Lost ID or password during update to Ios 5.0
I just updated to lost 5.0 in the process lost many installed app, however the most critical issue is that the Apple ID or email or password changed automatically. I can't login... Any suggestions?

Hi I also have this problem. Sound was only working on the headphones and also on the volume slider in the settings app. Everywhere else I get no sound and no volume slider. Now the headphones don't work either.
(I'm using an ipad 2 iOS 6.1.2)
And NO it's not muted. I've reset all settings and restarted the iPad. Been searching forums for a couple days. Some say its a dirty docking port problem, others suggest a Skype or other app update that could be the problem.

As Lawrence Finch suggests you can recover more recent information if you have a more recent iCloud backup.
To avoid this problem in the future you should check the iTunes settings when your phone is connected. Make sure iTunes is not set to sync automatically when your iPhone is connected. Another step to take is to give your new iPhone a unique name that is different from your old iPhone. Finally, the best way to charge an iPhone is to use the charger that came with the iPhone and plug that into a good wall outlet. -

Actually, if you have never backed up your iPhone with iTunes or iCloud manually, there are still possibilities that iTunes or iCloud has backed up your iPhone automatically: every time you sync the iPhone with iTunes, iTunes will back up your iPhone automatically; if your iCloud backup was enabled, every time your iPhone is connected with Wifi and a power source with screen-locked, iCloud will create a backup automatically. If you find the backups, but the backups are not up to date, and you don’t want to lose the data generated after the backups, you can extract the lost data from the backups using the iPhone backup extractor.
In addition, you can also try to use the iPhone data recovery software to scan and recover the data on your iPhone directly even if you have no backups of your iPhone. -

Have the same problem, ipad3 io6 installed last week service provider sun cellular data plan , very hard to detect 3G signal even 3G signal available in that location even you reset network setting it only set to edge connection, switching my micro sim to my old iPad 1 with ios5 detect easily 3G signal.

Every single step is taken into account like admin rights, running Itunes in admin mode etc. etc.
Still its not possible to update the iOS 4.2.1 into iOS 4.3.3 on an IPad 1.

Clicked on the newest update and The phone asked for a password since I use the thumb scan for my password I do not have a password, Im stuck, What do I do?
You do have a password/passcode. If you didn't, you couldn't use the Touch ID for that feature. You didn't lose the password/passcode. You forgot it. Huge difference.
Is it asking for your Apple ID password or your device Lock Passcode?
If Apple ID password, go to iforgot.apple.com and reset it.
If device Lock Passcode, use this: Forgot passcode - Apple Support -
Wrong password while updating to IOS 7.1.2
Hello everyone,
So on the day it has happened it was all ok in the morning, I put in my password and the iPad did unblock. I did some stuff on the internet and then I saw a suggestion to update to a new IOS 7.1.2. I clicked on the update button and then it asked me for my password. I assumed that it should be my normal apple ID password, however the keyboard did not have letters, I mean I could only insert numbers. So then I thought that maybe it requires my normal 4 digit password which I use to unlock the iPad. So I typed it in and then my iPad said: "Wrong password" I tried again and again it would not work. So now my iPad is blocked and I cannot unblock it with my password.
Then I have decided to try to update my iPhone as well to see if i get the same problem and it did. Though I could unblock my iPhone with a 4 digit password I stopped using ages ago. Which seems to be very weird as I have changes my password so many times since that one so I have not idea why it has worked.
So my question is, how could this happen, what should I do now considering the fact that I am on holidays and the computer I synced my iPad with is like miles away. Could it be a some kind of virus? Before you ask me if I am sure whether the password is correct or not I wanna say that yes I am 100 percent sure that the password I am trying to use is the one. Maybe someone has that problem as well? Thank you all in advance.

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

Ipad mini will not remember passwords after update to iOS 8.0.2
My ipad used to remember forum user names/passwords but after updating first to ios 8 then to iso 8.02 it no longer remembers them, I have gone to Safari then passwords/auto fill and all of the green sliders are activated.
I tried login on then creating a new short cut but it does not help.....can anyone help?

White Screen of death caused during update of IOS 8.3
My Girlfriend was updating her iPhone 5 to iOS 8.3, A message came in during and she clicked on it. This in turn caused the phone to with to the white screen of death with the apple logo and upload bar paused. We've tried the usual hard re-set, also plugged into iTunes for a factory restore but then it asks for you to click allow on the phone. We can't do this because we can't see anything other than the apple logo.
Every now and then the screen flashes and shows you the home page. and using siri we managed to make a call.
Any help or advise would be great.

That is not a "White Screen of death". That is the reboot screen which the phone does while updating. You should have left it alone. Put the phone in Recovery mode and Restore it in iTunes. -
BB 9330 lost connection then died during update
Was updating bb9330 using bb desktop software. During the install process a dialog box popped up that said: "application loader was unable to connect with your device. Please re-connect your device, enter the password, if required, and click retry."
I did all that and hit "retry" - the blackberry started blinking red and the same dialog box came up again. Then got a dialog box "There was an error updating your software" It told me to disconnect the BB and restart computer and restart the loading process. I did that (and a battery pull while the computer was rebooting.)
I connected the BB to the computer by usb (it was still blinking red.) The update process started again from scratch and while it was installing at the reconnecting to JVM part about halfway through the progress bar I got the same dialog box as before: "application loader was unable to connect with your device. Please re-connect your device, enter the password, if required, and click retry."
I called Verizon TA and they spent about an hour going through all sorts of steps that went nowhere. We could not get the BB to do anything while it was blinking red and showing no display. They told me to plug it into the wall with the charger for an hour and if it was still blinking red to call BB tech support at 877-255-2377.
I called that number and could get nowhere with your automated voice system. NONE of the automated voice system fit my circumstances AND I COULD FIND NO WAY TO CONNECT WITH A REAL LIVE BREATHING HUMAN BEING.
So here I am trying to get some help in getting my Blackberry Curve 9330 to work again.
One lesson I learned was that if a Blackberry is working NEVER run a update. Over my last three years of using Blackberries I have tried running updates twice. The first time they sent me a new phone. Now here I am again.Still nobody from Nokia answered ?

Prompting for family members password during update?
When my iPhone 6 (up to date iOS) tries to update apps, some update but others prompt me for the password for my daughters iTunes account. Never used family sharing, never synced on computer using her account or vice versa. Very annoying, please help!
I'm not keen on deleting and re-installing since I use one a lot and am afraid I'll lose all my progress/data.
thanks!!If it is prompting your daughter password, then some how you download her apps on your phone.
Only way to resolve that is to delete the app and install it with your apple id.
