles, but this simply created a new and different pst and mail structure. How can I get the old one to be
    able to send mail again?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi,
What type of account are you using? POP3 or IMAP?
You mentioned you created a new profile to setup the account, can you send emails with the new profile?
If issue persists, some security program and firewall may cause the sent mail stuck in Outbox issue, please disable the firewall and anti-virus program to test the result again.
We can also run Outlook in Safe Mode to determine if 3rd-party add-ins caused this issue:
Press Win + R and type “outlook.exe /safe” in the blank box, then press Enter.
If there’s no problem in Safe Mode, disable the suspicious add-ins to verify which add-ins caused this issue.
In case the .pst file was damaged during the move, we can also run scanpst.exe to repair the .pst file, test if this helps:

  • Attachments missing from emails after iCloud sync

    Hi there
I am running Outlook 2010 in Windows 7 Home premium to access a POP mail address. I have created rules on Outlook to forward my emails from the POP account into the relevant IMAP folders of my @icloud.com account which enables me to access my emails on an iPhone and iPad.
This system has been running smoothly for some time, however I have recently noticed a problem that has developed over the last month or so:
Every now and then, attachments on emails that I have received do not sync onto my peripheral devices ie. the iPhone and iPad.
This is not specific to a particular sender or file type and seems to occur at random.
When I view the email in Outlook, and via the iCloud web interface the attachment is there and can be viewed/downloaded etc.
The attachments are only missing from the iPad and iPhone. Has anybody ever encountered an issue like this? Perhaps there is something that I am overlooking?
    Thanks in advance

Well. I make an export Archive from iCal.
Then deactivate from the iPhone (Adjusts - iCloud) the Calendars.
For now, I will not use iCloud for calendars. I do not understand why we end with two Calendars. One from iCloud and one from the iPhone or the Mac itselves.
We must have just ONE calendar for all.
I use CalAlarm app from Devart and with the iPhone icon selected on iTunes I had to uncheck and check on Information label Sincronize Calendars of iCal.

  • Lost space after glitched movie download

I downloaded a movie I had purchased in iTunes a long while ago to my iPhone 5.  It seemed to glitch and was stuck in processing.  I attempted to reset the download and it seemed to do the same for a while then completed.  I deleted it.  I did a hard reset on my phone (pressing power button and front button) and I still seem to have lost several gig to a corrupted file I am guessing.  Deleting the 2nd download shows that it is not on my phone; however, when I add up the space used by apps it seems to correspond to what I saw my original available space was.  Has anyone else experienced this?  I do not back up to iTunes I just use the cloud for apps and pull all pictures off.  I do not want to do a reset all data option as I would loose text messages etc.  Is there a fix to this?  I find this unacceptable that the OS would not free up glitched files on its own.  If it created some type of temp file it should be removed by the OS.
I did not know how much the iOS takes up space wise.  Does anyone know?  I seem to have lost around 2-3 gig.
    Iphone 5, ios 7.1.2 32 gig
    Thanks!

You can try the basic troubleshooting steps. But if they don't work, you know what you have to resort to already.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Video> look for the movie in there. If it is in there form whatever reason - delete it. Swipe across It in the list or use the edit button.
Sometimes just a simple sync can help, but you make it sound like you are not near your computer, so I don't know if that is an option for you right now.

  • Lost emails after iOS5 update

My update to iOS5 went ok with the exception that I lost around 90% of my emails on my iPod touch.  The only emails still on my touch are from within the past week or so.
Anyone else experience this?  Is there any way to get them back on my iPod?

When I did the update, it appeared to do a full restore at that time (took a few hours), so would restoring again give any different result?

  • Help: 'lost' emails after upgrade from 10.3

I just completed an upgrade to 10.4.6, and every thing seems to be working, however about a months worth of my latest email don't seem to be imported properly into the inbox in mail.
When you click on the message you get "The message from So and So <[email protected]> concerning “RE: Happy New Year!” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it." But all my accounts are on line.
When I search for the message Spotlight finds it, and I can then move it to inbox - where it then shows as another copy, but one that works. While this is a workable solution, I have to do it for every email so I'd like a better fix.
Emails before about Dec 12 don't seem to be effected.
    Any Ideas? .. thanks.

Try using Disk Utility to repair disk permissions, then open Mail.app and pull down the mail menu and use the syncronize item, then try the rebuild item. This should resolve the problem.

  • Lost emails in iCloud

This morning, all my email from November 2011 to the present.
Any advice on how to get a whole year's worth of emails back into the cloud?

To verify, use a computer's browser and log into icloud.com.  Look at the email page.  If they are missing then somehow they were deleted.  If there, then your devices are not getting the emails properly.  Try removing the icloud account in the mail app and redefining it.  The emails should come back (assuming your are using the right ID/password).
Another thing to check on an iOS device, Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars.  Under "Mail", what is the setting for "Show"?  You may have the number set too low.  On a mac's Mail program, check its preferences.

  • Cannot access my new emails after 2/16/15 in my inbox--why not and how can I get the new ones I know I have?

Somehow the internet and my phone crashed. Called Vonage who reset everything so both phone and internet work, but I have lost emails after 2/16/15.

  • HT4898 So, the emails I have not deleted from my mac will not be available after I move to iCloud?

So, the emails I have not deleted from my macbook will not be available after I switch to iCloud?
Also, I have an iPhone4 and an original iPad.  Will these, along with my macbook, still be compatible?  IE synched?

That is incorrect, archive them now and restore them later, if they are Mobile Me emails they will move to iCloud without you doing anything, but you should still archive them first.

  • HT5330 If I move from Mac/Mobile Me email to iCloud, will my current account's email vanish?

Probably a silly question. I am running Snow Leopard and for a couple of days have not been able to send mail from my long-time Apple email account.  I have started the move from Mac/Mobile Me email to iCloud, when all I really need is to enable the iCloud SMTP server, I think.
When  I was a few steps into the move, I reached the point where I had to either "continue" with my current email address/password, or create a new email account   If I follow Apple's direction and "add" an account with my core user info, will I end up with "my" account as iCloud, but with my current account's email "vanished?"
I go back far enough that my Apple user name is not an email address, and my email address is dot.Mac, and I'd like to keep it that way, but right now I just want to be able to "send."  Since my problem began I have been writing and then saving emails on my iMac, then opening them on my iPad or iPhone and sending the emails from those devices.  Thank heaven for IMAP!!!!
    Thanks,
    Laura

[email protected] [email protected] and [email protected] are all the same thing: emails to all three go to the same inbox. You must presumably have gone through the migration process from MobileMe to iCloud before 1 August last, or you would have lost access to the account. However if you didn't set up Mail for the different iCloud server settings I wouldn't have expected to go on working this long.
In any case, I would suggest you delete the account from Mail (this won't delete anything on the server) and set it up again from scratch following the process described in this illustrated article:
Entering iCloud email settings manually in Snow Leopard or Leopard
