Lost midi input button on score and matrix windows

Hello --
Here is a weird one. Does anhyone know how you can loose the midi input button for step input on the score window in screen set 1 but have it on screen set 2 and others. In screen set 1 I had the arrange window openned with matrix, score, events and keyboard input.
I dumped the autoload and create new windows and it seems to work now but how could something like that happen? I searched for some setting that might affect buttons but did not find one.
Mostely curious if something like this has happend to others.

How do I get all the control buttons in one place in 3.6.16, like they used to be in previous versions? Having the refresh and stop buttons between address and search windows, and the home button to the far right is awful.

In 3.6.16, the buttons are all over the place. In previous versions, the forward, back, refresh, stop and home buttons were all together. In this version, the refresh and stop buttons are between the address and search windows, and the home button to the far right.
I would love to have them all together as they used to be - much more user friendly that way. I have tried installing alternate themes, but the coding of this version over-rides the themes.

Firefox 4.0 has a combined Reload and Stop and Go button that appears at the right end of the location bar.
To restore the Firefox 3 appearance you can use these steps:
* Open the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window to move the Stop and Reload button out of the location bar.
* Move the Reload and Stop buttons to their previous position at the left side of the location bar.
* Set the order to "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
* Set the order to "Stop - Reload" or separate them otherwise to get two distinct buttons.

Lost MIDI Input since I Downloaded New Version of MAC OS X 10.4.7

I have an Oxygen 8 MIDI I lost the sound on my MIDI after I down loaded, I tried to reinstall the drivers but they are only for MAC OS X 10.4.6, any ideas? I have no sound even in the audio test set up.

Hi -- how did you get it sorted out? I have a friend with M Audio 410 who can't seem to get the computer to recognize the interface. He's running on a G4 PB OSX 10.4.7.

Midi input error with Cubase and SB Audigy 2

Hi,
I have problems when I'm recording midi in Cubase (haven't try any other system) on my SB Audigy 2 ZS card.
Have try Cubasis VST that comes with the card, have try with my old Cubase VST 24, and have tryed with my friends Cubase SX 3, same results.
The error I got is that the beginning of the recording gets alot of error, the first 2-3 parts is compressed into a randomized soap and sometimes I got notes without any noteoff commands. And the sync is very poor at the part after.
It works fine with my old SB Li've 5. card but works horrible with my new card. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong? I've try to reinstall and download latest drivers but nothing hel
ps.
When I record all returned midi signal is okej (the one that make my keyboard to play the sound), but the recording isn't.

Does this happen every time you try to record? Or does it only happen after you have put your computer on Stand By or Hibernate and woken it up?
I recognized your description of the error because the same thing happens to me with some older SB cards, but only after the computer has been woken up from Stand By or Hibernate. I posted a message about it here.
Sorry, I have no solution either (except rebooting the computer, which works for me).

Are you saying that the file, edit, view, etc buttons are missing? Just hit ''Alt'' to temporarily enable them. You can add them back for good by going to ''Firefox > Options'' and enabling the ''Menu bar''.

Any way to make GB shut up about "number of MIDI inputs has changed" once and for, Christ's sake, all?

That is silly, if you ask me. I mean why would I want a notification about that if I power off my midi keyboard by my own hand. I wouldn't mind if it didn't prevent GB from working until you press "OK".
Please, dear APPLE, make that notification stop (optional would be great). Or atleast make the message to disappear by itself in several seconds.

How do I select a midi input device and record midi?

I have several midi input devices connected to my computer. I use them regularly with Digital Performer. I am trying to record a single midi track in Garage Band using an Oxygen 8 keyboard. In the preferences GB says that it sees 7 midi devices. How do I route midi with Garage Band and how do I tell Garage band which midi device to record from? When I create a midi track (well...I think that it is a midi track) and I try to record I do not see any midi notes being recorded.
Searching the help file for midi provided surprisingly little information. I am sure that this is simple stuff...perhaps so simple that I am missing something obvious.

I have a virtual instrument (with for example) a delay effect knob. I would like to turn a knob on my midi controller and adjust the delay in the virtual instrument (as I can in just about any other sequencer). Can GarageBand do this, if so, how?

At the time, Apple was still offering the e-chat, so I did that and the man was very helpful and it was a quick fix, so my download button turned green again, and I was able to begin the download. BUT during the download, I was kicked offline once again, and I decided to wait until I was back in the USA. I will go in to an Apple store and ask assistance, but if there is something I am missing, I'd like to try that first. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi, try this...
If nothing is showing in the Toolbar at top, click the little gray oval at top right.
Right click or Control+click on the Toolbar, choose Customize Toolbar, drag the Send button to the Toolbar.

I have lost the use of the 'forward' and 'back' button

On Win 7 I have lost the use of the forward and back button - both are greyed out - except on this page ??? when I leave this page the greyed out appears on all tabs or links in use. I am using Firefox 3.6.16. To get to this page I have 7 tabs open at present and all ( except this one - odd! ) are greyed out.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

If you purchased in the UAE then it must be returned to the seller in the UAE for repair or service under warranty
NO Authorised servicer in India will touch it as it did not originate in India
If you purchased in an UNauthorised seller in UAE then you will have to find out where it came from for any warranty support

So this isn't a question but I think it's very helpful, as I've had this problem ever since update 10 or so, even with resetting my Firefox profile so here's the fix
k so I use Stardock software's Windowsblinds on my x64 Win 7 laptop. I run Firefox with the "Awesomebar" disabled, I like my menus. Anyhow for the longest time I've had a problem where Firefox stops displaying my buttons, bubbles, checkboxes, and input lines along with some borders on a few pages, so today I finally figured out which options to check to make things work and look how it's supposed to
maybe your team could code some sort of detection for windowblinds and enable these options/settings automaticly
settings in about:config that I manually changed:
layersacceleration.draw.fps true
plugin.allow.asyncdrawing true
gfx.direct2d.disabled false
Not sure if all 3 are necessary or not but I fliped the 3 to the stated variables and Vwala I can see all my buttons, bubbles, checkboxes, and input lines
also add Windowblinds to the tags for future users ---->

@ cor-el I tried it in the options menu quite a few times with seems that it just wasn't writing to the config file even though it said it was enabled/disabled. so I went straight to the config file and changed it manually but thank you for the input anyhow

Has iTunes been uninstalled or removed from you system?
Is it no longer in the Start Menu or in Control Panel?
What exactly was downloaded and installed? There is no Windows 9, so it's not possible that it is installed on your computer.
