I ALLREADY HAVE A HP PHOTOSMART PLUS PRINTER, BUT I LOST MY SOFTWARE INSTALLATION CD. I JUST ACCUIRED ANOTHER MAC, AND WOULD LIKE TO INSTALL THE PRINTER IN THIS COMPUTER.
WHAT CAN I DO TO INSTALL IT?

What you can do is go to the Support and Drivers Area of the Hp website by following the link http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html
- just type in the Version of of the Photosmart you have, and then follow that by the Version of the MAC OS that you are running
- you will want to do this from the computer you are wanting to install the printer on.
simply download the Driver and Install and that Should Assist you in getting that printer set up on that computer as if it was coming from the Disk itself

Hold down the Option key while you boot your Mac. Then, it should show you a selection of devices. Click your flash drive and it will boot from that.

Serial numnbers are platform specific so you will not be able to use it for the Mac if it was initially designated for a PC. YOu will need to perform a platform swap. See the following for information:

Like a fool I tried to download the new software for my 3GS. Now oI can't get the dam thing activated. I'm in Portugal but my phone originates from the UK. Help.
I actually interpreted this as a carrier lock issue. If that is the case the OP needs to contact the UK carrier who owns the rights to lock the iPhone. Only that carrier can unlock it.
Was the iPhone unlocked by means of jailbreak software? If that is the case, then the reply from Phil McCafrey would apply to this as well. -

The new machine has Mavericks which is fine. And I will leave it as is. I don’t want anything from my old machine other than 2 apps that I will need on the new one. I want to be able to install those apps that I bought from the App Store onto my new computer. I assume Apple doesn’t want me to have the apps installed on 2 machines at the same time so I wonder if just uninstalling them from my old machine will release them for re-install on the new one. -

BarryThat's exactly what I tried to do, but the iPhoto librry doesn't show up in the pulldown menu. If I click "Choose Folder", the iPhoto library is greyed out and unable to be selected.
For some reason, iPhoto is an option in the pulldown library on my older iMac but not on my MacBook Pro. What gives? -

y iPad2 is frozen, I am trying to download the upgrade software but fails after a while, how can I solve the issue. I have not upgraded the iPad 2 since I bought it.
Try and force iPad into Recovery Mode:
1. Turn off iPad
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad -
