Lost my iphone 5 and need your help please since i downloaded find my iphone and can only locate my ipad
If Find My iPhone doesn't show a location for the iPhone, then unless your carrier offers some sort of tracking service, there will be no way to locate the phone other than to just look for it. Notify the police in case someone turns it in and change passwords to your Apple ID and any other online services you used from your iPhone.

If you go to the computer where your sync your phone to and open itunes and then go to edit in the tool bar then preferences then device preferences then devices.. hover the mouse pointer over your device name in the back up lists that appear there and it shows the IMEI

I want to know how to activate the app "find my iPhone" in this air book mac. I have to app down loaded on this machine as well as my iPhone and havent got a clue how to get it activated through "I Tunes"....Can I get some advice?
First of all, your lost iPhone should had been enabled the 'Find My iPhone' before you lost it. If disabled, then there is nothing you can do to find the lost iPhone.
If your iPhone was enabled in 'Find My iPhone', then click the app 'Find My iPhone' in your airbook mac. It would prompt yuo for an Apple ID and its password. Key-in the Apple ID and password of your lost iPhone. Thereafter, use the Map to locate your iPhone's whereabouts. This function only works when your lost iPhone has been turned on and with either WIFI connection or 3G internet connection. Otherwise, this said app does not work. -
Can someone please explain and help me? I am unlocking an iphone4 from at&t to use it on the straight talk network. They've confirmed my request to do this and I am now a little confused as to what to do next. They want me to back up the phone using itunes on either a MAC or PC. I do not have an aplle computer but I do have an acer. Sooo, can I use it to do this? Or do I even have to do this to unlock and switch the iphone4 over to a new network? Install iTunes on your Acer and you can back up the iPhone. Or back it up to iCloud. If you do not back it up you can get it unlocked, but you will lose all of your content.

Even after unlocking I'm not sure it will work on Straight Talk, because last time I checked ST used Verizon as its carrier, and an AT&T iPhone 4 is not compatible with Verizon's network. You can probably use it on Net 10 or T-Mobile once it is unlocked. -

How RIM lost my PlayBook, and isn't helping me get it back.
When I say lost, I know exactly where it is - at Customs, awaiting a commercial invoice from RIM. It's been there since the 19th of June. This is now the 2nd of July - two weeks later.
I sent my Playbook on a RMA to RIM to be repaired. It was a stupidly tedious process - it took RIM a full month to get the FedEx box to me. I followed the instructions and sent the PB off to be repaired (the cameras stopped working.)
Unfortunately I did not wipe it - I was not anticipating any issues. I removed the password and removed all the accounts though - email, Linkedin, Facebook.
It was repaired in a couple days and shipped back. Took a day via FedEx to reach the local office, where it remains to this day. Customs will not clear it without an invoice which should indicate whether the repair work was under warranty or paid for by me (in which case they tax the cost of the repair).
I have been emailing customer support almost daily. They responded to the first, and subsequently they have not even bothered to acknowledge receipt. I have a whole long string of email from me, requesting info on what is going on, but nothing back. Needless to say, I am extremely annoyed.
My biggest problem, other than non-response from RIM, is that when FedEx decides that they have had the device long enough, they will hand it over to the Customs office, who will then auction it off to someone else. That means my $599 investment (I bought it in May 2011) is down the toilet thanks to RIM.
Does anyone have any ideas? Yes, I plan to phone the customer service line, but it is not a toll-free number from Barbados. So I have to get a PC and set up Skype to do it. Probably this evening. Not expecting any joy there.Doughnutdemon wrote:

If you have synced your phone with your computer then all your contacts are on it.. Even if you wipe your phone and then find it you can still sync your phone and find all of your contacts will be back exactly how you had them.. If you need to buy a new phone you can also sync your phone and yet again all your contacts will be on the phone.. It's really important to sync your phone on a regular basis. you can do it by your cord to plug in or with iCloud you can do it without connecting at all

I just bought iphone 4g and after using it for some time i became very sad as it has alot of problems that i want your help to solve them..first u should know that my iphone came with ios 4.2.1 and locked to vodafone and my 1st problem is when i connect iphone via wifi to my TP Link access point which is connected to Linksys router ,i can surf net for some time but suddenly iphone lose its net connection and then all web broswsers and even App store and itunes applications become not able to open any net page and all of them say that there is no internet connection although iphone is connected very well to acess point and iphone say that wifi signal strength is excellent and internet at this time is working very very well in other devices via wifi also like my laptop and nokia n95 phone and ar this time i have to switch wifi off in iphone and switch it on again to make it able to use wifi internet connection again and my 2nd problem is with bluetooth as when i try to connect iphone to bluetooth headset ,iphone keep saying Searching but it can not find any bluetooth device so i am very sorry for this long topic but as u see this device is full off bugs :((

Message was edited by: tad88First the bluetooth issue. Your headset or other bluetooth device needs to be 'discoverable'. You may need to press a sequence of buttons on the device to get it into this mode. If it has ever been paired to anything, it is probably not discoverable by default. This is normal. Consult the manual for your headset. Otherwise any yahoo on the street could connect to your headset.
As for the WiFi issue, I would check with the access point vendor to see if there is a firmware upgrade available. If my search results were accurate, this is a "Super G" access point, which means its implementation of 802.11G is somewhat non standard.
If a firmware update doesn't fix it, see if you can disable the 'Super G' feature and see how it works on 802.11G. Failing that, throttle it down to 802.11B as a test.
It's most likely a compatibility problem with your specific wireless access point. -

Did you have Find My iPhone enabled on your iPhone in its settings? If so, go to www.icloud.com and use your Apple iCloud ID to use the Find My iPhone app.

If there's a passcode on it(good for you!), then whoever stole it can only access your information if they can guess your passcode. However, they would likely get it disabled before guessing correctly, and be forced to Restore it. At that point, your information would be wiped off the device.
And Apple can do nothing to help you, unfortunately. If you did, however, set up "Find My iPhone" before you lost it, then you can track the device. If not, then sorry - you're probably not getting your iPhone back.
