cansomeone help ? i just lost my i phone while doing errands in nearby town. had successfully downloaded find iphone app yesterday. verified how it worked. i don't remember how to go about finding the present location of my phone. what do i do? dan

i dont think its a network problem............jus followed these 2 steps:
"1) Go to Settings > General > Date and Time. Switch off “Set Automatically” and manually select your hometown (the default is Cupertino). If you dont change it, you will not be able to make outgoing calls. But the wierd part is, you will still be able to receive incoming calls. Once done, manually set the date and time, and restart your iPhone. If you want, you can reset the 2 settings to “Set Automatically” again.
2) Next, go to Settings > Phone > Show My Caller ID > Switch this to “ON”. Usually with these steps, things should be okay already. If not, you have to turn off “Call Forwarding” and “Call Waiting” as well."

Hello, I've replaced my phone a few weeks ago and I know that phones does heat up easily if you use it for long time or wath a video something like that but mine heats up very quickly even though I have only used for few minutes(while just playing games,having a call,just texting or charging) and the battery goes off very quickly too so I searched up how to save battery power and I've followed all of those methods to save battery but still it goes off very quickly. I am a bit worried if there is something wrong with my phone so if you have any idea of what's wrong or any suggestions, that would be amazing!

The Correct and unfortunately only answer would be ..... to look in the last place you had it before you lost it !
Or hope that someone charges it, turns it on, and you accidentally look at "find my phone" while this is all happening..... or a good person turns it into your provider so that they can return it.

First, you don't have a 5+ year old 3GS. The 3GS has only been around for under 4 years. In fact, 5 years ago there were NO iPhones; the original iPhone (2 generations before the 3GS) came out on June 29, 2007 - not quite 5 years ago. The 3GS was released June 19, 2009.
That aside, you can sync multiple phones to one computer - see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1495. boogeyman is wrong. Well I figured it out, right click the arrow that makes the screen bigger and unclick the Hide Toolbar. I knew it couldn't be that hard.

Have you rendered both iOS 7 and iOS 8 (both of which will work on your iPhone 5) out of the question entirely without trying every possible configuration? The animations can be disabled entirely, if that's the problem. And if the whiter-brighter user interface is the problem, there's reverse-contrast modes that darken everything. You can expose accessibility controls to gain immediate access to these functions to toggle them on and off. I guess my point is you may have decided against upgrading the OS based on an early experience with iOS 7 when Apple has since made changes in later revisions to address some of the usability complaints.
Now, Apple's instructions for downloading older versions of apps is to do so from the Purchased list, not from the app's product page.

I don't think it would really matter at this point. A lot can happen in 2 months. Did you report this loss to your carrier? If the carrier supports blacklisting phones, they probably did that. If they don't, there isn't much you can do.

LOL. in that case it is a update/upgrade feature for my smartband.
It have never done the vibration before. Band died on me a few times when I didn't pay attention to the battery level.

If you want to sync it to the iPad from that Mac, you need to upgrade it to at least 10.5.8.
If you want to copy the music to another Mac, you don't. Move the iTunes folder of the item in the Finder's sidebar over as you would any other folder. If you put it somewhere other than the Music folder, launch iTunes with the Option key held down and point it to that location.

If plugging it into power doesn't cause it to power back on, you're going to have to make an appointment at the genius bar and get it serviced.

Ok....so I have found a work around....if not a complete solution.
I'm not sure if deleting your music, uninstalling ITunes and reinstalling and adding your music back will actually affect it but I tried it again. Started from scratch.
I checked the box for "Manually manage music and videos"
Then I moved my music to phone via drag and drop, usually just boxing a row of albums at a time.
I went back into my Iphone and began the sync. The message popped up, "1 Item could not be synced" and the sync stopped. At that point, I just clicked sync again and it started back up again. It took a few go's but eventually I got all my music on my phone.
Ironically enough, the only songs that wouldn't sync were songs that I had actually purchased from Itunes....kinda odd
