Lost Mobile Network connection after using wi-fi

Hello,
After i used a wifi connection for the first time on my 8350, i can no longer get email or use the "internet" unless i am connected to a wi-fi device.
I have deleted the wi-fi profile, re-regisered on the host routing table and tried many hard restarts.
I can't get email, bbmessenger or anything other than SMS or Phone calls unless i am connected to wi-fi.
Please help me get my mobile network back.

Hi Blgoodie,
I have only the vaguest idea what's wrong. But a system restore should fix this problem, so try that first.

  • HELP - IM UNABLE TO USE MY MOBILE NETWORK CONNECTION

guys i need your help. Im unabble to use my mobile network connection in spite of all the directives given by the various institutions. I was told by an expert that this has happened to a few BB10 users and that if I did not receive mobile network connection right after inserting my sim, there's no chance that I'll ever get to use my mobile network to browse . I am however able to use the wifi. Please reply help if you have any idea what i can do

Probably not, for the data plan.
You need to CALL them and MAKE SURE you have the data plan actually on your account, not just assume it.
And this has nothing to do with pins on the SIM card missing etc., since your SIM is actually working.

    Hi ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!
I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your HP ENVY TouchSmart 15-j001tx Notebook and the Touch display doesn't respond to touch after a Windows 10 update. If your computer is having problems finding and installing operating system updates, try using the Windows Update Troubleshooting tool to fix the problem. Here is a document that shows how to update drivers that are not working correctly with Windows 10. Here is a link to your driver page. I would try the section on Driver -Chipsets. Intel Management Engine Interface Driver should help. Restart the Notebook after the install. I hope something here helps you. Thanks.

  • Satellite Pro U400 - Lost network connection after suspend

I have a Toshiba Dynadock. My network is connect directly in dynadock.
When suspend my Satellite Pro U400 and after restart for continue working I lost my network connection. Then I shutdown my computer and disconnect/connect Dynadock I can continue working.
    What's the problem?
    Version software Dynadock is 2.0

    Hi
I see you have switched from Vista to XP.
First of all I recommend updating the BIOS.
As Im not mistaken you should find a newer BIOS version on the Toshiba European driver page.
Then you have to update the Win XP to the latest state!
The XP should be up to date and all service packs, patches and MS fixes should be installed in your notebook.
Then access the device manager and mark in every USB root hub you have to disable the option called Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
You can find this option in properties -> Power management tab

  • No network connection after install on a VirtualBox VM

Hey guys, I am a relative newb to Arch, and linux in general for that matter. I'm working on a project with pogo plugs and Arch seems to be the best linux solution for those at the moment so I figured it would do me some good to get it running on my desktop so I can become more familiar with it.
I'm attempting to install it on a VirtualBox vm following the beginners install guide. I get all the way through the install and reboot into my shiny new OS, but have run into the issue where I can't do any further package updates as I have lost my network connection. The beginners guide specifies a way to configure this so it it is persistent once the install is done.
I can issue the systemctl enable "dhcpcd@<interface>.service" command with my interface as eth0 (verified by ip link) "[email protected]", but once I reboot into the fresh install ip link tells me my interface is actually enp0s3. If I rerun the dhcp enable command again with enp0s3 as the interface it executes without error, but I still do not have network.
I tried using ifplugd during the install process during one of my go-arounds, but ifplugd was not able to install as none of the files appear to be available, perhaps that server is down?
Can anyone shed some light on what I might be doing wrong? I'm guessing it's something very simple that I am missing, hopefully someone here can catch it.

I was stuck at this problem, as in topic header. I looked at this post, thought that finally I found the solution(was referring to one more post). Then I tried following steps as mentioned in #3. OMG, I tried it for more than hour, couldn't get it working. Then i get one hint, i.e, the interface name is not enps03 but its enp0s3 ... Okay, again i tried, but still it did not work... this time i was little more cautious, so after few attempts, looked at my command, i had been typing [email protected], I don't know why such confusing naming conventions are followed, there are two files under /lib/systemd/system/ that are like dhcpd.* .. but this one particular file is dhcpcd@.*... well.. that's it. I just had to laugh at myself.

  • FP1600 loses network connection after a few hours

My FP1600 loses its network connection after a few hours. It is part number 185690C-01, with firmware 4.11. I am running FieldPoint Explorer version 3.0.1 and LabView 6.1 from Windows XP Professional. I set it up, and everything runs fine for 4 hours or more. I do not have the network watchdog enabled, and the FP1600 is in constant communication with the host computer in any case. Sometime in the middle of the night the communication is lost. The FP1600 link light
is on, and it is still receiving packets, but it will not respond to a ping or any other communications. Only a power cycle brings it back. The FP1600 is sitting right next to the host computer, both attached to the same network switch. There is no interruptio
n of network services to the two.

    Hi Heinz,
We are also trying to troubleshoot this same problem (Intermitten network connection loss with FP1600 Ethernet Module - Error code "33163", Error Message - "FP1600 Connection to module has been lost."). We have checked other possible causes for this sort of behaviour. Including independent assessment of netowork availability at the time of error reporting, connecting dedicated power supply to the FP1600 module, temperature of cabinet housing the module (which is between 10 and 50 deg C), disconnecting sensors connected to various I/O modules connected to this module, increasing duration of parameter "time out" (the time module will wait before reporting an error if it can not access network). However, none of the above resolved the intermittent and random network loss errors.
The MAX version is 3.0.2, and the firmware on the module is 4.17, Labview version is 7.0 and the Operating System is windows NT.
I was wondering is there any information about this problem from any user or NI recently. The only solution looking in to this discussion forum seems to be replacing the module.

