Lost iphone. No find my iphone installed!!

Hello I lost mv iphone, I did not have the Find My Iphone Installed. I want to recover all my photos, and if possible erase them from the iphone so the thief wont have access to photos nor anyother information.
Does anyone know if this is possible and how to do it!
thank you!!!

If you had an iCloud account set up on it, and if you had the setting for Find my iPhone enabled with that account, then you may be able to track it from your iCloud account in a web browser.  If you can detect it there, you can erase it.
The ability to track your phone remotely is a function of your iCloud account on the device, and the settings for that account.  The Find my iPhone App has nothing to do with whether your device is trackable or not.
You cannot recover the photo's on it - you needed to have backed those up or transferred them to your computer before it was lost or stolen.
Did you have a passcode lock enabled on the iPhone?  If not, whomever has it already has access to everything on it.

Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

  • How to find my lost iphone no app instaled

How to find my lost iphone no app installed. There is a way to find my iphone by serial number, ip adress or something please help me.

The only way to locate/disable/erase any lost/stolen iPhone is through Find My Phone or a similar app. However, this requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before it was lost/stolen. You would then login at iCloud.com & try to locate it. This requires the phone be turned on & have an Internet connection. There is no other way to locate a lost/stolen iPhone. Apple can't/won't help you, nor will your carrier. Report the loss to the Police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords.
If your carrier offers Blacklisting & they Blacklist the phone, it will be unusable as a phone.
If locked with a passcode, all a thief or whoever finds it has to do is force the phone into recovery mode & restore it. While this deletes all data on the phone, it also removes the passcode so the phone can then be used as a phone or touch.

    No.
    Sorry.

  • I have "find my iphone" installed on my iphone 4, which I lost last weekend. I opened the app once, but do not have an icloud account. Is it possible to find my phone? If so, how?

(I don't think I can set up an iCloud account on my computer because my macbook is too old to update to an operating system that supports iCloud, but could set it up on my brother's computer or something if it would be helpful.) This is just really frustrating because I know my phone is somewhere in either Ridgefield or Danbury, Connecticut, and like I said I do have "find my iphone" installed - just not sure if it's useful at all without already having the iCloud account - but I have no idea where/how to start looking.

The Find My iPhone app does not have to be installed on the device. The app only helps you locate other iOS devices from your device. What has to have happened is for you to have setup iCloud on the device and turn on Find My iPhone there. If that is on, you do not have to worry about installing iCloud on the computer, just open your browser and go to www.icloud.com. From there, log in to your iClooud account and you should be able to locate your device.
If you did not set up iCloud on the iPhone, there is no way for you to track the device. Make sure you change all of your passwords for all accounts you have on the phone, report it to the police and your carrier.

  • HT4865 What do i do to find my lost iphone? I did not install find my iphone app

I would like to know how to find my lost iphone using icloud. I did not intall find my iphone app. It is an iphone 4 and the version was ios 5

Can you explain what you mean by "partitioned an external drive to my mac intel"?
If you repartition a drive, that will always erase the whole drive. Is that what you did? Did you use Disk Utility, or something else? Disk Utility does say "To erase and repartition the disk..." so it does warn you what will happen.

  • Im trying to help someone locate their lost iPhone.  Why can't I access the Fine My iPhone app from my iPhone? I can only get the page to install it on my phone.

I am trying to locate someone's lost iPhone using the "Find my iPhone" app.  Why does safari keep re-directing me to the install Find My iPhone page?  Why can't I log in to MobileMe from my iphone?

Apple don't give access to the MobileMe web site from an iPhone. To use the service you need to use apps, like the Find My iPhone app.

  • How to help someone find his lost iphone

How to help a friend find his lost iphone ?
Item lost is iPhone 4 with iOS 6.1 installed.
iCloud is not set on the device, but have the imei no.

If icloud was not set of the device (and thus the "find my iphone" service was not turned on), then there's nothing you can do to find the lost device except help the friend search the house and other areas - in other words, there is no technology that can help.
Be sure the friend has contacted their carrier to have them shut down service and possibly contact the police.
Knowing the IMEI is of no help  to Apple, they do not track these nor serial numbers.

Installing the Find My iPhone app does not enable to track your iPhone. It will allow you to track devices in which Find My iPhone has been enabled.

  • Can I push "find my iPhone" out to my lost iPhone?

My dad has lost his iPhone and he did not have Find my iPhone installed. Can we push it out to his iPhone from his iTunes account (iCloud?)

The switch is in your iCloud settings (Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone) and it has been there since the feature was made available.
To answer your question, which I believe is "Can the switch be turned ON remotely?" the answer is "no it cannot".  The setting can only be enabled in person, and there is no default choice one way or the other when you set up an iPhone, so if your Dad did not enable this feature then it won't help.

  • I believe someone stole my iPod touch at school. I don't have find my iphone installed on my ipod, only on my iPad. If my ipod still shows on my devices, does that mean it hasn't been erased?

    lost/stolen
No app on the iPod is required.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police and school
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

  • HT4623 Is there any way to find a lost iPhone once the phone's battery has expired?

I have lost my iPhone(4)and the battery is dead. I have the "locate device application", however, I know the battery is dead. To my knowledge, once the battery has expired, it cannot be retrieved using the "lost device/find my device" application.?? Is this correct? If so, is there another way to find this lost iPhone?

Thanks for taking the time to respond!!
I didn't think so, but was hoping this was a time, that someone knew something that I didn't.

As long as you enabled it when you first activated your Iphone, it's pretty straightforward.  Using any computer, go to icloud.com.  Sign in with your Apple ID. A screen will come up with a map showing the general location of your phone.  If you have a friend with an iphone and are logged in using Safari, when you get close, you can tell your iphone to make a sound.  Good luck.
