Lost mobile functions after upgrade from Adobe PDF Pack to Creative Cloud

I think mobile functions ar part of Creative Cloud (Student)  with respect to Acrobat Pro XI module: e.g. PDF conversion
I have contacted Adobe Chat already and shall now contact this forum as very next step.
However, my Reader App does not support PDF conversion any more since Adobe PDF Pack licence has expired but still a Creative Cloud licence is in effect.

Moving this discussion to the Adobe Acrobat.com Services forum.

    Hi efacg,
Most printing issues are solved by resetting the Printing preferences. When you print from Firefox and you click on the down arrow, do you see Defualt and Firefox? Please make changes to the preferences here and preview the document.

  • Lost Developer Toolbar after upgrade from 4.1 to 4.2

After upgrading from 4.1 to 4.2.1.00.08, we have lost the Developer Toolbar.
Have others run into this with the upgrade or fresh installation of 4.2.1?
If so, what suggestions are there for fixing, short of reinstallation mentioned in this other thread:
    {message:id=10692572}
Following the guidance there to look at the instance ID and other preference settings, I compared our three instances. The two that are not having the problem are both at 4.2.0.00.27.
Here are the preferences that exist on our other instances but are null on the problem instance:
    APEX_4_1_0_PATCH_12920544
    APEX_4_2_0_PATCH_14777994
    APP_EXPORT_TO_DB_ENABLED
    HPROF_DIRECTORY
    INSTANCE_ID
    MOBILE_DEVELOPMENT_ENABLED
    PRINT_SVR_HOST
    PRINT_SVR_PORT
PRINT_SVR_SCRIPTI have asked our support team to review the upgrade log. Re-installation from scratch is an option.
    Any advice is welcome.

    Thanks, Joel.
You inspired me to take a closer look, and look beyond the upgrade.
After the upgrade, my application passed a superficial checkout. Later, I exported my application and in the export file, the Instance ID was not NULL. I had not noticed any problems with how APEX was working.
The problems of the missing Developer Toolbar, Instance ID = NULL, and a new one, did not occur until I removed my application and tested a clean installation of the workspace and application. This is the sequence of events. The immediate triggering cause is clearly one of the following:
    1. Deinstall application (ID 820) from APEX 4.2.1.00.08 instance, running 11g (11.1.0.7.0).
    2. Remove workspace (PVA_AH9_R12)
    3. (drop the parsing schema, xxpva, and related tablespace)
    4. (create tablespace and schema user, xxpva)
    5. Import workspace (PVA_AH9_R12) from an APEX 4.2.0.00.27 instance.
    6. Import application (ID 820) including supporting objects from an APEX 4.2.0.00.27 instance, running 11g (11.2.0.1.0).
The next day I noticed the Developer Toolbar missing problem, and found that Instance ID is NULL.
Also, after Exporting an application in Database format, I cannot download the file from the Export Repository. When I click the filename link, I get 'Access Denied' instead of the normal download dialog.
Does this suggest anything else I should look into?
Do you think I should post this as a new problem/question with more detail about the sequence of events?

  • Lost Mobile Network After upgrade to Win 10

Hi, any thoghts on an issue on 2nd gen X1 (3460-2SG) that after Win 10 upgrade lost Mobile Network but has WiFi OK?Looked for updated drivers but found none...Looked in "Mobile accsses" tool in previous profiles i had, and it states  "device is not found" in front of the H5321 gw Mobile broadband driver Any help will be much appreciated

    Hi ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!
I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your HP ENVY TouchSmart 15-j001tx Notebook and the Touch display doesn't respond to touch after a Windows 10 update. If your computer is having problems finding and installing operating system updates, try using the Windows Update Troubleshooting tool to fix the problem. Here is a document that shows how to update drivers that are not working correctly with Windows 10. Here is a link to your driver page. I would try the section on Driver -Chipsets. Intel Management Engine Interface Driver should help. Restart the Notebook after the install. I hope something here helps you. Thanks.

  • Lost my customizations after upgrade from 29.0 to 29.0.1

After upgrading my version of Firefox from 29.0 to 29.0.1 on the Mac, my toolbar settings (order of the bars, icons vs. text, etc.) seem to be gone or have reverted to default. How do I get them back?

Through some additional searching, I discovered that the ability to have text-only buttons was removed in version 29, which means my upgrade must have been from 28.
I installed [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/ Classic Theme Restorer] to attempt to get this capability back, but it completely messed up my toolbar. Plus, I don't like the idea of having to install a plug-in with tons of options and questionable future compatibility just to get back a simple feature that has long been a part of the application.
So, I have reverted to Firefox 28 while I look for another browser. Combined with long-standing performance issues, this was really the last straw for me. Believe it or not, text on buttons dramatically helps workflow, as is supported by significant UI research, and making them text-only saves space. I can't imagine why this capability was eliminated.

PDF Pack has nothing to do with printing. That continues to be part of Adobe Reader and is not affected by it.

  • Upgrading from just Muse to full Creative Cloud?

How would I go about doing this? And is it still in the usage agreement that I CANNOT use two computer at the same time with one Creative Cloud subscription? I always have my laptop and desktop running at the same time and switch back and forth. This would be a major PIA and deal breaker.
    Thanks

Thanks Jeff. I did read through the posts once prior to my posting. I am reading through it again. I apologize for my frustration, Adobe is a great company, I still think that the issue is a little wonky and heavy-handed on Adobe's part. I just see potential issues.
I think if you buy into CC, those two copies on your two machines should be strictly enforced. I agree. But as long as your two copies are in fact only installed on two machines, Adobe's enforcement of it's EULA should stop there. What if I was to bring in a designer friend, (or maybe a starving student who can't quite yet afford Adobe CS, lol.) to help me with a big project, I bring him in and he uses my equipment to help meet a huge deadline. I am on my laptop and he is working on my desktop. That would be a violation of the EULA? That seems ridiculous.
It's my software, I pay for monthly. That's like saying, if I hired someone to help me with a construction job, they could not use my tools, they would have to provide their own hammer. Any agency or anywhere I have worked, I don't provide my own tools. Am I the only one who thinks this is bogus?? Do I really get two copies or not? Doesn't feel like it. Feels very heavy-handed on Adobe's part.

