Lost Installed Applications on E71 Memory Card

I lost the Installations on my E71 Memory Card and would like to restore them. Can any one help me? Things like Scaner and other stuff. Kayus

Unfortunately, there is no way to recover the password in the latest S60 phones. The only way that I know so far is by reformatting the memory card.
Phone menu: It can be done from Memory Card application by selecting Options | Format memory card menu. Of course, you will lose all your data in the memory card
Phone to PC: Connect your Phone to PC in Mass Storage, and select your memory card and format it. This should work. But you will loose your data!

You can make a backup of contacts, messages, etc.. with Ovi or Nokia PC Suite. I suggest you reinstall apps after a firmware update.

i try to use netqin antivirus but not found virus. and i try f-secure, i found many files not scaned and that is my lost file. and stangely enough, that extension file was changed with chines word. and i found too in the private folder a file with chines word name. the folder was containing with that thing can't to delete.
how can i to fixed it? and what can i do to get my file back???
that aplication was the filehiden, and i don't used it yet before removed..
    sorry,my english not god...

Restoring your phone to an earlier backup will replace the data on your phone with the data from the earlier backup, so you will lose any more recent data.  Your only other option would be to purchase third party software that can read and selectively extract information from your earlier backup file, such as iPhone Backup Extractor.

  • Changing the default application to open memory cards

hi there, im trying to change the application that opens when i insert a memory card into my card reader. At the moment iphoto opens and slows my workflow down. can any one tell me how to change the application, or have nothing open at all when i insert the card?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Russell,
In your Applications folder, you should find 'Image Capture'. In its preferences, you should be able to configure what to do when a camera/media containing photos is mounted.

its quite simple when u connect ur phone with ur pc via usb always select the pc suite mode over the data/usb mode.....
secondly always try and eject ur phone from ur pc before just simply disconnecting the cable........
connecting via pc suite mode is more stable n i suppose u wont get the error again.......
mass storage mode tends to leave device with these kinda common problems and the connection is not stable and also the data transfer is slow as compared to the PC suite mode......

  • E61i Installing Applications on Start-up

Everytime I switch off and then switch on my Nokia E61i, it will try and install applications on start-up and then display an error message saying that it can't install applications from the memory card and that I should use the application manager instead.
Why is it doing this? What is happening here? Why is it trying to install apps each time?!?
Someone mentioned that the reason is that there are some applications installed to the memory card that are not functional before installing manually - but how do I know which applications these are?!?
What can I do to get rid of the automatic installation on start-up?!?
    Thanks!

I had this problem on e71 and this is how I've fix it. Connect your phone via usb cable (mass storage). Go to Resource/Apps and look for applications that you have uninstalled but it felt some files and delete every one of it (I had "Nokia Sports Tracke" and it felt "rLauncher_NokiaSportsTracker_180_E66_E71_PrePR1_aif.mif" and similar files).
After that go to Sys/Bin and again delete every file that you dont have installed (eg. "Launcher_NokiaSportsTracker_180_E66_E71_PrePR1.exe").
Next step. Go to System/Data and delete directory that is felt after uninstallation (eg. "SportsTracker").
I think that this will help you.

  • Install Applications on Blackberry 7.1

Does anybody have any idea if there is an option to install applications on external memory card while using blackberry 7.1 (Blackberry Curve 9320) instead of installing them on internal memory which is very insufficient (only 512 mb).

    Hi amietmadan
I don't know if anyone agree but I prefer minimum of 100MB for curve models as it don't have a powerful processor as compared to some Bold models,I am sure if you maintain this you won't  have any problem in long run and your device will run smoothly.
Also you can remove any additional language pack from your device it will increase the free space.your device supports Memory card upto 32 GB so Install a 32GB MicroSDHC or less on your device if you want to store more media files or any .

