Lost iPod Touch 5th Gen, if stolen, can it be restored without Pascode?

Lost it, and I have already turned on Lost Mode, and play sound, (only noticed last night, and realized where I loat it probably, that was the day before.) hopefully it wasnt restored yet.
IS it Possible that someone can restore it without the Pascode and Restrictions Code? And is something like this worth reporting it to the Police?

If the iPod was signed into iCloud and FIndMyiPod was turned on they can restore via iTunes but they will have to enter your Apple/iCloud ID in order to activate the iPod for use

Triple click the home button and try going to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn VoiceOver off. You may have to use three fingers to scroll the screen to get there. If problems see:

Ive lost my ipod 5th gen at a party last night, can i track it if whoever has it now restored it?

ICould is forcing songs from my library onto my iPod touch 5th gen, and they can't be deleted or removed. How do I fix this?

I share a library with my parents, and some of their songs are apparently stored in the iCloud. These songs are showing up in the library on my device with the cloud image next to them, giving me the option to download them from the cloud, but they are already on my device. They play when I shuffle through my library, which is something they shouldn't do if I haven't downloaded them, right? I've tried going to the setting and shutting off the show all songs and all that does is show the same songs as of they are downloaded onto my iPod (which they are). I just want these songs off of my device. How would I go about accomplishing this?

Welcome to the Support Communities! If the songs reside on your iPhone, you should be able to delete them per the instructions below. If you see the download icon, you may need to actually download the song before you can actually delete it from your iPhone. Click on the link below for complete details. IPod touch 5th gen... play all songs on all albums by an artist in album order?

On my old ipod classic I can play all songs on all albums by an artist in album order. Is there a way to do this on the ipod touch 5th gen? I can see how to play all songs by an artist but only in alphabetical order, not one album after another...

You can't please everyone ... some people want to be able to find a particular song by an artist and can't remember the name of the album from which it comes. By sorting all songs by an artist alphabetically you can go right to it. But I agree with you, I'd much prefer album order. Submit your feedback via the link provided, and yes the workaround is to create an On The Go playlist, or create one in iTunes.

While I can delete multiple emails at once on my iPad 2 (inbox> Edit> Check first email> Hold MOVE while unchecking first email> Release Move > (all emails stack up) then, >Trash
this does NOT work on the iPod Touch 5th Gen.
When I do those steps, it "appears" to work but then, the emails go right back to the inbox.
I've also tried the other method that incorporates using "Mark all as read" - as an extra step - (read it on Apple Support Forums) but apparently it works on iPhones, not iPod Touch 5.

My iPod touch 5th gen can't play videos?

I've had my iPod touch 5th gen since Christmas Eve and I haven't had any problems with it, but a few days ago it stopped playing videos and now - even though I have turned it off and back on and turned the wifi off and back on again - it still can't play videos off any site, Facebook, dailymotion, YouTube, nothing. But I can view webpages and get Internet connection just fine!!
So if you know what I could do to fix it please help because it's very frustrating!!! Thanks

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

The reason i asked this question is because i have been wondering this a lot ever since i got an exchange on this ipod (and ive only had it for a few weeks now) because my last ipod had a lot of problems. so after i restored my ipod with my computer/itunes, i downloaded apps that i wanted, and then when i went to the storage to see how much storage was left, it said 0 bytes. i was freaking out because i didnt know how that could be, i mean, cause like, that is impossible when i just 'purchased' it, that the space was full but i looked and all my pictures were on this ipod and i already put them on my computer so i dont need them anymore thats why i wanna reset it now so there is nothing on it so i can have more space for stuff to do and download on it.
it is updated to iOS 8 but that happened when i purchased it, so i didnt have a choice to update it even though i didnt want to update to iOS 8...

Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. How can I unlock ipod touch 5th gen currently disabled and never sync'd with itunes

Basic situation. Ipod touch 5th gen. Passcode forgotten and tried too many times such that ipod is disabled and requested to connect to iTunes. Problem is that the ipod was never sync'd with iTunes so the connection fails. I've only owned it for 9 months or so. I know I can recover all my music through iTunes and my applications through the app store since all of my content was legally purchased. The problem is that I need to also recover my contacts and pictures since this is the only place they exist.
I have read about methods up to 4th generation where you can access a particular file on the device via computer and rename it to unlock the device. That would most likely allow me to then sync/backup via iTunes and recover my data. Problem is that I can only access the DCIM folder via windows manager and it contains no data. Perhaps there is a way to access the device a different way?
Is there a way with the 5th generation to either reset the lock (from disabled to locked with a 1 min wait for retry as an example) to allow me more opportunities to try other passcodes that I may have set (including mistypes etc) or to remove the passcode completely and let me set it to something I will write down this time?
Please do not reply with the standard apple responses of 'sync with itunes' or 'factory reset' and no, I did not sync with the icloud either (I tried but it was unsuccessful for some reason).
The answer doesn't even have to be a free one as I would be willing to pay for the solution if it were guaranteed to work. Since apple seems to want to charge for any type of support, even to ask a question, I am relying on the community for help. Thanks much.

You have to place the iPod in Recovery mode as Apple says and erase the device. It is a security feature.

If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
You can also wipe the iOS device by installing the FindMyiPhone app on another iOS device and using that app to wipe the device.

With the iPod connected to your computer go to the Summary pane for the iPod in iTunes and uncheck the box that says: Sync with this iPod over Wi-Fi.
Also in the Summary pane check the box that says backup to the computer.

Going both forward and back would be great but I would be pleased just to have a "sight-free" way to go forward.
I've seen some mention here and there about ways to maybe change it so the volume buttons change tracks and holding the volume buttons changes the volume... but I don't know what's involved in that or if its even possible/recommended for a new 5th gen iPod. I think its a great device but its sadly lacking in music oriented functions and features... which is disappointing since music is why most people would bother getting one instead of some other "iDevice" :/

Given that you cannot do what you have asked for, perhaps you simply need to find another solution to your root problem.
Presumably, you want to skip to the next track because you don't want to hear the current one, and that is because...
You don't like it.
You've heard it recently and don't want to hear it now.
Simply don't want to hear it at this time.
For problem number 1. Don't put it on the iPod in the first place. (I know, obvious answer!)
For problem number 2. How about playing from a Smart Playlist (initially created in your iTunes Library) which has only songs you've not played recently?
For problem number 3. Hhhmmm! Create alternative Playlists for use in the car.
As for going back to the start of the "now playing" track.... Well, if your Playlist has only songs that you really, really want to hear, then you'll be looking forward to that rather go back to the beginning of the current song.
I'm not trying to be prescriptive, just giving you food for thought.
(They are all cheaper options than buying a car which can control the iPod from the steering wheel.)
