Lost money on account

BEWARE -
I had $10 in my account, added a $25 gift card so I SHOULD have had $35 - iTunes took my $10 and I only have $25 in my account.
Spend everything in your account BEFORE you attempt to add money to it, or Apple just takes what you had.
Merry Christmas!

Not a very informative post.
What did the iTunes store tell you when you contacted them about this?

  • Lost money on iTunes!

Okay, so today I went on my iTunes and checked to see how much money was in my account. It displayed the amount and I noticed it wasn't the amount that I used to have. I never bought anything and I lost money. I was confused so I exited iTunes and reopened it. The amount had changed again. By this time I was freaking out about how I was losing money. I quickly went and changed my password. Can anyone tell me what's going on.

    Just sign into your account.
The money is in the account, not the computer.

  • HT204053 I have 2 Itunes accounts, one I don't use with money in the account, can I combine that money or account into the account I currently use?

You can access, usually under the Apple (icon) menu in the main desktop
window, note item with name "About this Mac" & click on that, to see more
information about your computer, its OS X version, and other. The system
version and build model are there. Do not post a serial number.
If you are setting up Mail in a Mavericks OS X 10.9.x system, there often
is access to information in the Help viewer from the main menu bar, or
in an open mail application. If you have a Gmail or other account, that
info is often on their home page where setup and help are located.
    The settings of each email account may vary according to their provider;
so you would have to change your computer to accept them. An older
link to a general look at that issue, change IMAP to POP, is covered here:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/16770816#16770816
While that may not answer your question, you could use the info in
your Mac OS X system Help viewer and use its search; or maybe
a Spotlight search to see an answer online.
You have to learn some basic things in order to actually use these...
and it helps to expand that so you won't have to pay for tech service
on things you can do yourself in a few minutes, beyond easy stuff.
Of course, you're hearing this from a guy with no ISP email, ever.
So mine are web-mail only; & I never save email to a computer.
PS: If you have a new Mac with an AppleCare plan, you may be able
contact Support for help. Ask someone (for 90 days, or up to 3 years
if the Plan was extended) there at AppleCare, for their guidance.

  • Windows 8 upgrade lost all my account settings

I just upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 8 and it deleted my Thunderbird program. SO, I reinstalled it but I've lost all my account settings and e-mail folders.
I stored my e-mail folders in another location, and they're still on my harddisk, but I no longer see an option for controlling where the e-mails are stored in this version of T-bird.
Do I have to manually recreate all my e-mail accounts again? And, after that...how do I get it to read my e-mail folders? I have thousands of e-mails that I must have access to. This is a disaster!
    Please help.
    Thank you so much!

Thank you for your reply, but I don't think I was clear with the problem. I can find the account settings option. The problem is everything that was there before I installed Windows 8 is gone. I have to manually re-enter all my e-mail accounts, but all of my old e-mails are not showing up. I can get new e-mails (if I re-enter all the account information), but I have thousands of old e-mails and folders that I cannot access.
How do I get those folders back "into" Thunderbird? It doesn't allow me to import anything. I am only given the option to import from Outlook, and I don't even have outlook.
I was storing (at least I THINK I was storing) my e-mail files on a separate partition of my hard disk, and I THINK it's all still there, but there's no way to access those files for some reason on my newly installed Thunderbird.

Create an account for him. and use that.
Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure you specify a birthdate that results in being at least 13 years old

  • HT201209 have money in account but wants me to put in credit card info

I have just redemmed $ 15.00 so my amount is now $16.61 in account and I try to purchase songs and it asks me to put in credit card information because I don't have enough money in account.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Are you sure it intends taking the purchase from the credit card and doesn't just want payment information on record.

  • Accidentally created two accounts, LOST MONEY ON SECOND ACCOUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've emailed the support group ten times and they haven't been able to remedy my problem yet. I was trying to use two gift cards and must have created two accounts(i don't remeber doing this) and now I have lost all the money that was left on the card in the second account. iTunes support knows that it is there, but cannot help me get to it, and they cannot apparently credit my accessible account with the lost funds. I am throughly frustrated and unconfident of iTunes from this incident. Any suggestions?

I have two accounts, same user and credit card, but one is for me the other for my wife. Ok I can log in, but when I go to make a purchase it tells me that the address isn’t a valid US address, but it is a valid address, and it’s the address I use for my billing address, in fact, it’s the same address I used with this account in the past and I had no problems. I hope you can resolve this issue.

  • Lost money in iTunes account

I first got my iTunes account perhaps 7 years ago, and I've only ever purchased my songs on iTunes using redeemed money from iTunes gift cards. That is, I'd put money on my account and replenish it when I used it all- simple. However, I recently moved my computer and I think that, as a result, I was signed out of my account. When I went back into my account, I noticed that all my money was gone. There was about $50 worth of money in that account, and I need to get this money back into my account. Please help.
I reviewed another thread that addressed a similar situation, though all it recommended was going to Apple's support website and didn't specify further. Would it be possible to get a more detailed solution? Thanks.
In addition, if someone could provide me with an email address I could use to personally send my message to someone in customer service if this thread doesn't prove helpful, I'd appreciate that.

The best way to find out what happened here would be to contact iTunes Store support.  In order to do that you would open iTunes, click on iTunes Store.  Then click your name in the upper right corner, that will take you to your account page.  You may be prompted to enter your password at this point.  Then go down to the 3rd section where it says Purchase History.  Click See All, then click the button for Report a Problem at the bottom of that page.
Hope they get you sorted out.

  • Lost money in my app account

There  are several of us missing money in our app accounts. We put I gift cards and go to use them and it says there is not eough money in the account. We check if the gift card worked. And that was not the problem.  There is a problem. I am the only person using the account.   I am afraid to buy any more gift cards.
I even drove back to the store where I. bought the gift card, they said it was not the card. please check this out. There are several people having this trouble.

We're not Apple here, just users like you.
What are you trying to use the gift cards for?  You can't, for example, use them to buy more storage in icloud.

  • I lost money on my iTunes account?

I was scrolling through the iTunes store with $21 in my account, just looking at some music. I did not purchase anything, then after a while my account said $8.01. I looked through my purchase history and it said the latest purchase was something for free. Can I get my money back? Where did it even go?
