Lost my iphone, i needed to appear on find my iphone but i don't want it to access my account.

i lost my iphone , but i'm keeping track of it on find my iphone.
lately i purchesed a new device and connected it to the same Apple ID i was using on my lost phone.
i don't want the theif to access my account nor be able to purchase or update through it. yet i need to keep it on find my iphone list.
PS: i changed the password of the my apple ID today.
my question:
is it possible to remove the phone fromthe association list but keep it on find my ipohne list in the same time?
