Lost music downloaded on Iphone which had to be restored

I downloaded a load of music through itunes on my iphone, and hadnt backed up for a couple of months. My phone died and I had to restore it losing loads of music.
Is there a way of redownloading it without having to pay out again?

You could try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. Congratulations on recently purchasing an iPhone! I have the iPhone myself and love it, so I am sure you will as well. In regards to downloading music on your device, the best way to complete this task is going to be going through iTunes or the Apple App store. The Apple App store should have several 3rd party applications you can download music and play on your device. In addition any music that you have saved in your iTunes library can be synced and transfered to youre device.

How do I transfer itunes music to my iphone 4 without using the restore from this backup function? I cannot use the back up function as have been advised that therer are bugs in it and restoring it back to my phone will bring the bugs with it and phone will be back to apple again as will start playing up again. But I need the music. Whn I plug it in laptop and go to itunes icon it gives me 2 options: Set up as new iphone? OR Restore from backup.
Do I pick set up as new phone? I dont know as the guy at the genius bar told me there would be an option asking if i want to sync itunes only...but there isn't.

Set up as New and then... Re-Sync your Content from iTunes.

Launch itunes on your computer, Store>Check for Available Downloads...then sync to your phone.

Lost Music Downloaded Wirelessly... Help!

Quick background... I'm staying with friends, and my desktop is in storage, and my desktop is my main computer for my iTunes account. It's where I keep all of my music. I have recently made my laptop my second computer that can function with my iPod, and I added a couple of videos to it. However, once I added these videos, I lost all of the songs that I have downloaded WIRELESSLY from iTunes. All of my music from my desktop (all 12 gigs) is still on the iPod, but the 8 or so songs I've purchased while staying with my friends is gone. Anyone have any idea how to remedy this?

When you say that you've downloaded wirelessly through iTunes, are you referring to songs downloaded via the iTunes wi fi store on an iPod touch or iPhone? If so, the next time you have songs on the device that are not in iTunes, you may want to try the following (just to be safe) prior to connecting the device to the computer.
1. In iTunes click Edit > Preferences > Syncing tab
2. Select the option to disable automatic syncing and click OK
Connect the device and click File > Transfer Purchases from iPod
Regarding the lost songs, I would email iTunes Store support and explain what happened. They should be able to help you get these songs back, in a pinch.

Lost music purchased on iphone!

I have my phone set to manually manage my music, and I recently bought a song on the phone, later connecting to my computer and hitting sync, to sync my contacts and presumably the purchased music. Now I cannot find the song on either the phone or the computer. Anyone?

I have had this happen a couple of times. Call customer care and let them know the situation. They will add the song into your account queue to be available for download the next time you start iTunes.

'cannot play' music downloaded to iPhone 4s

I downloaded songs to my iPhone 4s and went well. I downloaded some more and they had a little button beside them in the Songs List. I tapped the song title and a window came up saying "Cannot Play then Connect to a Wi-Fi network to play. You can enable cellular playback in Settings." I tapped the 'button' beside the song title and the song DISAPPEARED! It only does this on some songs I downloaded the other day. All other songs are playable on my phone. Why?

Music downloads on iphone

I downloaded music from Itunes on my Iphone. It played. It didnt automatically download to Itunes on my PC. I then connected the Iphone to my PC and it downloaded to the PC but now it won't play on the PC or the Iphone. I get a message on the PC saying that I need to authorize the PC for it to play. I have done that and still getting the same message.
Help!!!!

good question, I am not sure but I have done it before with no problems - not sure why I am having problem now. How do I find that out? I know I have one acct on the PC.

Deleting music from my iphone which has been deleted from itunes on my mac

Hi,
When I downloaded Angry Birds from the Mac store, the sound effects appeared in my itunes library on my Mac. I have deleted them from the itunes library on my mac, but they are still on my iphone. ANy ideas on how I can delete them will be gratefully received!

How do I to recover lost files on the iPhone 4 due to a restore?

This past weekend, my iphone 4 suddenly stop sending and recieveing calls then wouldn't do anything until I restore it on itunes. So I restored it but since my phone hasen't been synced recently, I lost several songs and apps that I paid for and several photos/videos too. I really don't want to have to purchase those apps and songs again. So, if it is possible to recover those files and whoever knows how to do it; please respond to this as soon as possible.

1. (You KNOW what's coming) NEVER restore or update any device without backing up/syncing first.
2. You can re-download virtually all apps without paying again.
3. SOL for music/media from iTunes - you'll have to pay again.
4. Photos and any other data/files on the phone which were lost cannot be recovered. There are no data recovery methods for iPhones.

Can I delete backup data from my old iPhone which I used to restore my new iphone 5?

My iphone 4S was stolen, and I had to get a new phone. I had all my data backed up on icloud and it was easy to set up my new iphone 5 and getting all my data back, however, I still have my old'd phone backup data on my icloud and it's been taking up space (about 4gb) of data. Can I delete this data? Will it delete my iphone5's data as well, as I used it to restore all settings?

Hello, I am trying to reregister my Photoshop CS on my laptop, which had to be restored to its original factory defaults. I am unable to re-activate using my product key. I have been able to do so before when I've had to restore my laptop. Please help.

I want to upload music to my iPhone, but it is synced to a dead computer. iTunes says that I can't add new music until I de-authorize the other comp (which I can't). Any suggestions?

You will have to upgrade your operating system version and possibly your whole computer. We cannot provide more information easily until we know more about your system.
Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac", then "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).
Apple does tell you about required equipment for the iPhone -- in 8 point medium gray type on a light gray box. The Store associates kind of automatically assume everybody is running a new model computer and the one I met when we bought our iPhone had never seen a pre-2008 Mac and was somewhat puzzled why anybody would own such an antique.
