  • Help! I think I have lost daughters iPod Touch notes!

I hope someone can help me. My dd has a 2nd gen. iPod Touch 8gb. I have the 4th gen. iPod Touch 64gb. We have one MacBook. One the MacBook we have a main iTunes library. With help from someone on these forums I created an iTunes library on the MacBook specifically for my dd so she can keep her music and "stuff" separate from the main iTunes library.
Today I was trying to figure out how to "save" her notes to her email account on the computer. I connected her iPod to her iTunes account. When it was done syncing her notes were gone and the notes from MY iPod were on HERS. What did I do wrong? (I should have left well enough alone, I know . . .) Is there anyway to get her notes back? Are they stored on the computer somewhere or are they just gone? I see I can remove my notes by unchecking the sync notes box when I connect her iPod but I was hoping to figure out how to sync her notes so they could be saved . . . please help!

    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    iCloud: Find My iPhone
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.

    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

  • IPod Touch 64GB won't stay charged

I have a iPod touch 64GB that won't keep a charge longer then 1-3 hours even after I fully charge it. My iPod has never done this before nor did it show any sign of battery lose. It seemed to come on after this new upgrade to iTunes, I don't know if that has anything to do with it? I've taken good care of my battery, charging it fully and then using it to the end, I never left it on charge when it was finished charging, and I don't play but one game on it for only a few minutes. Its only use is to play music. I have tried turning it off (Holding off/on/sleep button until it ask me to Power off by sliding) but that has not helped.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    -  Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • I lost my iPod touch and now have a new one.  Is there a way to transfer all the songs on have in iTunes onto the new iPod?

I lost my iPod touch and bought a new one?  Is there a way to transfer all the songs I have in iTunes onto the new iPod?  I am scared I will lose it all when I sync the new one or that I have to start all over.   Please help!!

You can do better than that. You can click on the Restore button that appears under your device in iTunes. This will restore your iPod to factory settings as if it were fresh out of the box. But don't worry. By doing a restore, you will then be given the option to "Restore from Backup." This will allow you to restore the state of your previous iPod!!

  • My computer broke and I lost my ipod touch at the same time. Then I put all of my new music on my nano. Then I found my ipod touch. How do I get the music from the ipod touch to the computer and also keep the music I bought for the nano?

I have an ipod touch and an ipod nano. I also used to have a laptop but, it quit working and I no longer have it. I had all of my music on my laptop. So, I had to buy a new desktop. I lost my ipod touch at around the same time. I had all of my music on the ipod touch that was from my laptop. So in thye meantime I started using my nano more. I bought new songs on my desktop for my nano. Then I found my ipod touch. I would like to be able to keep both the somgs I have now on my ipod touch and the ones that I already bought on the desktop. What do I do?

    No.
All iTunes content on your iPod Touch should be in your iTunes library on your computer, and your iTunes library on your computer should be included with your computer's backup along with all other important data - stored on an external drive or some other external media used for backup purposes only.
When music was purchased on a CD, if the CD was lost and you returned to the store where the CD was purchased with your receipt, were you given a replacement CD?
    The same applies here.

  • How many songs can you put in an Ipod touch 64GB if you only use it for music?

I've heard the Ipod classic 160GB is discontinued. Could someone tell me how many songs you can put in the Ipod touch 64GB if you exclusively use it for music and don't put any photos, videos or anything?

I just did some quick figuring. There are a lot of variables. My 64gb 5th gen touch has only 56.6gb capacity so says the unit. Settings>General>About.
MP3 formatted songs vary greatly. I quickly perused my collection and found that the size varied from 3-7MB per song. Using the average of 4MB per song,(7MB is a rather large file for MP3) you will come up with 56.6 X 1024MB (1024 MB per 1GB) =57958MB/4 =14489 songs. This will probably never happen as there is cover artwork and different variables because of file size to consider. This gives you an Idea where to start.

  • I lost my Ipod touch yesterday. Can I disconnect my credit card information from my account and thereby eliminate that liability?

I lost my Ipod touch yesterday. Can I disconnect my credit card information from the account to avoid someone accessing my account and charging on it?

