Lost in device software release + french language pack ???

Hi there !
Can someone please clarify to me what the latest BB software release is for my Curve ?
I had RL 5 beginning os the year, which was in French (Do not remember if it was the default, or If I installed it myself and from where).
few days ago, I broke the screen and got a replacement BB, also RL5, but in English.
I wanted French, so I have installed "Blackberry 6 OS = multilanguage" ... but the only available languages I have are English US, English UK, portugal, ...), but not french (?!?!?)
So is the "Blackberry 6 OS" successor of "Blackberry Device software 5.0" ?
Is this "Blackberry 6 OS" available in French ?
It is a BB I got from my company, with "enterprise" subscription", so that I can get my mails.
My provider is Prosimus in Belgium.

Mass deployment of French Language Pack to 100+ SurfaceRT 8.1 devices

Hi,
Has anyone been able to download the French Language pack separately (or any language pack for that matter) - store it on a USB stick and do a mass install to a number of SurfaceRT devices?
I see you have the option to download the language pack for some languages but not French or the major languages out there -

Wondering if there is also a way to install on SurfaceRT - use that as a golden image and deploy to another 100 other SurfaceRT devices - I see it does have sysprep there. Anyone tried?

Hi Daniel,
There is a solution to retrieve the language pack, although I'm not sure it is a method that can find approval of Microsoft.
With an network analysis tool like Wireshark, or Fiddler, performing the step that is described in the post, by Kelvin. You can retrieve the actual URL of the CAB file that will be downloaded. This way you can copy and paste the URL in your internet browser
and download the actual CAB file.
The CAB file can then be injected in the operating system with DISM, with the following command:
DISM /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:"<path to package>\filename.cab"
This can be automated, and distributed to your clients in any way you wish.
Also, it can be embedded when creating your image you use for deployment.

Add French language pack to Curve 8520

Dears,
I recently updated my device (Curve 8520) software to version 5.0.0.1036, since then I don't have French in my languages anymore.
When trying to add this with the Desktop Manager, the language is not mentioned in the Application List.
Can someone help me to add the French pack to my device?

the language packs are included in the OS installer. Whatyou need to do is find an OS that contains the french language pack.
You can look at the french carriers (Orange France, Vodafone SFR, Bouygues Telecom) or European carriers (like Vodafone DE or O2).

The Kuler panel not available in Adobe Photoshop CS6 french language pack ????

Why the Kuler panel is not available in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator CS6 french language ???? it's ok when I make an Int. US language install ! can I find the kuler.atn somewhere?
Only the Mini Bridge appears in the extention panel....

and I suppose it's the same in the Canadian law too . So, if I understand you, I buy an incomplete software without any information from Adobe about that !!!!! and you don't alow me to use a complet french version of the software I paid and use on the US country because of a French law that nobody knows neither follow except ADOBE????? can you explain me more because I really don't understand your "no answer" to explain an other bug in your software... Why do you sell it as an incomplet solution at the same price in that case? Just have to inform every users about that and we will baught the US (or other language) versions in place of the french one...

How come when I update Firefox in Ubuntu, the existing french language package is not functional while in Windows, it always works without problems?

When I upgrade Firefox (French, from 13.0 to 13.0.1) in Ubuntu, the existing french language pack does not work, while in Windows 7, it does work without problems. It seems to me that the language pack should be system independent.
This problem happens in Ubuntu everytime there is an upgrade, and it is usually very difficult to find the correct language file that wors in Ubuntu. Again, in Windows, no such problem.
I am puzzled.

You always need to reinstall language packs if you update Firefox because the updater doesn't seem to be able to find them on its own.

Polish Language Pack for 6500 Slide Nokia

Greetings!
I am based in Great Britain and have purchased a Nokia 6500 Slide on a "Pay and Go" sim card on the 02 network in England for my Polish Girlfriend.
The phone only has some European languages and there is no option for the Polish Language. Is there any software/firmware or language packs that I can download to the phone? Any advice gratefully recieved.

French Language Support

With Adobe Reader MUI v10.1.3 selecting Language same as operating system under [Edit][Preferences][internationl][Application Language] switches Adobe to French Language Display when the French Language Pack is selected under Windows 7 Regional Settings. However we are noticing that right-clicking on a PDF within Explorer displays Open with Adobe Reader X in the menu.
Is there a way to ensure the context menu under Explorer displays completely in the language selected?

I am configuring a Thinkpad Edge E520 on the Canadian – English Lenovo online shopping site. I select the English version Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and the French Canadian keyboard.
There is also an option for Language Pack. I can choose between Publication - US English, or Publication – Canadian French
My questions are:
--- What’s the meaning of the word “Publication” in this context?
--- Assuming I want to have an English Windows interface, but use a French keyboard, what will selecting an English of French language pack change in the way I can use my notebook?
--- Will the French language pack allow me to change the Windows interface to French should I eventually want to?
--- Is there any point in selecting the English Language Pack if I already have selected the English version of Windows 7 Home Premium ?
--- Searching the web on this subject, I was under the impression that Language Packs are only available for Windows 7 Ultimate. Is there a special perk here to be able to get another language with Home Premium?

So this Language Pack choice relates to the documentation. That's probably why the word "publication" is in there. So this is a non-issue.
It's not unusual here in Canada to use a french or bilingual keyboard with an english version of Windows (those keyboards are supported in Windows). They make it easier to use special characters such as ç à è é ù that have to be used when writing in french. Canada is a bilingual country.
I could use a french O/S, but all my references are in english, which makes it easier to work with an english O/S.
Actually, the possibility of matching an english O/S with a french keyboard is an additional reason to go with Lenovo. Not all vendors offer this: Toshiba does, but not Dell.

Lost my preinstalled regional language pack on 623...

I'm a new member of this nokia forum and hope to find a solutions as for my stay.
I updated my nokia 6233 firmware which was preinstalled with English, French, Turkish, Spanish, Arabic, Urdo, and persian. After the software update, my phone now doesn't contain Arabic (which is my phone main language)or Urdo or Persian. Is there anyway to reinstall or re-update again in order to recover the language pack? Please i really need at least the Arabic Language! i'll be highly grateful !

Not surprised...Welcome to the club! Not Nokia club but bugs problems and rare solutions...I have the 5.43 software and it says that your code is: 0537451 05.43 RM-145 6233 EURO-C CTV GERMANY BLACK. So I am not sure about arabic language. If you have warranty you should go to service. If not I am sure you can find someone that reinstalls software. The problem with the web updater is that it does not work right. When they do it in the service or people with the right tools they do not update with the CA53 cable but with a different cable that really erases everything. This is the code that has arabic: 0535967 05.43 RM-145 6233 EURO-G CTV ME ARABIC BLACK. Hope it helps!

SCCM deployment Win7 with multi language pack & software update languages

In our company we have a running SCCM infrastructure and deploy Windows 7 x64 (en) with all language packs. Now we integrate the software updates management process into SCCM.
My question is: Do we need to download and synchronize the software updates in all available languages or is English enough?

Hi,
We don’t suggest deploying all language packages in one time. You may deploy default language and let users choose which language
package to install in Windows Update to save the network traffic.
