  • I lost my Beats Audio

I downgraded my HP Envy dv7 Notebook PC to Windows 7 and installed a SDD.  Now, my  Beats Audio drives and display are now missing.  I don't see the drivers for it online for my product. Please help!

Hi there , I understand that you downgraded your system to Windows 7, and now you no longer have the Beats Audio software. Please post the full product number for your notebook. See the following, if you need help with that information.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Normally the Beats Audio is a part of a package, including the Operating System for a specific model. It may not be available for a different OS for that system.

    can you please help me?

    Hi,
Try using Recovery Manager to reinstall your original IDT HD Audio driver ( this will also reinstall the Beats gui ) - the procedure for using recovery manager to reinstall Software and Drivers is detailed in the relevant document on the link below.
    Recovery Manager - Windows 8.
    Recovery Manager - Windows 7
    Recovery Manager - Windows Vista
After the reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.

    Hi,
In that case, try the following.
Open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features, right click the entry 'HP System Event Utility' and select Uninstall.
When this has completed, restart the notebook and let Windows fully load for a few minutes.
Then download and install the version HP QuickLaunch Software on the following link.
    http://h30642.www3.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp56501-57000/sp56929.exe
When this installation has completed, restart the notebook again and let Windows fully load before checking the fn+b combination.

  • Envy17 64 bit beats audio sound lost completely

hi i own a 64bit i7 win7 envy 17 with beats audio, it has sudenly decided not to output any sound at all, i have tried to reinstall drivers but either thats not it or there is another issue.
i hav a intermittent sys fan issue also (90b) [i think] it is due to go to currys/pcworld for a maintenence checkup and clean or replace fan, which is right now working perfectly [lol] but is very noisy the second i use any programs requiring powerfull outputs like games, video etc [yes not great as is a new laptop]
i wanted to know if theres anything i can do to test or reinstall [and get the right drivers etc] the sounscard or if it may be down to heat issues caused by the fan, although today it is cooling fine yet i load a game etc and boom theres the noisy fan and temp rises. no sound at all from any speaker also i ran the sound test in windows from control panel and it shows sound being sent to speakers but i hear nothing not a peep.
this hapened after the fan issue and not before or at the same time, i just want sound!!?!! help please if u can )

Hello GB69. I understand you are having sound and fan issues. A cooling system error, especially System Error 90B, can cause other functions of the computer to stop functioning correctly. Your sound not working could be a resultant of this error. I'm going to provide you with an HP document to troubleshoot System Error 90B: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c03620929
Let me know if this troubleshooting helps you or not.

  • Lost Beats Audio Control Panel, Windows Experience Index and HP Power Manager on fresh install...

    HP Pavilion m6-1035dx, product B5S06UA#ABA
Please help! I installed a 240gb SanDisk Extreme SSD and a fresh install of Win 7 home premium 64-bit OEM. I did not reinstall the factory OS and all that goes along with it. I have managed to reinstall all drivers (it seems) but am having the following problems: 1) I have installed IDT HD Audio Driver sp56953 but it does not provide the Beats Audio control panel, any idea how to get it? 2) The Windows Experience Index will not provide a performance evaluation, something in the system is providing it with an error message when it attempts to rate the system and it stops. 3) I have installed HP Power Manager sp57398 and can bring up the control panel but the changes I indicate will not stay applied, when I bring up Power Manager again it show that no selections are made. I knew this fresh install was going to provide headaches, please help if you can. Thanks.

I suspect this may all be related to a common cause.
When updating the windows experience index, what is the error message you receive?
Has the video card driver been installed? It is necessary for the windows experience index to complete.
Also, ensure the HP Software Framework is installed.  It is under the Software Solutions category.
You did a clean install of Windows 7. Has all the software and drivers for Windows 7 from HP been installed? Here is a link should you need it.

  • Lost beats audio

Have an HP Pavilion dv6 running Win 7.  Was listening to Pandora in Firefox  -   went to Beats Audio to adjust sound.  On the Volume screen, I clicked on the white box at lower right of the third speaker volume control.  Sound stopped and I can't get it back.  Tried Reset to restore all default settings  - no effect.  On Listening Experience screen, Beats Audio is checked.  Help appreciated.

    Hi NeilBennett,
I would recommend that you just leave it for the moment if the sound is working. That SndTAudio is a third-party driver for sound and could be from another device you might have installed. The IDT driver is one that HP uses and normally when you see it with a AMD driver when you have switchable graphics but it doesn't appear as if yours does. The AMD driver is your main driver as you have an AMD card. If you have any further issues just post on this thread and I will get a notification.

  • Beats audio driver download for dv7 6100

Hello, I just installed windows 10 .  i lost everything on my pc. i reinstalled the idt drivers and found that i do not have beats audio anymore. the icon is there, but fails to open as it states start up program is missing.is there anywhere i can get the beats driver?

    Hi,
Unfortunately I don't think it's likely you would be able to create a viable image from the failed HDD, but if you can mount it internally, browse to the root of the C drive and look for a folder titled SWSETUP - this will contain nearly all the original software and driver installers that were bundled with your PC - and see if you can copy it to the Desktop.
However, there may also be another way of making the IDT installer select the correct configuration - can you let me know the following from Device Manager:
    1. The name of your PCs graphics hardware.
    2.  Expand Sound Video and Game Controllers, right click on the IDT device and select Properties.  Click the Details tab, choose Hardware Ids from the dropdown box and post back with the details shown under Value.

  • How to open and play music on Beats Audio in my new HP ENVY PC

I bought a new HP ENVY PC that comes with Beats Audio.
How to I open it and play music?
How to I import music to Beats Audio?
    Thanks fr your help

    Hi,
Beats audio does not provide a program for playing music. You can open Beats audio in Control Panel and configure sound characteristics using the various options available such as the graphics equalizer.
You can play music by opening Windows Media Player or using Cyberlink PowerDVD.
You can also "Google" media players for other programs.

My beats audio no longer works. When I try to open beats audio control panel up, it says the cannot find startup file.! I am not sure what happend. Hi,
As there is more than 1 IDT entry in Recovery Manager, cancel this and use the following method instead.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55094.exe
When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, restart the notebook and let Windows fully load.  Open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, restart the notebook again.

  • HP Pavilion p7-1421 Desktop PC BEATS AUDIO not working.

Hi, new here with thankfully my first problem with the desktop in the subject line.
Somewhere along the way, the Beats Audio stopped working correctly. The Equalizer
sliders will not move at all, and the "Test Speakers" button will highlight the left, then right
speaker, but no sound will be produced.
For background, I did install StartDoc, a program that gives one back the original Windows 7 "Start"
button and desktop. Other than that, I have not installed anything, except the reccommended HP upgrades.
Also, the machine is obviously running Windows 8, and I have NOT switched to 8.1.
I see on the Notebook page lots of questions re. Beats not working and solutions, but each user is asked
for the specific model, OS etc. This is why I chose to post a new thread, so that the experts can address
    my exact machine.
    Thanks in advance,
    John
