Lost Notes App on iPad after failed backup and reset, how do i find them?
I have lost very important notes from my Notes App on my iPad2 after a failed backup and reset. How do I find my lost notes? They do not appear to be backed up in my iCloud account or Gmail account.
This happened to me too but it was really all there. Go to your calendar, click on calendar in the upper left hand corner, click on show all calendars, click done in the right upper corner. Everything should show up!!!

I have been searching for a month for a Notetaking app for the iphone which has these attributes:
able to import/export notes from some form of text file suchas csv. I need to bring over a large number of notes from my android phone. I can perl-script and should be able to massage my data into any format requiredby any text-based importer. I would expect this feature to be based either on itunes or a proprietary sync program on a Mac.
encryption (not just a password), preferably AES-256 bit orhigher
features categories, tags, or folders (any one of these isfine)
able to backup and restore notes in encrypted form, in caseof loss of device
You would think this is a very basic set of features, but I have notbeen able to find anything on the App store that includes all of thesefeatures. If you know of any such app, please let me know.
Thanks a lot!There should be some utilities that might do that on macupdate.com if you search around in there. It could be done as a macro action in Photoshop, but that's an expensive solution for this. VueScan could also potentially do it, but is also not cheap.
Also, some of the utilities that come bundled with scanners may be able to do this, but only when running the scanner they came with.
Definitely the features exist on the Mac like auto-recognition of multiple images on a page, auto-rotation, auto-levels, PDF export etc. You just need to find them in the right combination in the right app. -
Yikes! After upgrading my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5, I lost my Contacts, calendar entries, and Notes (100+) on my iPhone (3 years old). How do I retrieve them? My last backup/sync to iTunes acct was Sept 18 but yesterday's backup bombed due to lack of space on my C: drive.

I can't open my files (pdf) from "pages" app on ipad after taping on "copy from itunes". I see the name of the file but when I tap on it nothing happens.
The acsm file is not the book, it is a ticket to get the book. I sometimes get library books online, here is what I do.
1. Start ADE on the computer
2. Go to library website and find the book I want to download.
3. Click on the download link
4. In windows 7 a box opens asking whether I want to open( or run) or save the acsm file
5. Click open/run and ADE downloads the book into the "Library"
6. Transfer the book (epub file) to the reader. -

iCloud support is built into iOS. If you chose not to activate it initially, go to the Settings app, and choose iCloud (about halfway down the left-hand column). If you don’t have an iCloud account associated with your iPad, or you want to change it, first click on the “Account” setting. Then you can turn on many other iCloud features from this settings panel. -

Open iTunes, scroll to the bottom of the main page, tap your account name, log out then sign in with the correct name. -
After doing the backup and restore how do you know if the iphone is unlocked if you do not get the message: "Unlock Complete. Congratulations, your iPhone has been unlocked. To set up and sync this iPhone, click Continue."
If you don't get the message, your phone is NOT unlocked.

I thought my pictures was safe in the iCloud, but I was not aware of the 30 days and the 1000 pictures, so I lost quite a lot of pictures... is there any possibilities to find them again? I have only used iphone and ipad.
Not through iCloud, but are they still on your iPad or iPhone? Open Photos, then go to the Albums and see if they are still in the main Camera Roll rather than My Photo Stream. If they are in there, it would be a good idea to sync the devices to a computer so you can store the photos.

Hard Reset
Press and hold BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
if no result try to back up and restore via itunes on a computer.
if wont restore try this
recovery mode
open itunes on computer
plug cable into computer not iOS device
turn device off
hold home button and plug cable into IOS device. do not release home button until an itunes graphic appears on IOS device.
look to computer should have message about recovery mode click ok and restore

Apple Configurator not restoring new iPad 2 with backup
I've been using Apple Configurator to restore new, out-of-the-box iPads with a back up image in order to skip the registration process and bind them to Profile Manager. Now that iPads are coming with OS 6, it seems that it's causeing the iPads to fail restore and I have to set the iOS setting to Latest (used to be "No Change").
I've remade back ups, updated to Apple Configurator 1.2.1, and taken out the profiles, but it seems that no matter what I do I can't restore an iPad 2 with just a backup without installing the latest iOS. It takes 4-5 times longer for each iPad and really slows down my deployment.
Thanks for any advice you can give me.What if you get the "iPhone couldn't restore due to corruption"? That might be because of a difference in the iOS or simple because the previous backup process wasn't fully successful. Then I might recommend you to take a look at the iPhone Backup Extractor. Also I would love to see you picking up such a subject, how we can deal with corrupt backups. Cheers!
