I recently had to wipe my entire hard drive on my mac book pro and need to reinstall all my adobe software. However, I have lost my install dvds. I do have all my serial numbers. How can I re-install CS4 and Acrobat Pro v9?

2007 MacBook Pro, was shut down properly last PM. Today on startup, spins and spins but cannot get to log in screen. Can't save files, can't get into them. Willing to reinstall without saving, but can't because only disk option for the reinstall showing is the repair disk, and it is showing as locked. What to do?

Sounds like the drive is starting to fail. Have you ever change the drive in that system? If not then it is time to think about doing that, the sooner the better.

You might want to consider starting a new discussion. Since this one is marked solved, less people are likely to look at it. You can link to this one.
Do a backup. Boot the Recovery Partition (command - R on a restart) and run Disk Utility. In the first Aid tab, select the top level hard drive and see if GUID is shown (see below). Run Disk Utility Verify/Repair and Repair Permissions until you get no errors. Then re-install the OS.

I installed a new printer and Acrobat Pro is not listing it as an option in the drop down box. Other apps are working. Printer is networked, platform is Windows.

I've rebooted numerous times, reloaded the software twice, spent 4 hrs on the phone with HP and 2 with Adobe. No luck. Adobe Updater for Acrobat Pro 9.0 FAILS - how can I update??

My company has about a dozen machines that run Acrobat 9.0 Pro on Windows XP sp3, or Windows 7 sp1. In the past few months, I've had to reinstall Acrobat 9.0 on these machines for various reasons. Every single one of them is still at the 9.0 version because Adobe Updater fails to upgrade. Adobe Updater is trying to download Adobe Acrobat 9.2.0 (CPSID_50026) and fails with "This file cannot be verified"
I've also tried downloading and installing AcroProExUpd910, AcroProStdUpd910_T1T2_incr, AcroProStdUpd910_T3T4_incr, AcrobatUpd920_all_incr, AcrobatUpd930_all_incr, AcrobatUpd940_all_incr, and none of them will install. They fail with an error a windows installer error indicating that the path to the program may be missing or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program.
Is there any simple way to fix this so I can update these individual installations???

All of the updates are available at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows. Looks like about 14 updates (lot fewer than all the security updates for Windows though). As I indicated there is a process for combining them into a cummulative update, but that is only something I can mention so that you might look in the old Acrobat forums that is read only and see if it is there. In the enterprise topic they give a link to http://www.adobe.com/go/acrobatitinfo to help in this regard. If you are only doing a few cases, it may not be worth the time to combine, but just put them on a memory stick and go around and install them. Most of them cannot be skipped, but must be installed in order. You should be able to get away with out rebooting between versions and simply wait to the end. That would save a bunch of time.
If the update does not work from the help menu, then the download is your next option as I have indicated. If it works from the help menu it may save you a lot of time, but apparently you are not going to be that lucky.

To print using the HP ePrint Home & Biz app you will need to send the print from the app. AirPrint is built in to the iOS and give you the print option from emails and web pages. AirPrint is not able to work with the OfficeJet pro 8500. Hope this is helpful.

Adobe CS3 Suite -- How to Get InDesign and Acrobat Pro to Install?

I uninstalled and deactivated my Adobe CS3 Design Premium from my 1st gen Macbook (2006) and installed it on my 3rd gen Macbook Air (2011). When I installed CS3 using the original discs, InDesign and Acrobat did not install properly. How to fix?
My questions:
1. Got any ideas how to install InDesign and Acrobat Pro without uninstalling the whole CS3, running the cleaner tool, and reinstalling everything again? I tried to rerun the installer just for InDesign and Acrobat Pro but I got the same result -- no install.
2. Installing CS3 takes forever -- at least several hours. Is it because I'm sending it over my wireless network? (I'm "sharing" the DVD drive on my other Macbook because my Air doesn't have one.)

(More background, in case it's useful -- before installing CS3, I had run the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool to clean up the mess I made when I tried to migrate CS3 using Mac's migration assistant. I learned, thanks to this forum, that I couldn't use the Migration Assistant tomove CS3. I also found that the unistaller didn't transfer, so I manually deleted folders and then used the cleaner. It worked wel enough to allow me to install everything but InDesign and Acrobat Pro.)

This may seem like a dumb question, but how do I properly copy the CS3 install files onto a USB? Drag and drop everythng from the CD? Can I not just copy the files onto my desktop and install from there? That is what I thought Manish suggested, to install from the desktop.
I had tried this method. After copying the install files to the desktop, here's what happened: I clicked the setup application and it opened, but it immediately detected that I had CS3 installed and wouldn't let me go any further. Perhaps that was due to other problems resulting from use of the Migration Assistant.
Previously, when I used the install disk on the shared drive, I was able to open the setup and install the couple of CS3 programs that weren't installed the first time around. That installation attempt failed and led me here to my original post.
