Lost my music downloaded from cd's for my ipod classic when updated?

Please explain to me how to recover music I lost (3300 songs). I have tried the option of previous itune library copied the last folder and still cannot recover anything. Most of the songs were from cd's and labeled folders.... I can't imagine losing my sentiments... Please help me out.

If using a Mac, use Migration Assistant to move your iTunes library from old computer to new.  Afterwards you can sync from your new computer to your iPod.
