Lost left volume on ipad

Lost left volume only on Ipad speaker, 3rd generation. Right volume works. I've gone to settings-General-Accessibility and slid audio volume balance to left and have no sound at all. Although, when stereo headphones are connected, the left and right volume work fine. Is this fixable?

Your iPad does not have a left and right speaker, only one mono speaker.

The Retrospect you used way back when is no longer around. The company was sold and that company produced a new version of Retrospect - Retrospect 8.x
So, as you've been told, you would have to be running a Tiger system with an old version of Retrospect software (5.x or 6.x - you would need to know) assuming you can find the software.
As best I can remember you cannot extract files from a Retrospect backup except using the software since Retrospect did not normally make a file by file backup rather it created an archive of the files in the backup. I'm assuming that the EMC/Retrospect people have told you that old Retrospect backups are not accessible by Retrospect 8.x?

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
Have you tried closing all apps via the iPad's multitasking bar and then doing a soft-reset and seeing that helps ? To close all apps :
iOS 7: double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag each app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
iOS 6 and below : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

IPad2: After upgrad to iOS 8, video output lost left and right side

I have a cable for my iPad2, once plugged in the bottom slot, it outputs video to TV Component port and audio to my amplifier. It's been working for years. After iOS 8 upgrade, I notice the video output lost left and right side. It's like

The "Apple" on the left, and "for me." on the right of screen is gone in output.

See if this gets them back.
Quit Safari completely and reboot the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I lost my volume to my ipad 2 after I did my Ios7 update I took it in to the apple store they were very nice they test it my ipad they said they could not do anything for me and they could replace my ipad for 250.00 since my ipad was out of warranty since April. I think that's not fair my ipad was in excellent condition I have never had a problem. So iam trying to see if anyone else had this problem with there volume.

After moving to ios7 my iPad seems more sensitive to thinking it is " docked" even though we don't have a dock. When it thinks it is docked all sound and sound controls go to the non existent dock.
Cause...dirty port...not an issue with ios6 but something in ios7 makes your port more sensitive to thinking dust is a docking station.
After searching "iPad thinks it's docked" I found a fix.
This solution worked instantly for me ... Turn off the iPad then gently clean with rubbing alcohol and a a-tip with the end thinned out to fit in the port.
Now we have sound!
There were a couple of solutions in here that involved cleaning the dock connector port.

If you need to erase the personal information on your phone remotely, here are the steps to do that:
iCloud: Erase your device remotely
If your device is lost or stolen, you can erase the personal information (such as your contacts, email, and music) and settings on that device to prevent anyone else from seeing or using your information.
Important: Before you erase all the information on your device, try to locate it or play a sound on it. I have been into General, Settings & I seem to have lost Siri from my iPad. I have tried pressing my button to get Siri but have been unsuccessful. Anyone able to help. Please.

So, you've checked Settings>General>Siri>On. My only other suggestions would be to make sure you have the device set to a languge Siri understands. You could try restoring the iPad as new using iTunes.
What is the model number? Settings>General>About

5th Generation nano lost left channel....

5th Generation nano lost left channel, with usb and headphone outs. Any idea why? It's been working just fine.
