Lost my movies after update 3.0...

After updating to 3.0, it deleted all my movies. I only had half backed up. How can I retrieve the rest of my movies??? If I can't, will Apple refund the movies I bought? I have all the receipts saved on my computer. I know its my fault for not backing up the rest but, ***? What kinda update erases your movies???
P.S. I upgraded to 3.1 post losing all my movies to see if they would appear… they didn't :'(

I have the same. All my content got erased. I didn't sync it, because my main computer is a macbook pro with a 256ssd, (and before an 160hdd) so didn't want my hard drive to be filled with movies. But now the appletv is empty, I installed 3.0.1 as per apples suggestion, but no content to be found. Will the issue the ability to re-download? If I take my car to the garage for new oil, and they mess up the seats, they're going to give me new seats. I wonder why the software business is allowed to make costly mistakes? I know this is a hobby for apple, but this is ridiculous.

It sounds like you are trying to find the Personal Hotspot option in your Settings. You were close. The option is directly under Settings, and not in the Cellular section of Settings:
Go to Settings > Personal Hotspot

No problems here but you can re download the FB app from the App Store right on your iPhone.

Firefox reverts to older version on own. Now cannot re-install lost plugs even after updated rev.

Over time (months usually) firefox seems to revert to an earlier version that I was using, customization would be lost. This last instance, I lost plug ins and cannot get them to re-install though the process works as it always used to. I even tried re-installation after updating to the latest rev of firefox. I like Adblock and Noscript, but they will not re-install.

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems, make sure that the window is not maximized:

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause.

i thought my ringtones were in the cloud. if I download a song it shows up on my Mac and my iTunes with a cloud next to it so I can download it anytime. Why don't I have that option with ringtones?

Restore the backup that you made when you last synced your phone to iTunes on your computer. Alternatively, if you enabled iCloud backup on the phone, you can restore from the latest iCloud backup by going to Settings/General/Reset - Erase all content and settings.

This problem can be resolved by rebooting your iPod touch. Hold down the power button and wait for the upper red slider. Then slide it to shut down, and after a minute, click the power button for 5 seconds to boot it up.

you can restore them if you had them backed up over icloud
or check if there's any left on your sim card (settings > mail, contacts,... > import from sim card)

Iphone 4 Lost all Data after updating

Hi there..
i got headache reading everywhere to find a solution to my problem, and didn't find any useful tips so far, i haven't slept for the past 24 hours because of this..
last day i did an update to my itunes to the latest version, and upgraded my iphone, while doing that my iphone got an error that it couldn't be updated and got stuck on recovery mode, and itunes asked me to do a restore to factory sitting, which i did, but in the last few seconds it just shows an error message that it cant update, and i get error 10, so i did what the manual said and tried using another computer which fortunately worked..
so i return to my first computer and tried to restore my backup files, and then i faced another problem, there was not enough space on my hard drive, i kept moving files away, deleting others and trying again, and every time i try, it takes up more space and i end up with few Kb on the drive.. i didn't know what to do, and got confused i think i click on back up instead of sync at some point, and when i realized that i hurried and unplugged the USP from the iphone, and in that moment a 3GB worth of data disappeared from my hard drive (i think it was the data the ituens kept creating while restoring back up) and a new back up worth 5mb was created on my back up folder..
now what i have on my iphone are my contact list, and my notes ..
what i don't have is 6 months worth of pictures and videos taken from the iphone, and my apps that are worth around $40 - $50
i read that iphone sync your data before doing a full restore, and i found 3 files on my back up folder one is 902 mb, secound 1.06GB and the third is 508 MB the first two dating today's date on 8:03 AM, the last one is also today on 6:33 AM which was the time i unplugged my USP from my iphone (i think)
i'v downloaded a program called "iPhone Backup Extractor" and saw that these folders contain all contacts, 300+ calender stuff and some messages (which i totally don't care for)but the photos and videos are marked None T_T
the question i'm asking is, how can i restore those lost pictures and videos, since they are very important to me, and how can i get my apps back?? i'v tried going to app store and downloading Whatsapp which i bought before, but now it asks me to pay again
i have some apps that is worth $5 and $10 each, i wouldn't mind paying for $.99 app again, but i can't pay more for an already paid app for that much yet again!!
by the way I have a windows Xp which i'm using, the restore worked on a windows 7 laptop

so i was playing around seeing if i can get the apps back, and after going through the payment process it recognized that i'v bought this already, so i was able to download my stuff back.. (should have figured this out already, since it was an online transaction)
Still want to recover my camera roll, and i was wondering if chat logs could be recovered too, such as for the whatsapp???

Image moves after updating

I have a document containing some scanned linked images in indesign. However when I see some errors in in them, I crop them in Photoshop. When these images get updated, they either increase in their size ( if I have autofit enabled), or change their position if I have autofit disabled. Is there a way so that the image stays in place after I crop them in Photoshop? I’m using indesign cs6

Pixel dimensions is the size, in pixels, of the image. Resolution is how large you wish to print those pixels by specifying how may will fill a defined space, ie. 300 pixels in the space of an inch. Resolution has nothing to do with number of pixels that the image contains. When you crop the image in Photoshop you are cutting off pixels and throwing them away -- changing the pixel dimensions for the image.

That's what I mean (except that I also mean you can move the image around inside the frame rather than adjusting the frame itself). There is no functional difference in your output if you crop in ID, and there are plenty of advantages, like the ability to reposition or show more of the image, and the size of the image doesn't change if you edit.
