Lost My CF Administrator When Clustering
Need some help, please. I have two identical CF10 enterprise servers set up with IIS7 on Win2008. Each has 4 CF instances running. I decided to experiment with clustering as I''ve run previous version of CF as J2EE instance with much success.
So, on server 1 I registered a remote instance on server 2. No problem. I then went into the Cluster Manager and added this remote instance to my existing cluster. Upon clicking Submit I was greeted by a plain white screen that said only: 503 Server unavailable. Several refreshes predictably yielded the same thing.
I restarted the CF instance. Now I get IIS error 500, IsapiFilterModule when trying to access CF Admin
I re-ran my web server connector tool.
I've tried falling back to older server.xml files.
I'm sure something got screwed up when trying add to my cluster but without a CF Admin I'm not sure how to undo this.
All other instances and all remote instance on server 2 are fine. I can access them with no problem. But, I cannot access my main CFAdmin on Server 1.
Any help?
Found my answer a few minutes after posting, thankfully.
In my CF install directory I found a 'config' folder. In there I opened the cluster.xml file where I found the cluster config of my server. I removed the reference to the remote server I had registered and attempted to add to my cluster. Then I restarted the CF instance and re-ran the web config tool and that fixed it. Thank God! Was sweating that one for a while!
Not sure what happened here because everything is running normally otherwise. Like I said, I've run multi-instance CF in J2EE mode with much success in the past so this is a disappointment.

The "system" performed as designed. All devices syncing to one iCloud account are kept in common sync. The idea is that all such devices belong to one user. Different users should have different iCloud accounts. Once your contacts were edited, all devices were updated as well and subsequent backups (from yours and her device) reflected the changed contacts (and any other data that may have been edited like calendars). Your first task is to change your daughter over to a new account before she makes other changes.
The only way I see for getting back contacts is to restore them from a time machine backup, assuming you also have a Mac included in the account which syncs the contacts. However, I'm not sure whether time machine includes contacts from iCloud along with those that are local, "on my Mac".
Otherwise the deleted contacts are gone. -

last thing you can try would be go to settings, general, settings, reset all settings

If you created/burned Recovery Media boot from it to restore the original OS with all drivers/software. If you don't have Recovery Media you can order from HP for a small fee. cant change the old icloud mail to a new one because i have lost my password , and when i changed it in ap-id page it still remains the same, nothing changes .

i have lost my photos/videos when i imported from my ipad 2 to my new imac latest version OS X 10.8.4
and it's not reading the files. I have downloaded iMac library manager and can see them. when i go back into iphoto i'm getting the following message :

can someone shed some light please ?So it appears you have only one library on the hard drive. Apply the two fixes below in order as needed to that library:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory. -
I lost my Visual Voicemail when upgrading to iphone 5. New phone was set up from itunes backup of iphone4 but my Mac tells me there is an iCloud back up of my phone prior to this date. Will my Vis Voicemail be on this and can I get it on my new phone?
I see. Apple's documentation on what is included in the iCloud backup doesn't explicitly say that it contains voicemails, but that doesn't mean it does not. You would just have to try restoring the backup to find out.
To restore to your iCoud backup you have to start by erasing the phone. Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. Then go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud backup. You will then sign into your iCloud account, accept the terms and conditions, then choose the backup you wish to restore from. To see an older backup, you may need to tap "Show older backups" (see image below). Be sure your phone is connected to wifi and your charger as this may take some time to finish.
If this does not recover your voicemails, you can check to see if you have an older iTunes backup that may contain them. Available backups are shown in iTunes Preferences>Devices on the Backups list.
If all else fails, you could try contacting your carrier. Voicemail is a carrier feature and they may have an archive you could access. -
My FaceTime won't connect. Every time I try to call my friend it says connecting. Then unable to connect. Or lost connection. And when I go to our FaceTime history it said "FaceTime answered on another device." What can I do to fix this problem? We always used to FaceTime. And now all of the suddenly we can't.

Not sure why this is happening. Few users started complaining that they get this error. If they using direct login url to EBS (bypass link) - It works fine.

i have lost an fcpx project. when i search it, i'm directed to a backup file, but it's just (gibberish/code) text.
i think i was asked to install an update (something to do with libraries?) before i started working, but i didn't do the update.
don't know if this has anything to do with problem.

The backups for your version are date-time stamped as the name and with an extension of .fcpproject. They look like this.
The original project is named CurrentVersion.fcpproject.
You need to replace the CurrentVersion with the backup file and rename it to be CurrentVersion.fcpproject.
With FCPX closed, I suggest you move the original to the Trash, but not empty it. Then promote your backup one level higher in the project folder hierarchy (to be at the same level that the original previously occupied. Then rename the backup.
Open up FCPX, which should now recognize your project.

You do not hear the sound when you send an email to the trash. There is not sound at all. If you mean that you lost the sound when you send an email....
Check Settings>Sounds>Sent Mail>Swoosh and make sure it is on. If that checks out, you may have muted system sounds.
If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

Our company have just upgraded to iOS 6 and the majority of the users are now receiving the following error 'Cannot Get Mail – Server error. Contact your server administrator' when accessing ms exchange this never happened on iOS 5 can anyone help

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
