Lost Nomad MuVo2 4.0 GB Installation

Anybody knows if there's an installation file available so I can install my player?
-Thanks in advance!

What do you want to install, and what is it that you think you're missing? The MuVo? doesn't actually need any drivers if installed on Windows Me/2000/XP.

  • Nomad Muvo2 fm (5GB) should I buy

I'm thinking of getting the Nomad muvo2 fm (5GB) I know it's a older model but its stats still shape up pretty well. Can any one give me reasons not to buy it's Or if they have had problems with them.
I'm worried about buying the Zen Micro because of the problem with jack.

I generally hear good things about the MuVo?, there are of course some players that have had problems like any player.

  • Need input on Nomad Muvo2 4GB, plea

    Hello all.
I am new to the mp3 world and have placed an order for the Nomad Muvo2 4GB--it is not too late to cancel. I have read as many reviews as possible (cnet, amazon, consumer reports, etc.). Overall, the reviews appear to be fairly positi've. But, I have a few questions because a few trends have surfaced in my reading.
    # - Does this player suffer from the headphone jack nightmare other Creative products have?
#2 - Does the hard dri've actually produce clicking sounds during use--and is it a glitch?
#3 - Is this mp3 player prone to problems that surface right around the 90-day warranty?
#4 - Can this mp3 player be used during exercise (ie jogging) without adversely affecting its performance?
#5 - Should I consider another model (or maker)? My budget is very limited, though. I found the Muvo2 for $09; I can't afford to go much higher.
Thanks for any input you might provide.

I've had the Muvo2 for about 6 months now and have used it regularly and I have to say it works great! In answer to your questions ....
) No, I've never had a problem with the headphone jack. It works fine with no clicking or popping.
    2) The hardri've you can only hear a slight clicking in a dead silent room and it's only when it starts up. While it's running, you can't hear it at all.
    3) Again, I've had it 6 month without so much as a glitch. No freeze ups, nothing.
    4) I use it during my workouts at the gym but I only use an ellipse machine or a stair climber ... in addition to lifting weights. None of those exercises will jar it much. I'm not sure how it would fare using it to jog but in general, a flash player would be much better suited for jogging. Problem is, on your $00, give or take a few bucks budget, you'll probably only be getting about a 256mb player.
    5) Again, I think I answered your question above. You pretty much get what you pay for and if you have an extensi've library of music, you'll definitely need a hard dri've based player. If you don't have a lot of music and you're willing to listen to an FM radio some of the time, there are a few of them out there. Not only from Creative, but from iri'ver, rca, etc.
I would definitely recommend this player though because it sounds great and has an FM radio.
    Hope this helped!

  • Lost connection in Adobe Flash Player Installer

Everytime I try and install flash player, the Adobe Fash Player Installer runs fine until i get to the "downloading" part. It always gets stuck at 7% on this step and then says "lost connection. trying to reconnect", then it says "connection failed. Unable to complete Install". I have tried power cycling the device, using multiple browsers, uninstalling flash and downloading the newest version installer, nothing in trouble shooting has helped. Screenshots below. Please help!
    Thanks!

    Mike M,
I was experiencing this issue with watching videos using the flash player on my MAc. When i was trying to install the update i ran into another issue which i explained to you in the previous email. you were able to resolve that issue and i have updated flash player. After updating flash player, i am still having the issue. you can see that i have replicated the issue in two different browsers in the screenshots below. Do you have any suggestions on how to watch videos using the flash player??
Thank you for your assistance on the first issues

  • Nomad MuVo2 File organization H

Hey all, I have a 4 GB MuVo2 and I was wondering how I can organize my files within a folder by track number. When I view a folder in Windows, I can select Details to show name, album, track, etc. I can then sort by track number for an album and it will rearrange my files by track, ,2,3, etc. When I upload that folder to my MuVo2, they are?put in alphabetical order. Does the MuVo2 only read and organize by name? Would the ONLY way to get these files in order by track is to put an 0, 02, 03 etc. in front of each name on each file

you;d have to put the "0,02,03.etc" in front of the track names, I had a movo2 and had the same question, but worked it out quickly... It's not really that time consuming, and worth it if you want to scroll through songs

  • Nomad MuVo2 4gb-not longer loading fi

Last night I after adding new songs to my nomad player I got a smart scan alert, unable to get out of recovery mode (even after following all the trouble shooting directions in the manual) I ended up cleaning the storage memory. Now when I try to upload songs to the player I get a Windows (XP) error that it can't get the file to the device. Then the player stalls and is unable to disconnect properly, leading to it either going into scan mode (scenario A in the manual), or I have to pop out the batter to get it to function again. I was able to get an album or two on there but now now I can't even get one song. Is this a larger hardware problem? It was working like a dream previously.

Try a disk cleanup from rescue mode. If you get media errors then it's most likely that the hard disk is failing or has failed.