  • Fascinate lost network connection after last Froyo update.

Anyone know how to fix this issue. After updating to the knew froyo upate last month my sons phone lost network connection and won't connect. It doesn't even show up in the settings for him to be able to connect. He can still make calls and connect but nothing data wise. Plus he still gets missed calls so that update never worked for him either. Please help and thanks.

I understand how frustrating this must be. My personal device had this problem and I found a solution that worked for me. Hopefully it will work for you as well.
    1. Put the device in Airplane mode (hold power button and select airplane mode)
    2. Wait 3 minutes for changes to take effect. You should see the airplane icon in the notification bar as well as the airplane lock screen.
    3. Power the device off and wait 15 seconds.
    4. Power the device on. Once sense loads, turn airplane mode off.
    5. In the settings>Wireless & Networks Menu, check the box entitled "Mobile Network"
    6. Everything should re-provision and data should be restored.
If the steps above do not resolve you issue you may want to try a master reset. Resetting the phone deletes all data, including downloaded applications, and resets the phone back to its initial state—the state before you turned on the phone for the first time.
Important: Make sure to back up important data you have on the phone before you reset your device.
    Master Reset:
From the home screen, touch Menu
    Touch Settings
    Touch SD & phone storage
    Touch Factory data reset
    Tap Reset phone
    Tap Erase everything
Reset may take anywhere from 1 - 10 minutes for reset and restart depending on amount of data on device.
I hope this information has been helpful.

  • Lost network connection after SW update

First time poster, relative newbie to Mac. I blindly updated to 10.4.11 and then found that my Mini had no network connection, yet my Ministack external FW HD and WinXP (thru BootCamp) will still connect wirelessly to my Westel router which has not been touched throughout this ordeal. My network is still shown and even offered to me for use during boot, but fails to connect. I have thrown every switch I can find in sys prefs to no avail. I have been asked for a WEP password, but security is switched off (in prefs and router), and I never used a PW before. I've spent hours Googling this topic, but can't find an exact match to my situation. I don't have the Mac knowledge to undo the update, or even know if it can be done. I can't understand how the bootable external HD can share the connection, but the "host" computer can't use it. Gotta be a setting wrong somewhere, eh? Please help.

A warm welcome to the forums!
Tons of similar posts, but not too many with the same cause fix.
If you haven't done regular maintenence like Disk validate/repair, Permissions fixes, etc, ete.
Then you Might give a try with Applejack...
    http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/19596
After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, then when the prompt shows, type in...
    applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 5 things it does are...
    Correct any Disk problems.
    Repair Permissions.
    Clear out Cache Files.
    Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.

When I stop working with laptop I usually close monitor and when next time open laptop computer lost network connection.
Then I have to renew IP config and internet start working.
Does anybody know why and how to avoid this?
End I still want to use standby options.
    Tnx for any idea

    Hi
In your case I recommend updating the BIOS and to enable the option Wake up on LAN in BIOS and in the Vista.
In Vista you can enable this in device manager -> LAN card properties -> Advanced tab
Additionally a LAN driver update would be advisable.

  • Lost network connection after update

I waited a little long to update (~4 months) and am paying the price.  The recent update broke X as well as my network connection (and who knows what else!).  When I type ls /sys/class/net/, all I get is lo@.  I'm a little rusty with Arch as I was really really busy with school.  Do you have any suggestions for fixing this?  Here is my rc.conf if it helps:

    dmesg | tail
and didn't see anything about a usb being registered by the system.
Neither ifconfig or ip are installed.  So that is also a considerable issue.  Is all hope lost other than getting a live CD of ubuntu, spending a day copying files off of the hard drive and reinstalling?
Sorry, I must have been really tired when I typed this.  Both programs (ifconfig, and ip) are in /sbin/.  I'm betting I tried 'sudo su' and they weren't on the path and being out of it, I assumed the wrong thing.  I'm going to try and mount a usb again to see if I messed that up as well...
I still don't have an eth1 or eth0.  But maybe all hope is not lost.
    Update:
No device nodes are created in /dev/ for usb drives, and my computer won't even power them unless I do it at boot.  I also noticed that my keyboard doesn't work at all during grub.

I am wondering if the kernel on the boot partition somehow did not get upgraded when we moved up to 2.6.2939
Yeah it does.  So no luck there.

  • [SOLVED] Losing network connection after suspend

Lately I'm having this peculiar problem.  When resuming after suspend (specifically, pm-suspend), I have no network connection.  I first noticed this on March 31st.  The only thing that changed was that I upgraded these packages:
    openssl-1.0.1-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
    xf86-video-ati-6.14.4-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
    lib32-libdrm-2.4.33-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
    libnotify-0.7.5-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
    xz-5.0.3-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
    vim-taglist-45-5-any.pkg.tar.xz
But I'm pretty sure I would have suspended and resumed successfully at least once after that upgrade.
Can anyone suggest what I should look at to try to diagnose this?
    Thanks

Same issue here. Looks like dhcpcd crashes during or after running /usr/lib/dhcpcd/dhcpcd-run-hooks on resume from suspend. I'll try downgrading until this is fixed.
