Lost iPhone without Find my iPhone app

Lost my iPhone and the phone was turned off. Did not register Find my iphone app and not using iCloud but the phone is locked so passcode is needed.
Is there anyway that the person that took the iPhone can access to the information in my phone? If the person connect the phone to a PC/laptop, what are the info that he/she can get? I'm sure the photo albums can be accessed.
When the phone is off, can the person use siri to call 'home' and get to see my 'home' number?
Appreciate your advice. Thanks!

Off on an iPhone is off, nothing works. Since you did not turn on/activate Find My Phone, there is no way to locate it now, other than physically looking for it. Unless whoever finds your phone can guess the passcode, they will have to force the phone into recovery mode & restore it to remove the passcode. This will delete all data on the phone. However, the phone will be useless to them, as it cannot be re-activated without knowing your Apple ID/Password.
You should change your Apple ID password NOW.

What To Do If Your iDevice or Computer Is Lost Or Stolen
    iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad
If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if Wi-Fi is enabled on the device. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. You cannot expect Apple or anyone else to find your device for you. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.
If your iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, or iPad is lost or stolen what do you do? There are things you should have done in advance - before you lost it or it was stolen - and some things to do after the fact. Here are some suggestions:

  • Lost iPhone apps and podcast subscriptions after relocating music

    Here is my situation:
I am using iTunes and I have music for which I do not have iTunes manage. The music is located outside of the iTunes folder on my local PC. I have created playlists which include those songs. I have an iPhone 3GS for which I subscribe to podcasts via iTunes and for which I have purchased a number of apps. I am interested in moving the music files to a newly purchased NAS drive. I have a new folder on the NAS drive mapped to my PC as the Z: drive. I am intending on keeping the iTunes folder on my local pc.
I do not wish to have iTunes manage those songs, so I do not want to have iTunes copy them to the iTunes folder and perform consolidate.
I followed instructions online for doing a search and replace in the library XML file for all the songs outside of iTunes. I replaced the paths with the new ones. I also replaced the itl file with 0 byte file. On starting iTunes, it recognized the itl file as being corrupt, and rebuilt it from the modified XML file.
This worked great for all the music but caused the following issues:
    1) iTunes no longer showed any of my purchased iPhone apps being present in iTunes.
    2) The previously hidden podcasts videos playlist (which normally just appears on my phone) was now visible. Also a second new playlist called podcasts appeared.
    3) The podcast list under library in iTunes which shows my subscribed podcasts is now blank,
I have temporarily reverted back to my original XML and itl files until I resolve this issue.
Does anyone know how to get around those issues or another method to move music without having to consolidate my music under iTunes?
    -Brad

I have the same problem. Did you solve it? How?
    Thanks, Joerka

  • Lost iPhone Apps (Safari, App Store and iTunes)

I couldn't locate the iPhone apps such as Safari, App Store and iTunes at all. I have restored it twice and those 3 apps appeared initially after each restore process but disappeared again once it sync with my iphone backup.
    Appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Check Settings -> General -> Restrictions. If restrictions are enabled for any of those apps, their icons will be hidden.

  • Lost iPhone app

I have app on my iPhone 4.  I upgraded to iPhone 5.  My apps are backed up in iCloud.  I update iPhone 5 from iCloud.  An app I use frequently did not get copied onto my iPhone five.  I try to go to App Store and it is discontinued.  The app is still on my iPhone 4.  How do I get the app from my backup onto my iPhone 5?  If
I go all the way back to iTunes and try to sync.  Won't it delete everything that I've backed up since in iCloud?  And if I sync with iTunes will it delete the app from iTunes during sync?  I really want the app and my impractical but safe way is to use my iPhone four only for the app and then my iPhone five for new stuff.  But it kind of defeats the purpose if I have to carry around two phones.

Go to iCloud.com > Find mt phone on a computer.

  • How can i find my lost ipod without having any tracking apps installed?

i have just lost my ipod somewhere and i couldn't find it. is there any way that I could get it back? But as far as I remember I have not installed any tracking apps on my ipod. will the serial number on the box do any help?

The serial number can be reported to the police, etc. but this is the only way it will help.
If you had activated "Find my iPod" on your iPod there are some things that you could do (if it has not been restored, is on and is connected to a registered WiFi network).

  • TS4006 How many ipods can be on find my iphone app or in the list

My daughter lost her ipod touch.  I had it listed on Find My iPhone.  So, I had my iPhone, and two iPod Touches listed.  It was showing offline and we cannot locate it.  I had an extra iPod touch not being used.  So, I registered it to my iTunes account and added it.  If I go under my Apple Support Profile, it does show that I have 1 iPhone and 3 iPod Touches now.  However, it no longer shows the one that is lost on my Find My iPod app or when I log onto iCloud.  It is almost like the one I added over wrote the one that was lost.  If I go onto My Support Profile page, I can see all of the iPod Touches registered under my account.  I just wanted to keep that on on my Find My iPod, because it is lost.  I am hoping it turns up, but if anyone tries to use it now, I cannot track it's location.  Can someone please give me any feed back on this?  Thank you!!

    See:
iCloud: Troubleshooting Find My iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac
    Likely that either:
    - The iPod is not connected to the internet. That could be due to the iPod not being within range of of a wifi network that the iPod has connected to before. Because of this fact the Find feature is not that useful for an iPod since it does not have a cellular connection like iPhones. Or the battery could be dead too.
    - The iPod has been erased/restore for use or to be resold

  • I lost my ipad and find my ipad apps was deleted from my ipad

Help if I can find my ipad since I can't find ...find my ipad on my icloud it only shows find my iphone ...and I suspect may be find my ipad apps was deleted before I lost my ipad

The Find My iPad app has nothing to do with actually finding your iPad. It is an app that works like the iCloud version - to locate your iPad if lost or stolen. Remember that in order for Find my iPad to work, your device must be connected to the Internet via WiFi or cellular. If the device is offline, you will not be able to locate it. Find My iPad does retain it's last know location for a short time, but if that time is expired, it will appear as offline and no location will be available. This is of course assuming you did actually activate Find My iPad. If not, there is no way to track it anyway.
If you were using iOS 7 even if they wipe the iPad, they will not be able to activate it. Not helpful to you now I know, but if you don't get it back you know they can't use it anyway.

  • Help i lost my iphone and i have the find my iphone app on my phone but cant seem to figure it out without my iPhone

help i lost my iphone and i have the find my iphone app on my phone but cant seem to figure it out without my iPhone

Did you have Find My iPhone enabled on your iPhone in its settings? If so, go to www.icloud.com and use your Apple iCloud ID to use the Find My iPhone app.

  • HOw can i locate a lost iphone without the "find my iphone" app

MY daughter has lost her ipod 4g.  I previously was able to locate her via the find my iphone app, however, her ipod no longer shows up on my device list since its been gone.  Any suggestions?  Or should i just consider it gone forever?

Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod.  If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number).  If any passwords are associated with your bank or any savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief.  All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself.  This requires action before the device is lost/stolen.  Something as small as an iPod should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.

  • I lost my iphone  does the find my iphone app function without having set up icloud?

Not setting up with iCloud means that you will not be able to go to www.icloud.com to find it, but using the Find my iPhone app on another device may find it.
No, the Find My iPhone/iPad apps are just mobile interfaces for the same system used to find a device on iCloud.com. If a device isn't set up with iCloud Find My iPhone, it can't be located.

    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    iCloud: Find My iPhone
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.

    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.
