Lost movies ,can i sync back from iphone4 to mac

i had movies on my iphone that were on my mac (self made movies)
there are still on my iphone but are no longer in my itunes.
the folder is on my hard drive but no longer contains any files. this has happened to 5 other movies and the only copy is on my phone.
i have not synced my phone in case itunes wipes (??) my only copy
so the question is ....can i copy from the iphone back to my hard drive or itunes without lossing the only copy ??????

You might try turning contact syncing off in settings> iCloud, hopefully this will offer you the opportunity to save your contacts on your iPad and move them to them on my iPod account. If you are able to do this then you might connect the iPad to iTunes and sync them that way back to your computer, so that you can back them up before doing anything else.

Favor the route via iTunes and local storage on the computer. MUCH faster than any cloudy backup, no matter the speed of your Internet connection. No network beats the speed of a hard drive. Working on that now. I'm just getting frustrated that everytime I run updates for the phone I end up with tech problems that I have to spend time solving as opposed to updates that actually improve my usage. Now I will once again get to spend hours reloading my phone all for updates that didn't affect my usage in the first place.

There is no separate Notes app in OS X. If you select to sync notes on the Info pane, they will sync to the Mail app: Mail>Reminders>Notes.

You cannot downgrade the iOS, there is no supported method.
Google streetview was not lost, Google Maps were removed from iOS6 and replaced with Apple Maps.

I just upgraded from an old Pentium computer to a new Dell XPS 18 running Windows 8.1. Downloaded latest version of iTunes to the new computer, then successfully transferred library content from the old computer to the new one via the external hard drive method. All material -- iTunes purchases, music ripped from CDs, a movie, even MP3 files purchased long ago from another source -- transferred successfully; everything plays on the new computer just fine.
My problem is that the "old" playlists didn't transfer over. After connecting my iPod Touch to the new computer, I verified that the iPod has the latest version of iOS, and its content (including the old/original playlists) displays in the window on the left-hand side of the iTunes screen. The really frustrating thing is that I can find no way to transfer the old playlists to my new iTunes library. I've tried dragging and dropping, selecting and pasting, and exploration of all the options menus, but no luck. Creating a new playlist in the new library and then clicking on the "Add To" button opens up a window into which to drop dragged songs/folders from the new library listing, but simultaneously closes the left-hand display window with all of my iPod's current playlists depicted.
I appear successfully to have backed up my iPod to the new computer, but all the sync menu options are grayed out. When I tried clicking on the Sync button, I got a warning that syncing to the new library would erase everything from the old library -- presumably obliterating my playlists with it. I have about a dozen different playlists, some of them with several hundred songs, drawn from a library of a few thousand individual items. Is there some means of importing/transferring the old playlists to the new computer/library, so that I don't manually have to drag and drop hundreds and hundreds of songs into a new set of playlists? Am I overlooking something really obvious or simple? Can I safely turn on Home Sharing and then import or paste the old playlists into the new computer's library. I don't think I'm too much of a Luddite, but given the size of my library I'm very leery of turning on Home Sharing (to the old Pentium computer) after I've successfully transferred over many GBs of content from the old machine to the new.

If you do not have a back up of the crashed hard drive you can download an app to copy from the iPhone to iTunes on the new hard drive.
I have used Pod2Mac. There is also Pod2PC.

Can't sync photos from ipad that I synced from another computer... I want to have them on my computer.
Why isn't there a way to do this? I don't get it. Sharing photos is such an important thing I don't understand why Apple makes it so hard to do this.
OK here is my senario:
Recently went on a trip Hong Kong with someone... we both had iphones and took hundreds of awesome photos. Now we want to share them with eachother. Too many photos for email and I don't wish to upload to flicker/facebook/etc...
This is what I did thinking it should work...
1) synced photos on her iphone with her computer
2) synced photos on MY iphone with her computer
3) put ALL the hong kong photos in one album
4) connected my ipad to her computer... attempted to copy photos from iphoto to ipad -- NOPE, can't be done (***?!?!)
5) so I synced the photos (and only the photos) in the hong kong album using itunes to my ipad -- this worked -- all photos now on my ipad
6) drove home (5 hours away) and connected ipad to my computer and attempted to import with iphoto -- NOPE, can't be done (***!?!?) Won't even show the photos.
7) itunes wants to replace all the photos on my ipad with the photos from my computer (***?!?!)
How are you suppose to do this?! How are you suppose to be able to share lots of photos with people?

Photos are not copied off the iPad via iTunes.
For photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
For photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer (which has a free lite version called Simple Photo & Video Transfer) which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

If the photos have been synced to the iPad Air, you need an external app as JimHDK recommended. Or mail the photos, which will be tedious. To delete them from the iPad after transferring them, sync again with iTunes, but select no folders to sync.
If the photos have been taken with the iPad Camera, you can connect the iPad Air to your Mac using a USB cable and then to launch Image Capture or iPhoto to transfer the photos. But that will not transfer synced photos.

I have only tried one pdf file which downloaded wonderfully to the iPhone. I synced to the PC without the PC being connected to the email account. This also worked except that when I tried to open the attachment on the PC I got a message that the mail wasn't fully downloaded. When I went on=line on the PC, it downloaded the attachment. No it is not. The only information synced regarding email accounts is the email account information only and this is in one direction only - from your computer to the iPhone via iTunes.