  • Nomad Muvo2 1.5 GB Battery Prob

Hi. I bought a muvo2 .5 gb two days ago and here is my problem. When i tried to charge the battery the first time, it couldn't be fully charged. The charging symbol disappeared and now i can play it only 4 hours. What should i do?
    Sorry for lacking English

The first charge shouldn't matter that much, despite a lot of information to the contrary on the net (you can see at the famous BatteryUni'versity.com).
It might be that the battery is faulty, but you haven't said what type of files you are playing.
Best thing to do is fully charge the battery again, load and queue up some 28 kbit/s MP3 files, then play until the battery is flat. You should get around 4 hours play time.

  • Nomad Muvo2 1.5gb Firmware prob

    Hi,
When i insert the battery, the nomad muvo 2 automatically power on and freeze on "Muvo 2". In the recovery mode i can't format or do anything, because the player freezes. The computer don't recognizes the player, and i can't update the firmware. What is the solution?
    Raul Nakano

If Rescue Mode is not working the player is faulty unfortunately.

You can try calling Apple, but I'm not sure how you'll go even if you did register AppleWorks. And if Apple expect you to repurchase it then have a look at eBay or an online discount site like Deal Mac or Deals on the Web (both are listed at macsurfer.com).

  • Nomad MuVo2 4.0gb----HELP needed (plea

My 9 year old daughter received this mp3 player last year for christmas and I was wondering if there are any speaker systems or docking stations that go with it's Also, I am thinking about getting her a home shelf stereo system for christmas this year--can you some how hook the Nomad MuVo 4.0 up to it's If so, are there special cables needed?
Thank you for your help---I am slowly learning about this electronic stuff!!!

    Jason,
Thanks so much for replying. I was just thinking of buying my daughter some kind of stereo system around $00 for christmas. I just want to make sure that she will be able to hook up her Nomad and listen to the songs that she has on the nomad thru the stereo. I have no clue as to which system I will be buying but if you could tell me what I need to look for, that would be great. Audio in? Audio out? Got me!!
!! Any idea if Creative will be coming out with a docking station for this mp3 player?
    Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving,

  • Lost administrative user after 10.7 installation

I recently installed OS 10.7, and my administrative user has converted to standard. I had to install on a 2nd internal drive, since my 1st drive, where the 10.6 had been located, wasn't GUID. The installation brought over my accounts, but made them all standard and left me with no administrative user, without which I can't even reset the clock.
My old system is still sitting on the other drive, and a Time Machine back-up is sitting on an external drive. But I can't get to either (by changing the startup disk or via Time Machine) because either step requires an administrative user. I can't empower a root user, because that requires an administrative user (as far as I know). (Fortunately I can get to my old data on the 1st drive.)
Irk! Can anyone help with this?

    Try the method here
Mac OS X 10.5: Administrator user changes to standard
except that for Lion, rather than getting to the Reset Password utility via an Install DVD,  instead do the following:
Hold “Option” at boot and select the “Recovery” disk at the boot menu
Wait for “Mac OS X Utilities” menu to appear, indicating that you are booted into recovery mode
Click on the “Utilities” menu and select “Terminal”
Launch Terminal from Mac OS X Lion Recovery Menu
    Type the following:
        resetpassword
That should get you to Lion's Reset Password utility. From there follow  the instructions in the Leopard article for resetting the root password, then successively quit the Reset Password utility, Terminal, and Mac OS X Utiities,. Reboot, and again follow the instructions in the article.
    Edit:
Just remembered that there is an apparent bug reported in Lion that can make it difficult to log out of the root account - see

  • Does anyone know if the Nomad muvo2 xtrainer will ever be upgraded to support secure

A bit misleading, The "playsforsure" site says that the xtrainer will work on sites that require secure wma support (FYE Subscription service and Napster to go). I like the idea of renting my music instead of paying a buck a track for songs that wont be listened to in a couple of months. When I checked the plays for sure site, I saw the xtrainer listed there and liked the idea of the flash memory andnot the hard dri've (i workout hard and ride mountain bike with it). So I bought it... Straight from creative thru ebay. When I get it I find out that it doesnt support secure WMA, so unless they are planning on upgrading the firmware, am going to have to buy another one.
Does anyone know (or a creative employee?) if they will be supporting secure wma in future upgrades?
    Thanks
    Bob

It will support some types of DRM, but I think the subscription services aren't supported yet.

  • Nomad Muvo2 h

I just got this player today, but in the instructions it doesn't say how to convert cd files to mp3's so that i can play them on my player. There was a program called Creative Audio Converter that came with it, but when i tried converting the .cda files from my cd into mp3's, it wouldn't let me. it said that type of file was not supported. Can anyone help here?Message Edited by ubersoldier87 on 0-24-2005 08:42 PMMessage Edited by ubersoldier87 on 0-24-2005 08:45 PM