  • Installing applications to SD card

Can anyone tell ne how to install or move applications to the SD Card

I have not used Aerize since it first came out, so I don't recall if the instructions actually state to "intall" the application on your Media Card, or rather, "move" or "put" the install (*.jad) file on the Media Card, but the latter is the case.
You simply can't install applications to the Media Card. You can put "installation files" on the Media CArd.

  • Installed applications on Nokia5800 'missing'

    Hi all,
Can anyone help me? Last night I was downloading some applications using the Nokia Download online version. I installed 3 applications onto my memory card and was happily playing with them last inhgt. this morning howevr, the icons are still there under applications, but the applications themselves do not work. I cant even find them under applications manager.
So now I have 3 applications that show on the applications menu, but do not actually work, and I cannot  remove the icons.
    Has anyone else had this?
    I am on version 11.0.009
    thanks
    Solved!

Even I've faced similar issues with my nokia phones.
At times, the application goes from the application manager, but I was able to use it from the menu.
Another time, the application went missing both from the menu and the manager, but when I tried re-installing, it asked me "are you sure you want to replace version ** with **?"
Another time, the application would open and close instantly.
First restart the phone and see if the application works.
If it doesnt, reinstall the application, restart, and see if it works......Otherwise, after reinstalling, uninstall it so that the entire stuff will be cleanly removed from the phone.
Then restart and reinstall. It should work.(Maybe you'll have to restart after installing)

  • Change of memory card

I am willing to upgrade my memory card , if i copy all the data from old one to new one , will all the apps work again
?? what do i need to do ??

Applications are installed to the phones memory by default, so you would be able continue using the applications as per normal, however if the application uses the memory card to store save data or temporary data it may not be able to read it. This is based on the application's in use.

  • PCSuite Install Application problem

hi, well my problem started today when i wanted to install applications or themes or anything on my n80.
First of all i have windows xp with service pack 2, pc suite application 6.83.14.1 and i tried connecting via bluetooth and cable.
connection is successful through cable or bluetooth. but today i suddenly cannot install anything by double-click. i was able doing that before with no problems at all. i tried everything (uninstall pcsuite, update pcsuite, uninstall bluetooth solei, install it again, now i uninstalled everything again and install windows bluetooth drivers.) everything is the same. i have connection, and i CAN install through nokia application installer ONLY IF i choose install destination to my memory card and not phone memory. before, i could install applications by double click, or by nokia application installer with destination to phone memory but now i cannot install with double click nor if the selection in nokia application installer is set to phone memory. please help me because i'm worried that something soon will be wrong. thanks in advance!
PS error is always "Operation failed". in solei serial a, and serial b were set. i tried also by unset them, set new com port etc etc.
    josip.

I had same problem. Then i ve formatted my N80 by entering code *#7370#
    So problem is solved...

To the best of my knowledge, you cannot run applications from the memory card.  You can use the card for pictures and videos.

  • Audio Manager showing less space on Memory Card th...

    Hello,
I use a Nokia N70, and am trying to transfer music files to the memory card.
I have the "E" (memory card) option highlighted as the device to copy files to, however it will not let me transfer more than a few tracks before it comes up saying "No space left on phone"
At the bottom of the Audio Manager it says "Used 53299 KB Available: 8967 KB". Yet, it says in the File Manager application that the Memory card has: "Used Space 20.47Mb" "Free Space 40.34 Mb"
Why are the two conflicting? Does anyone have any ideas please?
    Thanks,

Did you ever get an answer
This is exactly what I'm seeing with 6.83. Very frustrating.
    "There is not enough space..."
It is reporting 1490.19/1913.94 used on a 2Gb card. In fact after some cleanup I am only using ~120Mb and have around 1800Mb free!
    This is confirmed by
    - the file browser in PC suite
    - directly accessing the 2Gb card via the "memory card" mode on the N80 (makes card appears as a drive to windows)
    This is under Vista x64
Changing the folder, rebooting phone, rebooting PC -- none of this seems to help
