Lost functionality and some speed with upgrade.. anyone else?
I noticed that many instances where I would like to use speech (text read feature) the option to do that is missing from the menu. Can I use the feature somehow whenever I want in any web browser? I also noticed my computer was runnning VERY slow and offloaded a lot of video to increase my available storage space. Is it possible that the Clean you Mac software helps too though?

Have lost Contacts and messages after bad upgrade, anyone had the same?
Took most of the day to install the new software upgrade, it kept failing. Now I have no contacts or messages. Has anyone else had the same problem or know how to fix? there is a terrible lag now too
Yep I lost all my contacts and texts. I tried to restore but the only option to restore from was the latest backup which included having no contacts and text. You would think they could offer the last 5 or so should you need to restore a reliable version.
I've talked to support and they said if it wasn't back up by Outlook or Google then it's gone. I got all my music, videos, tv shows, apps, and pictures. No contact or text. Unfortnately, some dropped the ball on this risk. Hopefully they will learn and do better next time.
One piece of encouragement, after having no texts, one came in yesterday morning. I read it and responded and when I went to the main text areas they had all reappeared. Unfortunately, since there are no contact names, I am looking at numbers which are unfamiliar to me. But it's something to dig in to. Hope another something simple will trigger the return of the contacts. I just don't know where to rub the lamp to get the genie to come out. -

Hi, my name is Fernando and i`m BrazilianFist of all I need to say: i hated Lollipop 5.1.If have a way to downgrade to 4.4.4 I`ll do it.But this could be impossible so I have a few questions and wishes:1 - The audio in Lollipop is terrible and unstable. Music stops a little at diverse moments, mainly when I turn off the display. This is very annoying. I hope At&t fix this soon2 - The Apps are slower. Text Message and Chrome takes a lot of time to open. Some times it stops for a few seconds until works again. It`s something like a "lag" or delay.NOTE: I erase my Moto X three times after updating and this issues still happens.3 - Proximity Sensor is out!!! WHY?!?!! I loved this feature and with Lollipop just haven`t anymore? Please! Bring it to us again!Best Regards=/

Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If that doesn't work...
To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

After upgrading to iOs 5.1 the AV composite cable don't work, appear a message: the device is not compatible with iPad2, anyone else had this problem or have a solution for it?
Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons together for 10+ seconds, ignoring the red power-off slider, until you see the Apple logo. It is safe to do, there should be no content loss. It is the same as rebooting your computer.
If that does not work, restore the iPad to the factory settings. -
I have installed OS X Mavericks on macbook pro, macbook air & iMac but I am having terrible trouble with apple Mail. I need to take all accounts online frequently OR worse I have to quit mail and restart computer. Is anyone else having problems?
I just checked to see if the update to OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 solved any of the issues outlined in my previous post, and to my dismay, nothing has changed -- all of the previous problems persist.
My iMac (8) -- it's renamed itself eight times since the recent troubleshoot with the Apple tech rep -- shows up as a shared device in Finder on my MacBook Pro, but when I click on it, I cannot establish a connection using "Connect As". So I've attempted to connect using the menu "Go/Connect to Server...", using both (alternately) the iMac's name and IP address, to no avail. I get a message which reads: "There was a problem connecting to the server 'Peter's iMac (8)'. This server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again."
Here's what I know:
The server -- Peter's iMac (8) does exist;
The server -- Peter's iMac (8) is available at this time;
The server name -- Peter's iMac (8) -- is correct, as specified in the system sharing preferences;
The server IP address is correct, as specified in the system sharing preferences;
The network connection is active when I attempt to connect.
I'm convinced the problems stem directly from the OS X Yosemite update. None of this was ever remotely an issue in the previous OS X's -- any of them. This is maddening! What can be done? Apple?? Anyone??? -

I downloaded ios 6 for my iPad 2 and some of the upgrades went through but not all. It sounds like I need to reinstall ios 6. How do you do that? Everytime I try to upgrade it says I'm already updated
If you mean Siri then that is only on the iPad 3, it is not on the iPad 2 in iOS 6 (possibly because the iPad 2 doesn't have the Audience chip which the iPad 3 does). If there are other things that you think are missing (YouTube has been removed, and Passbooks is iPhone and iPod Touch only) ?

What did you upgrade? There is no such thing as iOS X, there is iOS and OS X. iOS is for iphones, ipads, and ipods and OS X is the Mac operating system.

Well, if they have truly disappeared then something is really messed up. For really messed up stuff, you need to set it to factory default condition, and then afterwards, restore it from your backup.

This software update keeps popping up almost everyday in my iMac 27 although I keep updating. Looks like the either the update is not happening on my machine or some other problem. Anyone else know of this? Everytime I check for updates (I have the setting to manual check), an alert pops up in Apple store with the phrase "Lexmark Printer Software Update 2.11" available for download.
Is there a way I can turn off this notification for Printer updates until it is resolved? It is pretty annoying.

I have had over 5 time out err-3259 trying to update my Ipad 2 on my imac from last night and all this morning. Anyone else having this issue? It is definitely not my internet connection etc. Right in the end at 99% this error message comes out. Help
