Just sync it.
It will erase the current content form the iphone and replace with content from the new computer, so make sure that you have copied everything from the old one or your backup copy of your old computer.

If icloud.com does not have any contacts (log in using a browser), then they are gone. Your only hope is to restore to your computer the missing files from a computer backup, like Time machine on a mac. Otherwise, do you have the contacts still active on some other device?

1. I uninstalled WSUS, removed DB, restarted. And reinstall WSUS again. This time MS Management Console of WSUS could not be started. I did it after WSUS was added following your blog pix.
I checked c:\program files\update services, there were couple of missing directories by comparison what was in case when I installed WSUS after SQL but before CM: Tools, Shema, and another A.. something. I saw this issue on NOOB. And people copied these
directories from previous installation.
How we can explain this behavior on RTM version?
Then I uninstalled it again. And give another try... Here I found another interesting thing. Please compare your slide number 5 from your link and attached one. You can see that on Add Roles and Features Wizard page are missing items. Some
of them were found in next screen of my installation (I am using RTM server) but one API and Power shell cmdlets were not listed on final screen before start install. May be those are note important...
I reinstall again... and the MS Management Console fails again. Exactly the same thing that I saw during 2 weeks of trying to make works. Don't see what I can screw up here.
What about missing directories after reinstalling WSUS. Is that normal? And in IIS there is no WSUS.

As with the Mail app on a Mac, the iPhone's Mail app stores all email recipients in a list of previous recipients which is separate from the address book or contacts. The email address autofill feature when addressing an message pulls from Contacts and from the list of previous recipients.
Different from the Mail app on a Mac, there is no access to the list of previous recipients with iOS on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad to remove a previous recipient from the list, or to add a previous recipient to the address book or contacts that is not already entered - not at the present time anyway.
The only way to purge the list of previous recipients at the present time is by restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, which will start being re-populated again with every sent message.

I have exactly the same problem on my ipad. It is happening on only some contacts but, as with you, when I delete one of the contacts on the ipad, the second ipad contact and the contact on the imac are also deleted. This is even the case when I have differentiated the two contacts on the ipad and can see the one I have deleted on the ipad is not the same one as is then deleted on the imac.

Backup do not contain apps (or any media). As far as your contacts go, Apple isn't crystal clear on this ... they seem to indicate that only your Favorites and recent call history is backed up, not your entire set of contacts. To play it safe, backup or transfer your contacts to your computer in case they do not come back after re-loading your backup. There are apps available that can export/import contacts for you.

Apps are tied to the Apple Id they were purchased with. So any updates for the Apps will ask for that apple ID to update.
The only way to prevent this is if you remove all the Apps that were purchased with your ID from the iPad.

I've just updated my iphone5 to i0s7.1.2 and now I've lost most of my contacts. I cant do a back up from a older 'backup' as iTunes is only listing the backup done today - I desperately need to get my contacts back, can anyone help me please :-(

Had the same problem. Freaked me out since I am away from my computer. Go to Settings, iCloud, and turn ON Contacts. Presto! Within a few minutes, your contacts will return (as long as you had them backed up to iCloud).