  • Ir remote does'not function after upgrading from Vista to Windows 7

I just upgraded to Windows 7 Pro from Vista Home Premium. I was able to get most of my drivers to work; however, I was not able to find th edrivers/software for my IR remote control. Has anyone else figured this issue out, or what drivers/software I should get fix the error? Thank you.

ArtAppreciator,  I have the same problem. Installed Windows 7 and now my HP USB TV Tuner is not working. Worked fine on Vista. I can get passed the signal setup but get an error when Media Center tries to detect the IR receiver. Any thoughts?

  • Will I lose my gallery of photos if I upgrade from my Lightroom 3 to creative cloud for photographers?

I bought Lightroom 3 a few years ago and love it! I'm looking to purchase Photoshop as well which makes the photographer package work best for me at $9.99/month.
Will I lose my gallery of photos on my account when I upgrade to the CC?
Is it possible to download both applications on more than one device (desktop, laptop, and tablet)? That would be great for my busy lifestyle.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Not sure what the account is with the gallery of photos on so hard to say.
You certainly won't lose anything you currently have edited with LR3.  When you first open your old LR3 catalogue with the new version you'll be asked to upgrade the catalogue so it's compatible with LR5 but you'll still have the old catalogue too should you wish to go back to LR3.
The CC licence allows you to have the software on two devices. Unless the tablet is an iPad in which case you can also LR Mobile on it as part of the Photographer's CC package too.  You can't use the full versions of LR on three platforms on one CC licence though, no.

  • Upgrading from CS 5.5 to Creative Cloud

I currently have CS 5.5. If I want to upgrade JUST InDesign, will I still be able to use the other programs in the suite?

I am considering the upgrade, but as a semi-retired freelancer, it is an expensive proposition. I have client accounts that require Illustrator and InDesign, but really don't need a Photoshop upgrade. My InDesign client receives his product as an interactive pdf. The Illustrator clients need vector art for flexo. Not sure my volume with either can justify the full Suite upgrade.
    Do you have any advice?
    Thanks!

  • .PS file generating a blank PDF after upgrade from Acrobat Pro 7 to 9

    Hi All,
I've searched for this in vain so I'm comming to you now in desperation. My boss has tasked me with tracking down this error and I have to be honest, I'm a little bit green with Acrobat Pro. So coming into the situation I know this. My department used to use a .ps file to build a publication into a PDF from other .ps files. We operate on a network share (the P: drive) on Windows XP SP3 machines with the latest updates.
In Acrobat Pro 7 we could double click the  .ps file which executed the below code through Adobe Distiller and a  finished PFD of the same file name would be output to the host  directory. But now, after upgrading to Adobe Acrobat 9, this process  only produces a PDF with all of the appropriate bookmarks and none of the content.
% PostScript program for distilling and combining multiple PostScript files.

    An observation -
It looks like you are dealing with files that reflect someone's work with the pdfmark Reference (associated with Distiller).
As with Acrobat Security, JavaScript and the Acrobat SDK the 'how-to' from these all undergo changes with each new Acrobat release.
I suspect that the coding, while adequate for back when Acrobat 7 was new on the street, may have to be updated to comply with what the Distiller provided with Acrobat 9 supports.
Use the link for pdfmark Reference
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/wwdistiller.html
The Acrobat Developer Center ( http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat.html ) provides a hub to the myriad of "under-the-hood" aspects of Acrobat.
    Be well...

  • PDF files won't open after upgrade from 9 to 10 or 11

After upgrading from Reader 9 to Reader 10, I lost the ability to open PDF files on my Win 7 laptop.  Even the icons became blank white blocks. I reinstalled Reader 9 and it all worked as usual. In trying Reader 11, it happened again.  Any thoughts?

Thank you for your reply. Allow me to clarify.
After installing Reader 10 or 11, the icons for PDFs on my desktop changed from the typical PDF icon to a blank white icon like when the extension of a file has been changed or omitted. Double clicking the icon no longer opens the PDF file. Yes, Reader opens but I no longer was able to open any preexisting PDF files using the new version of Reader. I did try changing away from protected mode to no avail.
I do not have a screen shot as I have downgraded to Reader 9. I have scanned thoroughly for malware and viruses and none have been found.
Thank you again. I look forward to your further comments.

I am attempting to upgrade from Adobe Premier Elements 9 to Adobe Premier Elements 13 after using 13's trial version for a few weeks.  I am unable to find where and how to do this without losing the project I have been working on.  Please help?

    Vere Clarke
Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 and Premiere Elements 13 are standalone products.
So, you can have both on the same computer, but only open one for your work.
The classical recommendation is to finish a project in the version in which it was created since there
is no guarantee that a project from an earlier version will open in the later version. Probably will, but
no guarantees. And, when you do explore this, do it from a copy of the earlier version project. Once you
take the earlier version project into a later version one, you cannot go back to edit the later version edited
project in the earlier version program.
If you have both versions (9 and 13) on the same computer and you have not moved, deleted, renamed any of the version 9's files/folders,
right click the saved closed Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 project file, select Open With, and then Adobe Premiere Elements 13.
(Your 9.0/9.0.1 saved closed project file should be found in Libraries/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Elements/9.0.)
Please review and consider. If any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to let me know.
    Thank you.
