Lost language bar

Have managed to lose the language bar from my task bar - I have been able to re-install it on my computer but it has to be done every time I log on, and it's now floating on my home page. Up until two days ago, the language bar was on my task bar. When I brought up the menu on my task bar, language was there, but when I clicked on it, it disappeared. Does anyone know how I can re-instate it in the task bar permanently?

I noticed a couple days ago that my language bar wasn't showing up when I had Firefox active. At first I thought it was the bar in its entirety, but when I'm on the desktop, or even in AIM, the language bar still shows. I'm constantly switching between typing in English and Japanese, so I need this function. I'm stuck currently typing it elsewhere and pasting it into the browser, which is very time consuming. Does anyone have any ideas as to why it's doing this? Thank you.

I have the Language bar as part of the taskbar, and I have Firefox just as a normal window. It's actually showing up today, which is strange because I've been moving my computer around, so it's been on and off three times today, and this is the first time it's here.

No need to create any customer exit variable for this ..
You have standard variable CMONTH this displays current month summation. Just restrict your Key figure with this variable.
And in properities of Key figure goto Calculations> Local Calculations> select Summation.
If you want to assign some calday at run time sure you need to create customer exit variable using Step_2 value in enhancements(CMOD).

The Utilisation of Firefox causes Windows Vista Language Bar to disappear.

Every time I open Firefox, Windows Vista Language Bar will be missing. Once I close Firefox, Language Bar reappear. It causes trouble whenever I wanna write in different languages.

I disabled the auto-updates after the second auto-update yesterday (and after the Time Machine restore to 10.9.1). The update had already been downloaded prior to that. Apps started nagging me this morning about the update - again. There is no "cancel" option, all I do is click on "Remind me tomorrow". I suspect it will install it again anyway in the days ahead, or I may go ahead and do the update and see if the nav bar is still there given the Preferences > General fix. Thanks.

How to change language bar that windows supports using google IME

Brief description about Google IME : Google Transliteration IME is an input method editor which allows users to enter text in one of the supported languages using a roman keyboard. Users can type a word the way it sounds using Latin characters and Google Transliteration IME will convert the word to its native script. Note that this is not the same as translation -- it is the sound of the words that is converted from one alphabet to the other, not their meaning. Converted content will always be in Unicode.
Problem Statement: I would like to buid an AIR Application to support some kind of data entry for different languages like English, Hindi, Arabic etc.. without going and selecting the language selection on the language bar present in the windows desktop.
I want to provide a combobox to select the language -- once the language is selected correspondingly the language selection bar should change to the language specified ( Assume that I have installed Google IME for that particular language - with a short cut keys to change the language selection)
when the mouse pointer is inside the app the keyboard should function like the language selected - once the mouse pointer goes out of the scope it should go to the defalut language ie English ( for eg)
In simple words when some selection on a combo box happens can I push programatically as if the user is pressed Alt+Shift+0 or Alt+Shift+1 ( some short cut keys)

Apple does not make what you are asking straightforward for a reason: the user usually sets the system language to the one they prefer anyway.
If you think you have a good reason for setting the language in the application itself, I would suggest using the pathForResource:ofType:inDirectory:forLocalization: method of the main bundle to get the applicable strings file and then deserialize it into a dictionary as if it were a plist (strings files actually are).

Focus on TextInput hides windows 7 language bar when in Chrome (latest version by the time of the writting) - very odd behavior, if the user clicks away from the flex app then the language bar reappears but even if you change the language if you focus back on the application the language is back to what it was the last time the application was focused, though you can't actually see this since the language bar is gone.
This is kind of a serious bug since an avarage user probably would't be able to change the language with key combinations...
Does someone know anything about this issue ?

Actually giving focus on the entire flex application results in hiding the windows 7 language bar in chrome. I just reported this. Here is the link for the bug + an extra issue:

Firefox resets my language bar to the default value (EN).

After upgrading to Firefox 31.0 I have problem typing in using language specific keyboard (PL - Polish Programmer). I set language at the language bar to PL. I can type in Polish fonts in other application like MS Word or Notepad. But as soon as I open Firefox or change focus to one of Firefox tabs the language value on the language bar changes back from PL to EN and I can't type Polish font by pressing Right-Alt (for example Right-Alt + s to type ś). I can copy Polish fonts from other editors and paste to Firefox, I can use check spell to insert correct fonts, but this is not what I want to do. I want to type in Polish fonts straight away. I haven't had this problem in previous version of Firefox. I will not upgrade to version 31.0 on other computers until this problem is fixed.

A list of localized versions of Firefox, downloading the Polish one may solve your issue if your not already using that version? If your not already using that version I would suggest deleting your current version before downloading the Polish one

Whenever I go to the korean site, the language bar switches automatically to korean from english, but if I am back to english based site, the language still keep korean. I don't know why it says that I use firefox 4... When I check in my About window it says 18.
I do ignore the message about the plugins. But I've started to get a little bit annoyed that I have to move up and press the little x every time I navigate to a site that needs something like flash. It eats up the size of about two text rows... it feels so unnecessary that it's there. If I want flash I will install it... The browser doesn't have to inform me about it every time.
I really hoped for a better answer. Hopefully the firefox crew will add an option to not show that kind of messages in the future.

Are you talking about changing the keyboard layout when you are working in Windows? If so, you need to tell people how you are running it (bootcamp, parallels, other) and whether you have already done stuff like

I cant find my lanaguage bar. I use Japanese and English for work and I cant do anything becuase I cant find the japanaese langauge thingy. Im not tech savy and this is really pissing my off. Please help! It was there before i upgraded

Do you mean that the language bar disappear in the task bar after your upgrading to Windows 8.1?
Please share us a screenshot for better analyzation.
We could take the following steps for troubleshooting:
1. Go to Control Panel\Clock, Language, and Region\Language\Advanced settings
2. Click Change language bar hot keys
3. Take a look at the following screenshot and check if the language bar is hidden
Additionally, please press the shortcut win+ space and check if we can choose the languages.

Language Bar Malfunction!

I run Windows 7 via Bootcamp on my MB Air (13"), which I unboxed days ago.
After installing the Traditional and Simplified Chinese language packs for Microsoft Office 2010, keyboard inputs for both Traditional and Simplified (both of which I need) were activated, which is great, but no matter where in Windows or any program I happen to be, the language bar only shows the two Chinese options, and toggling is only possible between those two, and not English.
In short, then, there is no "EN" option in the language bar now that it, and the Chinese inputs it makes available, are active.
However, in my keyboard settings in the "Region and Language" control panel utility, English input is also activated with the Apple keyboard option, and oddly, when I first log in to Windows, the "EN" for English *DOES* appear, but that's the only time that it does.
Deeply perplexed and truly annoyed. All help or insights welcome

Try removing the "US (Apple)" from the list and use "US" instead.