No, Apple cannot locate your iPod for you. If you didn't have Find My iPod set up before you lost the iPod, there's no way to trace it.
    Regards.

  • IPod Touch 64GB activated October 2013 - how do I get the free iLife, iPhoto and iMovie apps?

I purchased (from an authorised seller - Dixons Duty Free, Heathrow) and activated an iPod Touch 64GB on 18th October 2013 (prior to the announcement of free iLife, iPhoto and iMovie apps but after the 1st Sepember 2013 date in their conditions). It had iOS6 preinstalled. I've updated to iOS7. How do I get the free iLife, iPhoto and iMovie apps? The App Store is trying to charge me for theese.

Problem solved from information found in another thread....
If your iOS device was activated for the first time after September 1, go to the App Storeon your iPod which should open to Featured. If not, tap on Featured at the lower left of the screen & scroll down to Collections & tap on New to the App Store? then scroll down to Apps Made by Apple & tap. You should now see the iWork & iLife apps as "FREE."

  • What to do when I lost my iPod touch?

What do I do when my daughter lost her iPod touch?

If ou turned on Settings > iCloud > Find My before it was lost, login to our iCloud account, click Find My Phone and see if it shows up.
To show Find My must have been turned on, it must be powered p, and it must be connected to the Internet.  Without all of those you will not be able to find it.

  • IBooks on iOS4 3rd gen iPod touch 64GB - crash causing reset

I'm not sure if others have experienced the problem but I've been using iBooks and I'm finding that the device randomly resets while in use.
The problem is not connected to a particular ebook or PDF, it seems to happen randomly - even a couple of times while browsing the bookshelf. I have approximately 300 books and PDFs installed.
Using iBooks on a 3rd gen iPod touch 64GB, running iOS 4

Finally decided to disable the wifi on my Cisco router & that seems to have fixed the problem. Must have been a conflict.

  • When you download iTunes material, does iTunes record the IP used where it is being downloaded to?  I am trying to track a lost/missing IPOD Touch and want to know if they have that data.

When you download iTunes material, does iTunes record the IP used where it is being downloaded to?  I am trying to track a lost/missing IPOD Touch and want to know if they have that data.   It was left on a small street and someone has found it and has been hacking into my account by resetting my password.  They took about 41+ dollars from my account.   I am hoping the IP it was connecting with to download to it was tracked and that I can get that information to figure out where it is located.

No. From the second link below.

  • A different error every time I sync my iPod Touch 64GB

I have an iPod Touch 64GB. After iOS4 upgrade and iTunes update, at least half of the times I connect it to my pc (Windows 7 64bit) some error comes up like, the ipod is disconnected (when it's not), a duplicate file has been created, the requested file cannot be found, error -48, error -64... you name it.
When this happens, I get a screen asking if I want to set it up as a new iPod, or if I want to restore from backup. If I select restore from backup, it tries to, takes an hour and then some error pops up, forcing me to set it up as a new iPod, which takes another hour.
A few days ago I decided I'd had it and restored it completely to factory settings, losing all my information (remember it never can restore from backup?) in the hopes that it would make it function normally again. Until last night... when I tried syncing again and again the errors, and having to set it up as a new iPod.
I've read many posts here, about deleting iPod Photo Cache and other solutions, none of them work. My iPod is NOT jailbroken, nor do I use any iToner or any other plug-in or weird non-Apple application to tweak it somehow...
    Any answers?
    Any suggestions?
How do I avoid having to set up my iPod as new every time I plug it to my pc?

Ok, so I tried syncing again, again the myriad of errors, one pop up after the next, you know the drill. At last, I set up the iPod as new iPod and when I did that it leaves it as having to sync all podcasts, iTunesU, photos, contacts, calendar, as new. But before I did that, a new pop up, an update for the iPod software version 4.0.2 (8A400). I updated the iPod and then checked all the boxes to sync all my content... so far, it's working. I'm hopeful that this update will fix the problems. If not, then I think I'll have to take it back to claim the warranty. Cause I don't see what else to do. I'll be back here with news.
